Yo,
Anyone here use a VM (VirtualBox or VMware) and code on MacOS Catalina 10.15.x or Big Sur as guest ? Personally, I can't connect my iphone to xcode 11 and 12 (Iphone 5S: ios 14.4).
I tried multiple fix from the forum, as change the vmx file (skip-reset, skip-refresh, skip-setconfig" with the right pid and vid), set USB device to 2.0 (in VMware and VirtualBox), upgrade the IOS, but nothing was successful for now. However, the iphone is recognized and listed in the System information but nowhere else.
Somebody here have the same config and can use his iphone ? Had you do something in particular ?
Edit: The host is Windows 10
The only solution i found is to install "Catalina" and only Catalina, on VMware (with usb 2.0 of course). Don't use virtual box. Don't upgrade to big sur on Vmware lol. peace
I can connect HoloLens2 with Wi-Fi using Chrome by ip address:192.168.0.102, and the Windows Device Portal shows correctly. (I also installed the certificate to make a trust connection)
But when I tried to connect it in Unity, it didn't work:
I have downloaded win10 SDK:
How can I fixed it?
I can give all of the log info if you need.
Waiting for your help! Thanks a lot!
I've been developing on Samsung Smart TV for years and I've recently had to modify a project for Orsay (ie pre-Tizen) devices. Remote Web Inspector is normally available for debugging on port 7011 but after being unable to connect to the debugger, I ran an nmap scan and it seems the port is now closed.
A couple of others have reported the same issue on the Samsung Developer Forums and 1:1 QA no longer offer tech support on pre-2014 devices.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and how did they solve it?
I installed on PC/XP USB driver for Acer Tab A100 from acer.com
plugin A100 to PC
Hardware A100 regognized as ACER MTP
THEH:
"Cannot install this Hardware
There was a problem installing This hardware Acer MTP
An error occurred during the installation of the device
The required section was not found in the INF"
Please, explain where i'm wrong..
Thanks, Victor
I had some of the same problems on Win 7 x64. The solution boiled down to I went to Acer support and downloaded the USB drivers for the A500 and installed those. I can now see the device storage, the MicroSD storage on the device and connect with adb (currently debugging through the Eclipse plugin). So it looks like those drivers do the trick, I think their installer for the A100 USB drivers is just plain junk right now.
One problem remains: I was getting a .Net error with Acer Sync when I plugged in the device, but I really don't care about that, so I just uninstalled that bad boy.
Wasted the whole afternoon yesterday on the phone and chatting with Acer, don't make that mistake, when it comes to connecting up a dev environment they are clueless.
It´s the only way to connect it, installing USB drivers for the A500 requires you to have installed windows media player 11.
For some reason, I'm no longer able to connect and deploy to my wp7 device. Zune does not show the phone as being connected, despite the fact that it is connected and the phone shows that it's being charged ... and the wpconnect tool gives the following error:
Failed to connect to the device.
Ensure that the device is completely
booted and is connected to the PC.

I rebooted the phone, and I've deployed to it before, so it's definitely developer unlocked. I verified that my computer has internet access. Any other troubleshooting thoughts?
Hey, I run into this all the time. Simply restart your phone and connect again. Make sure you plug in and unplug the phone several times, waiting at least a minute if it doesn't work.
In short, it's temperamental, Keep trying.
Make sure that you have switched off WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone.
I have found that I cannot deploy when Wifi and Bluetooth are switched on - even though Zune is syncing music and other content in the usual fashion. The error messages are frustratingly unhelpful!
As a short term workaround try using the Application Deployment utility to deploy the xap file.
I had the same issue. When I changed the Project properties target OS to 7.1 it worked.
I had the same issue. Only restoring to the previous OS version helped me.
Also I would that it usually happens when internet sharing is turned on.
I think I finally found the problem!
When I had this problem a few days ago, I had been charging my phone (Lumia 900) using a faulty charger which keeps on getting disconnected. And now that I've changed the cable and charger, it started working again!
I had the same problem with my previous phone as well (HTC Mozart), and I had a bad cable back then, but never made the connection (geddit?) between the problem and the cable...
My theory is that when the phone is running on bad power supply/not getting enough power, it sets a flag in the registry, which throws that error.
Also, bizarrely I just found that if you have internet sharing turned on then it won't let you connect.
Any of above mentioned did not work for me. I had many different error messages (included the 0x80070103)
What did is this:
Go to https://dev.windowsphone.com, uregister your phone.
Launch registration tool ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows Phone\v8.0\Tools\Phone Registration\PhoneReg.exe")
Unregister in tool from 2) too (if it is showing still as
registered).
Now disconnect phone and connect it again
Register phone in tool from 2)
