I have two pagetrees in a TYPO3 (6.2) with different Domain records.
Tree A is the tree where we log into the backend.
When the editor tries to view a hidden page in tree B, he always get a 404 (and not the preview-mode).
I think this is because of the cookie mismatch between be and fe.
How can i configure the backend that the editor can preview all hidden pages?
This is basically not possible and your guess is correct. Possible solutions are:
Log in at this domain as well
Use "hide in menu" instead of "hidden". Please be aware that the page is then available for everyone

I'm in trouble to build a multilevel drodown menu in a site made with typo3.
I created the pages and organized them in their hierarchy, but the second level of the dropdown menu doesn't appear.
I searched but just find TypoScript related topics, but I'm in an specific environment that doesn't allow me to Code with TypoScript.
I wonder if there is any configuration I haven't seen.
Can anyopne help me?
If you are not allowed to use typoscript at all you are only an editor. And it's not the job of an editor to build menus. Go to your admin/integrator and give him the job to display multiple levels.
If you have the possibility to create template records, but the whole configuration is done in a site-extension (where you have no access), you still can create/ enhance the menu and give that typoscript to the developers.
There are contentelements to build menus, but for the page main-menu I never would use them.
A better solution is the usage of menu viewhelpers in the page templates/ partials/ layouts.
My preferred way: build the menu in typoscript in a fluid-variable and use it in the fluid-templates.
I don't know how your site gets it menu. From your description I assume that the menu misses either the configuration for deeper level at all. Or it missses expAll = 1 so you only see pages around your rootline.
I have a problem whose solution is certainly very simple, but it does not come to my mind at the moment :/
I have a multi-domain TYPO3 (6.1) installation and in one of the websites I need to temporarily show only one subpage, and over the rest of the pages I will work/update so I can not delete them. It is important that someone after entering a URL or going to the page from the Google search results has not opened this page, and has been redirected to this temporary.
I've tried the mount points but something does not work ...
Please help.
You can exchange the domain-records.
Make a new page on it's own (independent from the configuration of the domain it should replace). so it is a root-page. give it a domain record and disable the domain record of the pagetree it should replace.
Be aware to change the rootpageid configuration in realurl.
You also may need a special configuration for 404 handling for this domain as the most requests will be a 404 (or better 503).
And hurry up to update your system. TYPO3 6.1 is out of service for a long time.
We have a site which sometimes delivers a wrong content for a specific URL.
The page has a plugin and by default should show the records listing (or the first record listing as the listing is grouped by initial letter). After clicking a link some records are viewable in detail on the same page.
Every now and then a cache problem occurs:
Instead of the listing a detailed record is shown.
Although we use realurl, all problems occur also with the basic urls.
For overview I will only write the url-parameters, assume www.domain.tld/index.php? in front.
The page to call is id=61.
What I see is
cHash=3df3421afc42d3d5bfa1bc50603ea00d&id=61&tx_citkoegovservicelight_ansprechpartner%5Baction%5D=show&tx_citkoegovservicelight_ansprechpartner%5Bansprechpartner%5D=282.
In the HTML-source of the page I show the page calling parameters with the extension page_params. Here I see:
tx_citkoegovservicelight_ansprechpartner[action]=show&tx_citkoegovservicelight_ansprechpartner[ansprechpartner]=282&tx_citkoegovservicelight_ansprechpartner[letter]=kontakt&id=61
Two strange notes: there is no cHash parameter, there is an additional parameter tx_citkoegovservicelight_ansprechpartner[letter] which never should be used with detail view and never should have the value kontakt (only single characters were used for the listing of all records starting with that letter = no detail view)
Using these parameters does not show the detail-view but the the list view (for letter 'A').
I do not find a reason why this special URL should be called (no link) and I don't know why TYPO3 should cache a content which belongs to another URL.
And it is a problem with TYPO3 cache as all works correct if I clear the cache of this single page.
Please check my answer to another issue. The accepted answer is right in that case, but in your case it can really be caused by failed cHash calculation, because it is not related to RealURL.
Try to clear the cache and then right after that go to tx_citkoegovservicelight_ansprechpartner[action]=show&tx_citkoegovservicelight_ansprechpartner[ansprechpartner]=282&tx_citkoegovservicelight_ansprechpartner[letter]=kontakt&id=61.
And then simply open the page id=61. If you see the wrong cached result, then the reason is in a combination of following factors:
Plugin's action is cached
Cache fails are allowed in installation
cHash calculation failed
To prevent this you should enable pageNotFoundOnCHashError in Install Tool. Then the problematic link above will just trigger 404 and will not force TYPO3 to render the page.
To a question where the link is coming from. If the website is already live, it can be everything: from a crawler, which somehow builded the link itself to a user who tried to play with parameters.
I have created control panel theme following bootstrap standards. For some reason, we are using liferay 6.1 which doesn't provide responsiveness and hence has to be taken care of.
As we know control panel contains many pages e.g: MyAccount, User Administartion e.t.c.
As of now, these pages are looking fine with the old theme(non-bootstrap).
As and when I update these pages to bootstrap standards, I want to be able to apply bootstrap control panel theme for them.
Question here is - How do I apply old theme for MyAccount Page and bootstrap theme for User Administration page. Is there some property file that I need to update?
I did my research but couldn't find anything substantial.
Please let me know if I need to be more specific about the query.
Many visitors visiting our website by a link to content in a different language from their mother tongue. If they click on the language switcher, they will be redirected to the home link of the current menu. That means they have to navigate to the content again.
Is there a Plugin available that solve this problem?
The use should change the language and see the english version of the specific content.
That should not be the case, if you have set up bi/multi language in the right way.
Have you associated the articles to each others as well as the menu entrys?
You need to have exact copies of your menu.
Are you talking about "Content Pages" that have no menu entry? If so, try to create a menu which is not visible for the user, but use it to associate content.
You find the Association Tab in the Menu Entry Edit
The Falang component allows you to manage all your content translations, even the content of all your components/modules, on your web site.
Falang doesn't use the default language system of Joomla 2.5 and 3.3. You don't have to specify a language for each content article or menu item (which results in a huge amount of duplication). You don't need to create few menu copies, few articles/categories copies for different languages.
Here is described how to use it
