How does archive.is work? - facebook

I'm able to upload facebook profile pages through archive.is. Which means facebook doesn't think that it was a proxy / bot and doesn't even ask for a captcha. It even shows some man being logged in (!!!) on the shots of pages. As your can check yourself, this profile is named Nathan, and it's the same profile for all shots.
When I'm trying to archive ip-check site, it shows my own IP saying that I'm under the Netherlands proxy.
First, how does it work?
Second, how come this user Nathan isn't banned from Facebook for the "suspicious activity" because he visits thousands of randomly looking pages a day, is automated, and detected as being under the proxy by ip-checking sites, and he isn't even asked to complete a captcha, not a single time? How do I do the same?

How to access my business’ Facebook Page Feed from my web server using Graph API?

I have a pre-existing Facebook Business Page set up on Facebook and I just registered my website (App) on the Facebook Developers Console using the same Business name as the Facebook Page name. I am an admin on both the App account and the Business Page. My app is also on the list of “subscribed apps” for the Page. Even still, Facebook doesn’t see the app and page as the same business, and I still don’t see my page in the “App Pages” section of my App Settings like it says I should.
Ultimately, my goal is to be able to establish a communication between my web server and my Facebook Page in order to READ posts on my page using the Graph API. However, when I try accessing the page node or any of its edges using my App Token (via Graph Explorer OR my web server), it’s telling me I need an App review before I can read the public data on my own Facebook page.
My guess is that this is happening because there is still no established connection between the app and the page... and if that’s the case, what more can I do to make the connection? Anyone have any experience with this?
FYI: I’ve read many other posts on this issue and most of them are outdated or don’t give any clear answers to the question. I feel this question is valid due to the privacy changes introduced by Facebook last March.
You need to have your App reviewed, older apps work till August 2018. But as now every review takes a month and there is high change that you are not approved for "Page Public Content Access". Reason for approve denial is "it doesn't appear to enhance the user experience". And after that, there is not much you can do. You can make another app and submit it to the review, with info that might pass the review process.
As for now, i do not know the correct phrases to use in review-form, but if some-one gets "Page Public Content Access"-approval, please let us know how.

Facebook will not allow me to post to a user's wall without a dialog. How can causes.com get away with it?

I have an app that allows users to share the page to specific users by clicking on check boxes next to their name and then doing a bunch of posts. I received an alert in February that said I would not be able to post to friends' walls unless there is a dialog box.
However, I noticed if you sign a petition on Causes.com, they do something very similar where they post the petition to a bunch of friends' walls.
I'm curious how they get away with that. Maybe I'm not familiar enough with the Facebook API.
I'm not sure if this helps, but Facebook does have business partnerships with certain sites/companies that have more privileges to their api keys, facebook app. This could be one of these instances.
One instance of this is, when you go to a major site and the site is able to read your facebook session, and within that site they show your name and picture once the site is rendered. In essence, these sites already know who you are.

Facebook Fans clicking through are being prompted to "like" when they already have

I'm wondering if this isn't just an issue with these individual's cookies or browser settings, but here's the issue:
I'm moderating a Facebook business page for a website that hosts contests (requiring a click-through to the site), and out of several thousand successful entries we're getting just a handful of users complaining that they clicked through to our contest entry page and the site prompted them to sign in to Facebook when they already were -or asked them to "like" the page, while displaying below an image that declares that they already have.
I'm not sure what to tell them, but I don't want to just ignore the problem. Is there anything I can do or suggest to them to make this right?

I've been told that it might be the app permissions might be set incorrectly for these profiles and that they could maybe remove the app and try again. Does that sound right?

How to authorize Facebook App for basic permissions without showing Authorization Dialog

From the documentation it seems that the user should always authorize the Facebook application even to access basic permissions.
However, sites like Rotten Tomatoes and Clicker.com auto-authorize the logged facebook user without showing the authorization dialog. If you visit one of those sites for the first time they will be able to access your public data without you authorizing it. If I go to the Apps on my facebook settings, an entry will appear showing that I gave access to those applications (but I DID NOT).
How can this be possible? Is it related to the "Instant Personalization" feature for selected partners?

Well, I was doing some research and yes, it's all about Instant Personalization.

your name and profile picture) and other information you've made

So -at the time I'm writing this- unless you're a partner of Facebook, you'll have to show the old OAuth dialog.

New app not available in list for "insights for your website"

I created a new app last week with the purpose of using Facebook insights for our website, but it is not available in the list to make the connection with. Do I need to do anything to make the app selectable?
For any of you people who think this question is not technical and shouldn't be here, I was directed here from Facebook bugs because it's not a bug.
I have had the same issue but after a bit of experimenting I found that it does not affect the ability for you to claim a domain and associate it with an app.
What the drop down list does is generate the code snippet shown below. I'm guessing this was useful when you was able to link it to a page_id (you can no longer do this). As long as you have put the correct meta tag (such as that below, replacing %%app_id%% with the app_id given by the Facebook App Center) you are free to ignore what account is shown in the drop down.

Once you have linked the account you can go back to the Facebook App Center and set permission on the account.
Tip: While you can only give other verified developers Manager access to the app you can add any friend or email address to the insights level of access which is all which they need.
Not sure if this is the case here. But I do know that there is a threshold to see insights with regard to pages.
As detailed here in the FAQ's -
Is there a minimum number of users to see Insights for Pages? Yes. For
user privacy reasons, Insights are only provided to Pages with greater
than 30 users who like that Page.
Perhaps there is a limit for domain insights too. You should allow some time and some traffic pass before the insights start being able to give feedback...
I had the same error, I tried to debug my site here FB Debugger
which is the official debugger you can input URL, Access Token, or Open Graph Action ID.
It works for me.
