We're trying to submit a messenger bot app to Facebook for review. The app is configured as live:
It has some items as approved already:
And the platform on which it will operate is messenger only, however I do not see it listed here
What platform to select for Facebook Messenger app review?
None of these...
To publish a bot on the Facebook the following stuff are required to be ready:
Icon: You can upload a JPG, GIF or PNG file. The size of the image must be 1024 x 1024 pixels. File size limit 5 MB
App display name
Contact Email – In case if anyone (or Facebook) wants to contact a company
Category – the business category for which bot is getting published
Privacy policy URL
Terms of Service URL
Video - You'll be prompted to upload a screen-cast of your chat-bot working
Facebook page
Most of the above stuff can be done with common sense and below is the actual review submission.
Add messenger in Products if not already added
Add permissions required by the app
Go to the Messenger tab in the App Dashboard. Find the App Review section and select the permissions needed by the app.
Edit Notes for Each Submission
After selecting the permissions, one can edit the notes for each submission. Click on Edit Notes for each permission. Make sure to fill each form and any other missing items before clicking Submit for Review.
Facebook will need confirmation before submission:
Submit for Approval
Once you've submitted your app, you can view the App Review section to see the status of your approval.
Approval
Sometimes, the approval can be partial too:
If the app submission is approved/rejected, Facebook sends a notification. Also, the App Review section will show the green ticks to approved permissions, if the permissions are granted.
That's it.

I'm trying to resubmit my live Facebook app for review but when I add permissions/features to resubmit, it just takes me to the app review page with no content inside it except for the header which is a link to facebook for developers main page.
Here is what appear on App review after I started resubmission (I removed the app name, but the APP ID is not shown from FB side on this page, however, it's shown again on other tabs like dashboard):
Can I submit an app for a review on Facebook without using any Facebook functionality? On the App Review page the button "Submit for a review" is inactive and wants me to add some items (e.g. user_likes, publich_actions etc), but I don't have/want this. I just want to publish it. Can it be done?
By the way, the app is a game and I want it published on Facebook Gameroom.
If you are submitting your game for Gameroom, you will need to submit the App Center Details via the App Dashboard.
As for the game itself, you cannot submit it via the App Dashboard, you should submit it via the Gameroom submission form.
For your game to show up on Gameroom, please note that the following is required:
App Details reviewed and approved by us.
Game submitted for review and approved by us.
You have set the App status to live.
You have set the zip assets to be in push to production status.
You can find these details in the docs.
In my iOS app, I have used FacebookSDK and sharing features. For that I have included permission for publish_actions at login time. As per Facebook guideline you have to submit your app for review if you are using FacebookSDK.
So I have submitted my application for Facebook review along with simulator build, some descriptions, screencast (video or images) for how app is posted on Facebook. But Facebook rejects my app and I can’t identify reason.
It shows reason is cant get item 1 of {}. Any one have any idea why build is rejected and how Facebook review apps.
I faced same issue, when I have uploaded app for Facebook review it rejected two times. Here are couple of things you should look on them :
Login on Facebook for Developers
Go to App Review from left panel
From above screen shot click on first edit notes
Check respective check box as per your requirements.
Select one option from radio buttons as per your requirements.
Add step by step description of How your app use FacebookSDK here also include credentials (Facebook username and password which does not used before) for testing.
At last upload video as screencast (Your application video how it works with Facebook and you have to show how it look on your timeline on Facebook)
Click on Save.
Now from above screen shot click on second edit notes
Add test user if you want to add.
Select different build, upload build (which built with simulator) there and save.
Now hit on Submit For Review
Then also if any case you get rejected, Click on Green Have Question button. Add manager as your app name and select, then ask question to support team that what is the problem with your build and what is reason for reject. They will reply and you will find solution.
I have an issue with my facebook app, I wanted to submit it to review for new permissions and the guideline is talking about submit the App Details first to review.
Here comes the problem because the App Details page has a message:
Editing App Info is disabled because your App Details submission is pending review.
To make changes, please review your submission on the Status & Review page.
On the Status & Review page I do not have anything submitted to review and the app details fields are disabled.
App Details screenshots of disabled fields from which at least App icon is required:

Status & Review page:

If I add App Details as new item to review I get this error for missing banner, but banner image upload is disabled as you can see in the second screenshot.

I am not sure what to do next and Facebook Support page is saying that Facebook engineers are around here, so if any of you is around let me know how I can fix that for the application.
According to this: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/changelog
All new apps after April 30,2014 now require approval to use publish_actions. I have a desktop application that posts to user's facebook walls. The users used to be able to create their own apps buy simply naming it, adding their contact email, setting it to a desktop app and taking it out of sandbox mode. Now, it seems they will need to submit their apps for approval in order to post. The problem is the approval submission requires a platform selection. The FB app doesn't use any of the platforms listed. It's not a mobile app and it's not a website. The app is merely a way for desktop users to post to their wall once they log in. So what needs to be done in order to get new apps approved for this?
Here you go https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review?locale=en_GB
Desktop apps should submit a Web platform and include detailed screenshots or a screencast of the integration.
