Swipe Section Page - Swift 3 - swift

I want to make the horizontal swipeable page like YouTube. Is there an object in XCode for this? How do I have to do it? I did not find a tutorial about it. Sorry for my English.

There are tons of components already made for this in the internet, you can try looking at the cocoacontrols site.
If you still want to write your own code for this, one way is writing a custom UIView subclass. The YouTube feature looks very simple and as far as I can guess, they can use two separate UIView subclasses: one for the menu and one for the pages, just as a container.
For the menu you can use UIStackViews or a single UIViews with UIButtons for the page's titles and another view for the selection effect that moves with the UIButton's touch event. This view should provide a delegate or any notification system that fits better to you in order to notify the container that needs to load the right UIViewController's view inside the container.
The container can be a UIView that loads the view property from the UIViewController subclass on demand. Make sure to add the loaded view controller as a child of the parent view controller, otherwise you will loose some important features.

How do I change UILabels within my SKScene code?

I'm making an app where I have a tower in the background rendered with SpriteKit. The tower is made out of different blocks where I get the data from. I want to display this data in a UIView with different UILabels, etc...

The problem is that I can't figure out how to link my labels and view to my SKScene code (which is not possible I know). I'm struggling to find a way to link these UI objects to my SKScene code (Show and hide the view when a certain action happens etc...)
Is there a way to link these 2?
(I know the existence of creating UI elements with SK code, but that's not what i'm looking for.)
If you want to display both SKView and UIView on the same screen, you can use Container View Controllers.
You define "container views" in your storyboard and assign them to separate view controllers via "embedded" segue.

Design Pattern for Keyboard Pushing Up Blocked TextView

I do understand how to go about making the UIKeyboard push up the UIView if the active UITextView is blocked by the UIKeyboard as per this question: How to make a UITextField move up when keyboard is present?.
What I'm wondering is, from a design perspective, how do you go about implementing the keyboardDidShow and keyboardDidHide methods so that all of the views in your app, whether they be a UIView, UITableView, or UIScrollView all have this functionality and so you need to implement these methods only once?
The only way I could think of would be to have the view property of the UIViewController always set to a UIView, and if you have a UIViewController that needs a UIScrollView or UITableView, just attach it as a subview to this. Then if the UITextView is being blocked, just move the parent UIView up so it will move all of the views that are attached to it.
Does this sound like a good plan, or is it even worth it? Anyone else have any other ideas?
This is a little old, but it's a great article about using firstResponder methods to tell views to slide up. I, personally, like to put my UITextField in a parent container and move it all up. However, I do NOT suggest putting everything in there and moving it all up, because the UITextField "feels" better just above the keyboard. But I do like the background or certain items to move up with the UITextField.

This is a nice implementation that moves the field up based on the section of the screen it's in (upper, middle, lower). Works very well. May need to be updated for newest SDK, but should be pretty easy.
In experimenting with this, I noticed that if you want to make a BaseViewController that implements this functionality to work for everything that inherits from it, you have to attach another view on top of the UIViewController's view property in order to get it to work. Reason is, if you push the UIViewController's view property up when the keyboard appears, then it resets itself if the app comes back from being active and it's messy.
The problem with this however, is now in all of your child classes you have to attach your subviews to this new view property instead of the regular view property. Also, you probably have to make a custom UITableViewController which will inherit from your BaseViewController class so it can inherit the keyboard notification methods.
Ultimately, I've found it's not the worst idea to have another view on top of the UIViewController's property for a bunch of different scenarios. Making a custom UITableViewController isn't that big of a deal either. So if you have a lot of text fields in your app, this might not be the worst way to go.

How to realize the same effect like iPhone's homescreen

I want to add some custom buttons and realize the same effect like the iPhone's home screen. What I can think of is to calculate the position of each button and add them to the view. Are there any other ways to do this? e.g. add buttons to the tableview

I realized the same view of the thumbnails in the photo app (which in principle differs only because of the background color and the rounded effect of the buttons) using a custom cell (with 4 UIButtons inside) in a normal tableview.
In my case, this is because I need to scroll up and down, in your specific case there should be a way to "lock" the table from scrolling. By the way, for this reason, it could be simpler to design the custom view in the interface builder, it is very quick to design such a view, and then create a custom controller to provide simple methods to assign icons and actions to the UIButtons dynamically.
You could also look at the Three20 libraries as already suggested, it is already implemented, but you app will easily be rejected by Apple if you do so.

iPhone: rendering of different views possible?

I have a problem, I can't solve properly.
In short: I want to create a single view (say: UIImageView) out of multiple subviews - i.e. it consists out of multiple ImageViews and TextViews. The thing is, I want to sort of 'render' them to be a single View.
Say, I take an image, add some description below, add a title above, and maybe another little image at the bottom. I want this whole thing to be a single UIImage to make it sort of 'listen' to one (e.g.) swiping gesture, which I cant tell to bring the new image to display.
Does anyone know the best way to achieve this? So far my results were fairly poor.
Any hints are welcome!
This is definitely possible. You seem to know about views and subviews, but should also read up on the "UIResponder" class and the "responder chain". The master view that you want to contain them all won't be a UIImageView, though, because that exists to just show an image. You can make all the ones you talk about subviews (addSubview: or in Interface Builder) of a plain UIView that you subclass yourself (say, MyContainerView), which then itself handles the gestures. If you want to take advantage of free scrolling on swipe, you could instead put your container view into a UIScrollView, which has its own set of semantics that you can leverage. For this latter, you should check out Apple's sample code for scroll views (don't have a link handy but should be easy to find) which embeds multiple image views in a scroll view.

Nested UIScrollView-iPhone photos application

I have been facing the same nested UIScrollView problem for long time.I tried some open source codes like Scrolling madness ,three-20 and others but all fails finaly.I am trying to make a photo Viewer application same as iPhone.For that I have created the structure like this:-
1)one View controller.
2)on view of view controller one UIScrollView (i.e inner/parent scroll view) as a child.
3)on inner/parent scroll view number of child scroll views(i.e. outer/child scroll views) ,each represents one page of photos application.
4)On each scroll view one image View on which i am displaying my image.
So what I want is when user scrolls the outer scroll view it should scroll horizontally with all the child views so I will get the look and feel of paging in photos application.Also when user is on one specific image(i.e. child/outer scroll view) he should be able to zoom in/out,swipes and perform single/double tapping.I was able to make it work in sdk 2.1,but it dosnt work since sdk 3.0.Please tell me the idea behind your project.Means which scroll view you are subclassing ,in which view to detect touches.How this completely child - parent relation should be.
If possible provide any sample code also.
There is a WWDC session from 2010 that deals with this very issue.
Here's the short of it:
You need a single scroll view that is paginated and scrolls horizontally. Each "page" of that scroll view is another scroll view containing a photo.
First, it looks like you want to subclass UIScrollView? Every interaction method you need is provided for you in either the delegate callbacks or the touch methods. (Many of Apple's more advanced classes, such as UIScrollView, react poorly to subclassing.)
Second, it sounds like you have a first responder problem. IOW, your innermost scrollview isn't getting the first crack at the touch events.

I also struggled with this for a long time trying samples you mentioned. I could finally figure it out with the samples provided by apple (iphone dev center).

The first one is pretty basic and probably what u already have. The second one is all about zooming, etc. Just study these and the samples you already have, I think you will be able to figure it out. On specific topics just come back here search for answers or post another question.
