don't know if this is the right place to ask for this:
I'm currently working on a in-house control system in Google Sheets. Everytime a sales rep enters a work order, this work order with info filled in the form needs to be send to the designer team via email.
The form contains a field for the designer's ID (The form is here).
I've got two problems, first the designer's emails are in a different sheet and the email must be send to the designated designer each time a response is submitted.
This is the spreadsheet I am working on this link.
The email must contain all the fields in the form.

GDPR re-permission email

looking for a little advice on HTML emails and GDPR re-permission.
With the new GDPR regulations I have to create an email to send out to an existing list requesting their consent to continue contacting them.
My intention is to have an 'I'm in' button in the email, which when clicked takes the user to another page/url which has a simple form on it requesting the users email address and checkbox for them to tick to opt in.
My question is can I achieve this another more simple way. For example in the email itself when the user clicks the 'I'm in' button, can a post submission be made automatically with their email address, that gets sent to clients email, and they then just get re-directed to a standard success message. Is something like this possible? It would save having to create a form somewhere and make the process easier for the user.
I don't normally do HTML emails so I'm a little unsure - any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
Yes, you could embed their email in the query string of the URL and then have a webapp at that URL pick up their email from the querystring and process it. Obviously you'd need to code the webapp side accordingly.

If you can still send an email to the user, the collection of consent can be quite simple. It will be sufficient to send each user an email containing a link to accept the newsletter (e.g. "Yes, I want to receive the newsletter"). The email should also contain the terms and conditions of the service, and the privacy policy. What come next can be either automated, or handled manually.
The best option would be to automate the process. This can be done in multiple way, the simplest being with a customized link for each user pointing to a website capable of interpreting the data transmitted by the link itself. To achieve this result, the link contained in each email should contain an identification code - which should be anonymized where possible - so that it will be possible to link the new consent to each user. In this way, when the user clicks the link, he or she will be taken to the website. At that point, the backend will be able to collect the code passed by the link, identify the user and, finally, re-subscribe the user to the newsletter.
In practical terms, in the email there could be a link with a value to be passed as a `GET« parameter:
Yes, I want to receive the newsletter
The server-side logic could be as follows (in PHP synthax):

$user = getUserByUUID($uuid); // assumed function that gets the user infos by a UUID
subscribeUser($user); // assumed function that re-subscribes user to the newsletter

This could even be accomplished manually, provided that a link tracker service/tool is used.
In this – less ideal – case, in the email there should only be a single clickable link, the one required to express consent (e.g. "Yes, I want to receive the newsletter"). This link could take the user wherever deemed most appropriate. What matters, in this case, is the ability, through the tracker service/tool, to know which users have clicked the link. As long as there is only one link in the email, this would inform us that the user has expressed his or her consent, and thus we could manually re-subscribe them to the newsletter. In this case, the link to the terms and conditions and to the privacy policy should be included as static text, and not as an actual clickable link.

Unique "reference" for form response?

I just created a Google form for online enquiries for my business. I set it up so that it sends an email to the person who submits the form using the "FormEmailer" script but my question is, is there a way I can give that person or more specifically that FormEmailer generated email a unique "Reference" number at the time of submission?

Absolutely, if you are willing to do some coding on your own.
You may want to look at the recently launched Form Notification add-on for Google Forms, which also sends emails to people who respond to a form. This add-on is meant to be a code sample, and you can find the source code on GitHub, and a quickstart about it in the Apps Script documentation.
To do what you are asking, you would just need to copy the code and add another "Reference number" field to the RespondentNotification template, and then modify the sendRespondentNotification() function accordingly. Alternatively, you can just insert the reference number into the email subject in that function.
Note that this add-on has some limitations: the number of emails sent out (like all of Apps Script) are subject to quota limits. In addition, the add-on isn't really meant used for forms with multiple collaborators/editors. However, Form Notifications should give you a good idea of how to write scripts that respond well to form submissions.

How to send confirmation email after submitting data using filemaker pro

I am very new to filemaker pro. Is there a way where I can get a conformation email after the user submits an entry using filemaker pro?

Yes, use the [Send Mail] script step. You can specify an SMTP server to use (which allows you to specify an account to use), or else use the locally connected user's email client (in which case the email will show as coming from the user)
Years ago we used the send mail step to send an alert to ourselves as outlined above. Over the years we moved away from this to a method we found more effective.
If your volume is consistent consider using FileMaker to report to you rather than emailing yourself. There is less to go wrong and you probably have to be in FileMaker to use the data.
Create a flag field set to "open" in the table that you check off when you've done what ever you will do with the information. Then create a calc field that shows how many open items you have.
For example we have an online store that uses FileMaker as a backend. The user screens have a field that appears as a little red ball with a number of open orders in it if there are unprocessed orders. If all the orders are processes the ball is green.

How can I trigger custom emails to be sent in wordpress?

My goal is to use a user's answers to a few questions to trigger custom emails being sent to them with filtered content on my wordpress website. It seems like this is a common need, but can't find anything that allows it, or even is the right base to build a custom solution.
There are 3 main features I'm needing to do: First, the signup form lets users choose a few criteria via selection boxes.
Next, the captured information triggers an email being sent that matches the content they chose. For example, if the user says they're interested in waterskiing, the email that is auto sent would show the most recent posts in the water-skiing category.
Finally, the user responses would need to be saved to trigger actions at a later time if the content is not available yet. So for example, if they are interested in bowling, but there are no entries on bowling, nothing happens. However, once a post gets entered in this category, they are automatically emailed with that recent entry.
Any clarity you can provide here on plugins, software, etc that would lend to this functionality is much appreciated!!

In salesforce, can you verify that an email sent by a workflow was opened by the recipient?

I am using a salesforce workflow to send out product information and invoices to clients but I am running into problems thinking of how to verify if a client receives the email and or opens it. Is there any way to prove that a client received my inventory list or invoice? Doing some prior research on this subject I have come across the following suggestions:
Adding a 1x1 invisible image to the email with a unique id
Adding a regular image instead of a 1x1, maybe company logo
Having the recipient click a link to see the invoice
With all these solutions, you have to detect image requests or link request for them and extract/produce a unique id for each client. I am not really sure how to do this in salesforce so any help would be appreciated, along with other detection ideas.
If you have Salesforce Content, there are some ways to expose documents to clients with the features you need. Basically you'll send an email with link and later you can track confirmation of opening, count how many times was it downloaded.. You can also set the expiration date to the document (can't be downloaded anymore after the date).
As for "pure" email from Apex/Visualforce and basically manually recreating the Content's functionality... nowadays most mail clients block external pictures unless explicitly allowed by the mail recipient, so I suspect you'll have poor track of emails marked as opened. Probably you could create a small Visualforce page (no header, no styles, just controller that makes update "invoice viewed" in the database). Display image from Documents on this page (make sure it's "externally available image") or even just display 1 pixel encoded in base64...
