I have tried this 3 or 4 times, but it seems like the only version is MAMP pro, every time I install the .pkg file, it installs MAMP pro, the MAMP standard and pro version seems (according to the docs) to be bundled together with the pro version. The docs say the standard version will work after the demo pro expires but all it does it lock down the entire app.
"This download package for Mac OS X contains the free MAMP and a free 14-day trial of MAMP PRO. MAMP can be used stand-alone without MAMP PRO."
^ Does this "stand-alone" even exist?
I selected customize, and I un-checked the Pro version but it does not do this. Every time I launch the app I have a demo expired error.
MAMP.app (the thing you need) is buried inside of the MAMP/ folder (unlike the pro version) so if you are good at where's waldo, then you won't have any trouble since its in a folder with dozens of other things that all render the same looking on Mac. PC users probably don't have this issue.

While migrating from a old 2015 Macbook Pro to a new 2019 Macbook Pro, how do I copy IDEs like Eclipse with all the configuration intact?
I have several applications like Eclipse, Microsoft Remote Desktop, Keychains, Terminals with profiles.
Is there a way to get everything running in new Macbook Pro exactly as it was (in the older one) without sweating much?
I asked this question. At the moment, it looks like the easiest way is to clone the old Mac drive and restore it in new Mac. I have not yet tried it.
From MAC to MAC, The best solution is to use Migration Assistant for Mac .
Have a good day
While trying to perform a clean installation of MacOS Sierra on a Macbook Pro 2012 (8Gb ram, 250 SSD Crucial Driver and i5 processor) through the boot install option (cmd + r) from the web (Internet install, an this is needed as I just installed the new SSD) the operation always gets stuck at 2 minutes before finishing.
Left it the whole night and in the morning saw the message in the image of this post.
Booted in the new AFP2 filesystem format for the drive as required in the Sierra version. Created the partition and erased the disk without any problem.
Seems the installer is fail fast but not very descriptive, any help would be appreciated otherwise that Mac will likely be a deluxe "cup holder" :(
Thanks a million
sierra boot install failure picture
Solved it myself in the end, for anybody stuck on this in the future.
And the only way I found out to do it is to install the OS that came with the Macbook Pro (2010 Mountain Lion in my case) and then update but from the installed system rather than the boot repair util.
Restart the Macbook and right after you hear the sound hold the option key until you see the spinning globe icon.
Input the WiFi credentials to access the repair util (this is the original util that came with your mac not the one updated that only bounds to install High Sierra OS)
Now install your default OS.
After this, inside the default OS, go to app store and download the High Sierra installer and install from there. Installation seemed to go fine.
Loads of effort but at least does the trick,
Hope it helps.
I would like to download and install Onenote 2010 to my aging laptop.
I run OSX 10.7.5 and cannot update it. Even if I could, I would not do so.
I'd like to try MicroSoft Onenote, but on the App Store, I cannot find a "download older version" option. When I click the download button in iOS, it asks me if I'd like to download an older version, but not here.
The only version of OneNote that is available for Mac OSX is available through the app store.
There is no version of OneNote 2010 that works on Mac.
I have been using MAMP PRO successfully for over a year. Recently, when I attempted to start MAMP PRO, it would not start. I attempted to "restore" and that did not work. Appsolute tech support suggested to uninstall and install the new version. The MAMP PRO uninstall program did not work. I get the "privileged action failed" error message. I found this solution on "stackoverflow"
Delete the appsolute directory from /Library/Application Support , which contains configuration
files that are created upon MAMP Pro installation
Delete the file hosts.mamp.bak in /etc, which is the MAMP hosts backup file
Delete the MAMP directory from /Applications/MAMP
Open the MAMP Pro Uninstaller, check all five options, and click to uninstall
I followed these instructions except I did not find "hosts.mamp.bak in the /etc folder...the folder was empty (I have since gone back to look again and I can't find the etc folder!). Anyway, I am still unable to run the MAMP PRO uninstaller. I am reluctant to try to install the newest version until this issue is resolved. Any suggestions? I am running OS X 10.8.5.
Okay...for any interested party, I ended up using the following link provided by Appsolute....mamp.info/en/downloads/older-versions The older version is 2.2. I installed it using my original registration number and re-established my database. Everything seems to be working again.
I bought a new Nexus 7, and Eclipse cannot see it. It is appearing in Device Manager as Android Device ---> Android Composite ADB Interface. There is no other devices category, and I have updated the list.
My SDK Manager has everything except for the obsolete installed and updated. I have also tried reinstalling Eclipse all together.
I have updated the driver via \adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20130514\sdk\extras\google\usb_driver and it says the best one is already installed. USB-debugging is enabled on the Nexus 7. I am all out of ideas. Please help!
Uninstall and Reinstall Nexus 7
Update:
Plan B:
OK you say it didnt work.... this is kind of a long shot but saved my bacon a lot when I was working as a technician in my past life and had to find unknown device drivers.
Right click your Nexus in device manager , select properties and go to this page
The example shows my radeon card but if you google this hardware ID( the top one in your pc), and check a couple of random sites , you are likely to find it. This method is used for finding unknown drivers, and you may as well give it a shot as you have exhausted most options.
Plan C:
Trying the same nexus on a different windows7 computer to see if it installs . If it does, then you can try to extract it from that computer ( e.g. using driverguide software) and force windows on your main pc to use that.
Plan D:
run sysprep.exe on your PC by typing it in RUN and double clicking the file and clicking Generealize. This prepares your pc for imaging and removes all drivers. Note that you'll have to activate windows again after this.
Plan E:
And lastly, the call center answer , use system restore, although the damned thing fails 90% of the time and install again after a reboot. or a whole scary reinstall of windows :(
//Ignore below now as it didn't work for you
Download this driver http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SCH-I515MSAVZW
You can also check this question for a solution for Nexus and an alternative driver. I had the same problem , although not with a Nexus, but a sony Xperia, and I had to download a generic driver to get it going. The above samsung site has the driver, but the model is called SCH-I515. You should be able to fix it without the generic driver
