Confluence Condition statement / macro display - macros

Using "Insert JIRA Issue/Filter' macro in confluence, is there way to make a conditional statement on a confluence page stating, if issues = 0 do not display macro?
No I'm not an admin (was in my previous life...where i would have simply created a custom macro).

How to get the Log In Form on every page? (for example in footer) Typo3

Is there a way to get the Log In Form for Frontend User on every page? I would prefer the footer.
And if someone is logged in you can see the Log Out Button.
Is this possible without an extension?
You can copy the default felogin output to wherever you want on your template. For example use lib.login, copy the plugin.tx_felogin_pi1 into it, change the template and you're fine.
lib.login < plugin.tx_felogin_pi1
lib.login.templateFile = path/to/your/template/file
More you can see in the official documentation: https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/extensions/felogin/8.7/Configuration/Index.html
In general there are three options to include a CE (e.g. the Login-form) on all pages:
use typoscript to generate the CE. Normally the CEs are defined in tt_content, from where you could copy the base configuration and adapt it. For some plugins you also find a complete configuration beyond lib (for newer extensions there you only find the settings). All the configuration must be done in typoscript.
use typoscript to render the content of a special page/ column. In this variant you have a special page only for content referenced somewhere else. Advantage: you could configure the CE in the usual way. Try to avoid referencing CEs by uid as an editor might disable or delete the current element(s) and insert a new one which would not be rendered.
use a special column in your root page and inherit the content to all subpages. Advantage: you could change the inherited content easily on each page (if this column is available in the current backend layout).
example for 3:
variables {
footer_content < styles.content.get
footer_content.select.where = colPos = 15
footer_content.slide = -1
}

How to generate Confluence page based on tabular data

I have some tabular data about users. I would like to have a Confluence page generated based on it. But I don't want to show the data as it is but instead have a nice table made of it.
For example data includes user identifier. But on the page I would like to have it used for few things. For example make an anchor to the user entry/row, show the identifier in a column and generate link (in another column) to some other tools where the identifier is an argument in URL.
This goes in obvious direction of data vs. presentation separation with all its benefits.
Now the problem is that I don't know how to do that while I feel that it should be somehow possible with all that Confluence offers.
There are various reporting macros. But the problem is how to get the initial tabular data. I tried using Excel (or CSV) attachment. But I failed to extract data from it (otherwise than just showing a simple table based on it).
Any advice? I'm using Confluence 5.4.
I have asked about it previously on Atlassian Answers in question Reporting on spreadsheet data from attachment but there are no answers so far and I think there will be none. While I think Stack Overflow is more popular so I hope that maybe here someone will have any advices.
For the 'display table information on the page' part: This could be achieved with a user macro. The CSV macro and HTML macro can be used to pull data in from an attachment or other locations to display on a wiki page.
There are other ways to display this kind of data. This be done with information extracted from a database using the SQL macro. Confluence can read in from its own database or from external databases.
For example, let's say you wanted to list all pages in a space with hyperlinks using the key page information to edit, view, delete the target page. The information being extracted in this example is in the Confluence table.
{sql-query:dataSource=wiki|output=wiki}
SELECT
'['||B.spacename||'|'||B.spacekey||':]' "Space Name",
'['||A.parentid ||'|///pages/viewpage.action?pageId='||A.parentid||']' "Page Parent",
'['||A.contentid||'|///pages/viewpage.action?pageId='||A.contentid||']' "Page Id",
'['||A.title ||'|///viewpage.action?pageId='||A.contentid||']' "Page Title",
'[View Page |///pages/viewpage.action?pageId='||A.contentid||']' "View Page",
'[Edit Page |///pages/editpage.action?pageId='||A.contentid||']' "Edit Page",
'[Delete Page |///pages/removepage.action?pageId='||A.contentid||']' "Delete Page"
FROM wiki.CONTENT A, SPACES B
WHERE B.SPACEKEY = 'sp' -- Put the spacekey here
AND B.SPACEID = A.SPACEID
AND A.TITLE like '%this%' -- Optionally, only return results for pages with the word 'this' in them
-- AND A.CONTENTID = 125999877 -- optionally, only return results for a single page by id
ORDER BY A.TITLE
{sql-query}
Once you have the content on the page it is possible to post-render wiki content using a JavaScript via the html macro.
{html}
<script type="text/javascript">
AJS.$(document).ready(function() {
AJS.$('#tableid').find('tr > td').contents().html('Hello world'); // or whatever to find and change the html or text
});
</script>
{html}
I presume your Confluence is version 4 or later. The default editor is WISIWYG, but you can also enable Source Editor (read Confluence doc on how to do this).
You can create source of a page in external editor and then copy/paste it in to Confluence Source Editor (or use Confluence REST API if you need to import multiple files).
Create a page with sample table, then view source of this page. Copy/paste elements of this page to your tabular data. Use search and replace patterns to insert tags in right places.
For example, if you have CSV file:
- replace commas with </th><th>
- put <tr><th> at the start of each line
- put </th><tr> at the end of each line
This should create nice table in Confluence.

Mezzanine/TinyMCE filtering script type

I'm building a website using brython and I came by a problem that has nothign to do with it.
My problem is with Mezzanine or TinyMCE editor (I'm not sure which). To make brython work I need the script tag to be "text/python". But the editor filters it automatically to "text/javascript".
I disabled the filtering already, both in the admin panel and in the actual source code, I tried adding "text/python" to the RICHTEXT_ALLOWED defaults in the mezzanine configuration too.
Just to be clear, security is not an issue, this particular feature won't go online in the final version of the website.
Although the HTML specification does allow one to put any value other than "text/javascript" in script's type attribute, few projects do that, and Brython is one of those few. It is likely the "text/javascript" value is simply hardcoded in the editor and it won't allow you to change that.
(There is probably a big chance of having an issue closed as "won't fix/not a bug" or equivalent if you try to report this to the editor's issue tracker).
I think the workaround in this case is to write some javascript to change the text on the attribute on the relevant script tags to "text/python" prior to calling Brython. i.e., instead of triggering Brython on your page with
<body onload="brython()" >
Do something along
<body onload="function (){var x = document.getElementsByName("python"); for(var i=0; i < x.length; x++){x.type="text/python"};brython()}()" >
(and of course, add the attribute name='python' to all your python script tags)

TYPO3 extension: how to find certain TS setting

I found in typo3 admin side(/typo3), you can have two ways to set up TS,
you can set up through template->root, I think TS here will affect the whole site.
you can set up through template->certain page, it will only affect this page.
So my question is:
If I want to find where(which page) has TS setting such as : code = LIST, how could I do?
Use Web > Template module it has tools, you can for an example use Template Analyzer for the search
Try querying the database in phpMyAdmin or similar. The following looks in Template Setup:
SELECT pid, config, constants
FROM sys_template
WHERE config LIKE '%code = LIST%'
Replace config with constants to look in Template Constants. pid is the page ID.
If it is not set in the TypoScript, it perhaps has been set in the plugin itself. Just check the plugin content element itself.
In the Template module, go to the page where the setting is in effect.
Use the TSOB (Typo Script Object Browser) to search for "list":
This must show you all TS for this page that contains "list".
If you don't see the setting you can run a cmd/ctrl-F Search over the entire results.
You would have to search for "[code] = LIST".
Which will lead you to the following entry:
Hovering over the label will produce the above tooltip. Copy the line number.
Now change to the Template Analyzer. Here, you can click through all cascading templates and search for the line number:
This is definitely the line that sets that value.
From the "Template hierarchy" tree you will easily find the template that contains the setting.

Alter input of form before it is submitted

I'm creating a multilingual Drupal site and trying to implement a search function, that only displays results in the current language, that the user is viewing the site through.
Using Drupals own searchfunction at /search/node it is possible to select which language to search for through the "Advanced search" options, and it works perfectly. However, I dont want to expose these language selectboxes, I just want it to only search in the current language automatically.
What's the best option to do this?
I have one solution where I create a hook_form_alter function, that sets the #default_value in the language selectboxes to the current language, and then I hide the whole "advanced options" with in css. This doesnt seem very right though.
I think the most clean solution would be to hook into Drupals form-processing process and append ex "language:en" to the input text, but I cannot get this to work.
Does anyone know if it is possible via one of the Drupal form related alter functions, to get a hold of the input text and alter it before drupal does its final processing of it?
To answer your question specifically, while using 'hook_form_alter', you have a referenced variable called '$form_state'. This stores the values in the form, and any change there will be passed further.
Also,
I think setting a default value and hiding the field is a good solution as any, only, if you are hiding it you should do it server side, while altering the form. The same field you are setting the default value to. like this:
$fieldname['#type'] = 'hidden'.
