Intall php5.2 on WHM 58 Cpanel EasyApache 4 - centos

I needs to install php5.2 version on my server. Right now php 5.4 is the oldest version installed. Since 2 days. I searched a lot over google but didn't find appropriate guidance yet. Tried a lot of tutorials no works at all. Any suggestion or guidance will be appreciated. thanks

I don't think there is any proper or easy way to revert to php-5.2.x from php-5.4.x; at least not using WHM interface or as an automatic process. Even if you have EasyApache3 you will not be able to downgrade from php-5.4.x to php-5.2.x
Your only option might be CloudLinux which comes with a php selector which allows you to select any php version from php-5.1.x to php-7.x.
You must know that Cloudlinux is not free and the license is around $10/month. They offer a 15 day trial so if you do all the necessary setting within that period you can just use it as much as you want. You won't be able to update it though and some of the functionality might not work as expected after the trial ends.

The PHP versions that you have mentioned are completely outdated and using them would be risky. Cpanel is never going to support it with their newer version. So your best deal would be to update your application/website to latest PHP and host with the latest PHP only

How to install PgBouncer on Windows 7 (x64)

I am attempting to install PgBouncer on my computer with no success. In the installation page, im told that PgBouncer has two dependencies GNU Make 3.81+ and libevent 2.0. Never having used or heard of these two software before, Im completely lost.
I have read a little on both but have yet to find or fully understand what they actually do and how they will help me set up PgBouncer. From what I've read, PgBouncer does not come compiled for windows and I need the other two to compile it. I have searched for tutorials online but it seems that im falling into a black hole of misunderstanding.
Im looking for a simple explanation on how to install PgBouncer or how these software work with one another. Thanks.
If anyone now searches the binaries because http://winpg.jp/~saito/pgbouncer is offline now, check out my page under https://sepppenner.github.io/PgBouncerWinBinaries/. I have all the binaries from the Saito page but didn't yet succeed to build the project on my own. If anyone has ideas, don't hesitate to contact me here or on Github :)
EDIT: I'm now able to build pgbouncer for windows just having some issues with the pandoc thing (Follow https://github.com/pgbouncer/pgbouncer/issues/442). I will provide binaries soon. The instructions are already online under the page listed above :)
Im looking for a simple explanation on how to install PgBouncer
A little late, but if you use the EDB installer for PostgreSQL, as linked on postgresql.org (https://www.postgresql.org/download/windows/), you can install Stack Builder. From inside Stack Builder, PgBouncer can be installed (EDB build).
Unfortunately, it's not the latest version. Now, PgBouncer 1.17.0 is available and Stack Builder provides 1.16.1.
Personally, I don't understand why the PgBouncer project doesn't just offer a Windows build. So everybody would be able to get the latest release.
I have not messed with pgbouncer in years but have had multiple comments on what I did to solve my problem.
In the link bellow is the pgbouncer build I last used on my project. From what I remember, all you would need to do is replace the users in the config/user.txt with yours and go into config/pgbouncer.ini and change the configuration to work with your set up. To start it, just run the run.bat file or pgbouncer.exe config/pgbouncer.iniin the cmd prompt. You want to download everything in the folder.

Redmine 'mentions' plugin stopped working

I've installed the Redmine Mentions plugin from:
https://github.com/arkhitech/redmine_mentions
And it worked perfect until a few days. I couldn't find helpful information on the internet and the author didn't reply as well so It'd be great if someone could advise on this one.
No changes took place on the server, no config modifications...and suddenly the mention 'trigger' (which is currently '#') isn't working.
I've tried to restart, reinstall and reconfig the trigger but none of these solved the issue.
Here's a little bit of info on the system:
Environment:
Redmine version 2.4.2.stable
Ruby version 1.9.3-p484 (2013-11-22) [x86_64-linux]
Rails version 3.2.16
Environment production
Database adapter Mysql2
Please advise,
Much appreciated!
Thanks,
Talbion.
OK, I've eventually managed to fix this by removing a plugin called 'a_common_libs' which was a dependency for another plugin that's been installed on the server - 'Usability plugin'. At first I uninstalled the Usability plugin (our redmine version 2.4 wasn't supported by this plugin) but that didn't solve the 'mentions' issue. Later I've decided to uninstall it's dependency as well...and it looks good.
(btw, for whoever is curious about the uninstallation process - it consisted of MOVING the plugin folder and restarting Redmine. That's it).
So...I don't know exactly how both plugins are related but somehow the removal of the common libraries fixed mentions.
Thanks again for your help.
Talbion.

Typo3 installation on PHP4

Does anybody know if it's possible to install Typo3 on PHP4? I've looked up the packages-page, but i haven't found anything yet.
Many thanks in regards!
No, it's not possible to install any recent versions. TYPO3 4.6 requires PHP 5.3+ and even TYPO3 4.4 requires PHP 5.2+. Some older versions obviously used to run on PHP 4 but all versions prior to TYPO3 4.4 are outdated, not maintained and insecure.
You do not want PHP4! ;-) a bit sarcastic, but please change your mind / your boss's mind! It's out of support since ages and basically sucks.
I'm sorry, it's not. The system requirements for the latest version state PHP5:

CFeclipse on Eclipse 3.7 hangs on 10016kb

I am trying to install CFeclipse on Eclipse 3.7. Only possible without the docshare option, but I don't think i really need that. But still, i get a problem. My install hangs when 10016kb of the file is downloaded. Then nothing happens anymore. Is CFeclipse still available or is it still maintained? Is there any other free Coldfusion editor for Eclipse available?
You could also use ColdFusion Builder 2, when the trial expires it turns into the express edition.
http://cfdocyard.blogspot.com/2011/05/coldfusion-builder-express-edition-free.html
But as mentioned above, I guess where 3.7 isn't released it's not yet supported, you could join the mailing lists to ask to the guys who will be able to respond directly.
http://cfeclipse.org/index.cfm/help/
Some users have reported problems downloading the plugin. It's a very intermittent problem and we haven't been able to track it down to a cause yet. Are you behind a firewall or using a proxy?
If you run into this problem every time, could you please post to the user group so we can try to track down the problem? Thanks!

Are there really any production issues in using memcached in Windows?

I'm currently testing Memcached in a Windows machine and we are planning to use it in production while Microsoft Velocity is still in CTP. It is running well so I believe that Memcached for Windows will do well when our site is already in production. I'm reading some blogs pertaining to this issue and some of them just mentioned that it must not yet be used in production.
If there are issues, please tell why? And please, if you have any links about this matter, just post it here. Thanks.
There is no official release of memcached on Windows. We're working on it right now, but unless you're pulling from a dev branch or you've downloaded a pre-release, you've definitely got an unsupported version with a large number of bugs and missing features from the last couple of years.
I've been using memcached in production for several years now (since early 2008). We're currently using a 12-instance cluster and it absolutely hums. I would recommend memcached any day of the week.
