How to test Unity projects with Travis CI? - unity3d

I was following this specific guide: https://jonathan.porta.codes/2015/04/17/automatically-build-your-unity3d-project-in-the-cloud-using-travisci-for-free/ to test my unity project with travis CI but have been running into the same problem and don't understand how to change the 'installer' program to fix this problem:
$ ./Scripts/install.sh

Any help for this problem or guidance towards a solution would be greatly appreciated, thanks

How to setup tRPC project with pnpm

I am trying to learn from this repo.
Step 3 of the setup instructions says to run yarn dx.
The package.json for this repo defines that script as:
"dx": "run-p dx:* --print-label",
When I try to do this, I get an error message that says:
yarn dx yarn run v1.22.19 $ run-p dx:* --print-label [dx:next
] $ run-s migrate-sqlite generate-sqlite db-seed && next dev
[dx:prisma-studio] $ pnpm prisma-studio-sqlite [dx:prisma-studio]

https://yarnpkg.com/en/docs/cli/run for documentation about this
command. ERROR: "dx:prisma-studio" exited with 127. error Command
failed with exit code 1.
I'm not sure what pnpm means, or why prisma is trying to link to sqlite when the db it specifies is psql.
Can anyone point me in the direction of what's required to get this repo to start?
If you use yarn, change any occurrence in the package.json from pnpm to yarn and I think it should work :)

Issues with multiple GitHub self-runners on the same server

Are there any reasons why this is not a good idea? I ask because I constantly experience very, very inconsistent results. For example, while setting up my GH Actions over the last few days, I must have run at least 200 workflows. However, for the first time ever, I am now seeing this error:
Run ruby/setup-ruby#v1

I have absolutely no clue whatsoever why this would be presenting itself. If I re-run the same workflow, the error goes away. I'm not sure if this is because one runner is conflicting with another while trying to access the /opt/hostedtoolcache/ directory or something else.
Here's the exact same job re-run without any issues:

Concourse CI Windows Worker

I'm trying to setup a Concourse CI environment with a Windows 7 worker.
I have one machine under Ubuntu Server (16.04) hosting my TSA server and one worker (for the support of git resources), and a second one under Windows 7 hosting a worker.
Everything seems to work fine as:
I can login into the web ui
the fly -t my_concourseci workers command returns :
name containers platform tags team state version
ubuntu 1 linux none none running 1.1
windows7 0 windows none none running 1.1
the fly -t my_concourseci execute -c test.yml command returns:
executing build 146
initializing
running echo Hello World!
Hello World!
with the following content in test.yml file:
platform: windows
run:
path: echo
args: [ "Hello World!" ]
Nevertheless when I add an input to my task:
platform: windows
> inputs:
> - name: concourse
run:
path: echo
args: [ "Hello World!" ]
I get the following error:
executing build 148
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current

failed to stream in to volume
errored
If I look at the windows worker log I got this error that comes up:
{"timestamp":"1500642862.643555164",
"source":"baggageclaim",
"message":"baggageclaim.api.volume-server.stream-in.bad-stream-payload",
"log_level":1,
"data":{"error":"tar extract failed (exit status 2). output: \"\\ngzip: stdin: not in gzip format\\n/usr/bin/tar: Child returned status 1\\n/usr/bin/tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now\\n\"",
"session":"2.1.8730",
"volume":"15bf1fc6-0727-4962-6c84-18446e54ab96"}
}
Any ideas about what can cause a not in gzip format error ? Knowing that if I run the exact same task on a linux platform every works fine.

running echo Hello World!
succeeded
Thanks.
Launch powershell as Administrator, and run the concourse_worker.exe from there. That worked for me.
I am running a Windows Server 2016 Base on AWS based on this AMI ami-e1876a98
Thanks for your answers, it helps me solve my problem.
I were starting my concourse worker within a MSYS 1.0 environment. The thing is that MSYS contains tar and gunzip binaries within the $PATH. When I started concourse worker inside a Power Shell or cmd.exe without any MSYS unix-like binaries in the $PATH it worked like a charm !
Note: Be sure to have no MSYS binaries in the $PATH Windows environment variable for this to work, especially check that Git-Bash environment tools are not added to your windows $PATH environment variable.
Thanks again.

Error messages trying to build Julia language with make

This is the first time I have every used make. I am trying to install the Julia language. So I cloned from GitHub
git clone git://github.com/JuliaLang/julia.git
The instructions then say enter in the Julia directory and type make. It ran for a very long time - I ate a pizza.
When I got back, typing Julia did not work. Towards the end of the installation, I got a long error message:
/usr/bin/install -c -m 644 libpcre.pc libpcreposix.pc libpcrecpp.pc '/home/john/Downloads/julia/usr/lib/pkgconfig'

I tried sudo make - putting sudo in front seems to solve everything but not this:
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
make[2]: *** [openblas-v0.2.8/config.status] Error 2
make[1]: *** [julia-release] Error 2
make: *** [release] Error 2
What steps can I take to makes sure Julia installs properly?
I need version 2.0 so I can use iJulia with my iPython notebook. If there is an easier way without compiling directly, I would just do that.
The problem is that the makefile is trying to download a file (curl is a command line program that acts like a web browser, and is often used to download files from websites).
However, for whatever reason (maybe the internet was tired) the download failed and timed out.
The reason it fails now with the unexpected end of file error is that (a) the download gave you part of a file before it failed, and (b) the makefile you're using is badly written so it didn't clean up the partly-downloaded file on failure.
So, that file exists and thus make won't try to download it, but it's only partial so when you try to uncompress it, it fails.
You should delete the file it tried to download by hand (with something like rm -f openblas-v0.2.8.tar.gz) then re-run make. Maybe the internet has woken up, or drunk some coffee, and the download will work this time.
