QGIS 2.18.9 for Windows will not load plugins and GRASS - qgis

Hi I've been using QGIS for the past 6 years and I have never had this issue. I re-installed QGIS 2.18.9 because my original first problem was none of my grass algorithms would work and I received the following error message:
"It seems that GRASS GIS 7 is not correctly installed and configured in your system. Please install it before running GRASS GIS 7 algorithms."
I tried this solution Here, but no luck.
My next issue is once I re-installed QGIS none of my plugins will load. Heres what the error message log shows:
I have gone into both of the QGIS plugins and Python site-packages and everything is there even though it states that it is not.
What could be my issue?

So doing a simple un-install then re-install of QGIS would not work, since for what ever reason why the msys file wasn't being installed where the processing options said it was.
The Trick was to:
delete qgis from the registry

`Haskell` extension for `VSCode` not working on `Linux`

I installed ghcup and:
Stack 2.9.1
HLS 1.8.0
cabal 3.6.2
GHC 9.2.5
All of them are the recommended versions(I verified it using ghcup tui). Then I installed the Haskell extension in VSCode. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I get syntax highlighting (from the Haskell Syntax Highlighting extension, which seems to be automatically installed alongside the Haskell extension) but there is no Intellisense, no code completion, no error detection and no interactive mode (-->>> evaluation). I experimented with different folders and haskell files. The filetype is correct, because every time I open a .hs file, the Haskell extension checks for updates. I even installed Codium, because I suspected a fault in VSCode, but it was the same there as well.
The hsl language server doesn't seem to be working in Neovim, either. I uninstalled ghcup (ghcup nuke) and reinstalled again. The result is exactly the same. I prepended the PATH and chose vanilla and non-vanilla Stack integration in either installations.
Am I doing something wrong?
OS: Linux Mint on Ubuntu 20.04.1, kernel 5.15.0-56.
After around 10 tries, I managed to fix the problem. It turned out I had three problems:
I had only 12 GB free on my Linux partition, but it seems more are needed. I realised it, when it turned out some haskell-language-server files were missing. I enlarged my Linux partition (something I should have done months ago). The new installation installed all files
The Haskell Language Server HLS was not added to the PATH. I solved it by putting this snippet in ~/.ghcup/config.yaml:
"haskell.serverEnvironment": {
"PATH": "${HOME}/.ghcup/bin:$PATH"
}
The server was now discovered by the Haskell VS Code extension but crashed 5 times and gave up on trying. Restarting it manually didn't help. I opened the logs: View->Output->Haskell and saw the error:
haskell-language-server-wrapper: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.32' not found (required by haskell-language-server-wrapper)
It turns out, my Linux Mint distribution uses GLIBC_2.31, not 2.32. This is a very important library, which most applications on the system use. If you are a newbie, it is strongly advised that you DO NOT update it manually.
Instead, what I did, was install a version of the HLS, which used GLIBC_2.31. This problem occured in September and was "fixed" but apparently not very well. There are two options:
download the HLS deb10 version manually (didn't work for me):
ghcup install hls -u https://downloads.haskell.org/~hls/haskell-language-server-1.8.0.0/h
download using ghcup tui HLS version 1.7.0.0 (or whatever newest, which uses your glibc version) and a GHC, which supports that particular version of the HLS (in my case 9.0.2).
I think it's a good idea to preemptively reinstall the extension, in case it used the PATH to configure the HLS, so that its settings are restored to default. It takes up to 20 seconds to initialize the server, so be patient. You can see what's happening in the Output window and verify there are no more errors.

What causes Python Pytube to send me a HTTP ERROR 410 each time

I want to make a small python project and I am quite new with it. So I thought a youtube-downloader is a funny project to go by. So I looked at the documents about how to and installed everything accordingly. Now I am facing a strange 410 error. I searched on this platform the issue and some were resolved due an answer and some stayed open without closure.
The answers I found is if I(You) have the right pytube version installed. Besides that answer there was also a git repository available which I tried and it didn't work. That one is
pip install git+https://github.com/Zeecka/pytube#fix_1060
With this I still get the same error.
Anybody any clue what I do wrong? Every other example I see and want to recreate to make sure it works just doesn't for me. I feel like I misplaced a package somewhere and that's how it's poorly/unreadable.

How to recover loaded Kate Plugins

Dear stackoverflow users:
So far I was working well with kate when I installed it in ubuntu 16.04 as sudo apt-get install kate.
However, some days ago. I got the following error when launching kate:
org.kde.kwindowsystem: Could not find any platform plugin
I have tried removing, the app and reinstalling it, deleting the ./kde folder and the same remains.
Do you know how to fix it back to the original configuration?

I suggest you update your 16.04 installation to a more recent one. Many things improved, and this issue will also be resolved. I don't think this is Kate's fault here.

Magento 2 can not log into Admin after fresh install

I have successfully installed a Centos Vagrant box with Magestead (http://www.magestead.com/). This worked and I was able to log into the Admin section without any issues.
However, I am more comfortable using Ubuntu, so I created a new vagrant box using Ubuntu. I set it up as per the documentation and installed Magento without any issues. I have set up the correct file permissions etc. However, when I try and access the admin section, I receive the following error. The front pages work fine btw.

I have tried clearing the pub/static folder, cleared the various var/ directories as suggested in other posts etc.
Thinking it might be an issues with the vagrant shared folders. I started again and this time installed Magento on a folder inside the vagrant box (not on the folder share). This was a lot quicker so I hoped that this might have been the reason. Alas, this did not solve my problem and I still receive the same error.
I have tried the composer install and the manual compressed download install but I have the same error on both.
Looking at the location of the missing file, I can confirm that the file is not there. When I look at the Centos box, this file is there. If I remove the folder on the Centos box (var/www/html/magento2/var/cache/), the file gets created as expected and works fine. This does not happen with the Ubuntu box, however some of the mage---ea6 files are created so it's doing it stuff.
Does anyone have any ideas?
So I figured it out after some testing.
It turned out to be xDebug (or the way I was installing it) that was causing the issue. I ran some tests and the admin areas worked fine with xDebug not installed.
I needed Xdebug for development reasons so I installed it using Pear and Magento installed fine with everything working correctly!

Enthought Canopy Tcl/Tkinter error

I am working with a group of teachers using Canopy and we are trying to use Tkinter. About half the class is getting an error message when we run code that imports Tkinter. The error message we get is:
TclError: Can't find a usable init.tcl in the following directories:
C:/Users/tg9154/AppData/Local/Enthought/Canopy/App/appdata/canopy-1.5.4.3105.win-x86_64/lib/tcl8.5 C:/Users/tg9154/AppData/Local/Enthought/Canopy/User/lib/tcl8.5 C:/Users/tg9154/AppData/Local/Enthought/Canopy/lib/tcl8.5 C:/Users/tg9154/AppData/Local/Enthought/Canopy/User/library C:/Users/tg9154/AppData/Local/Enthought/Canopy/library C:/Users/tg9154/AppData/Local/Enthought/Canopy/tcl8.5.2/library C:/Users/tg9154/AppData/Local/Enthought/tcl8.5.2/library
This probably means that Tcl wasn't installed properly.
I have tried all of the fixes I have found online and none of them are working. I am wondering if a complete uninstall/install would work but I am hoping that there is a easier fix since I have so many teachers who would have to do the same thing.
This bug on Windows in Canopy 1.5.3/1.5.4) was fixed in Canopy 1.5.5, released July 3.
