Spring data mongo remove element in sub collection - mongodb

I have this document:
{
"_id" : ObjectId("5a698b8bc2539428e3738c7d"),
"_class" : "com.xxx.xxx.inf.dao.mongo.domain.IndexDO",
"product_id" : "5a67fde8c2539414b9712482",
"cn_name" : "index - test",
"en_name" : "test index - test",
"sample_desc" : "this is a sample description",
"people_type" : 1,
"ref_literature" : [
{
"_class" : "com.xxx.xxx.inf.dao.mongo.domain.RefLiterature",
"_id" : null,
"name" : "ref 1"
},
{
"_class" : "com.xxx.xxx.inf.dao.mongo.domain.RefLiterature",
"_id" : null,
"name" : "ref 2"
}
],
"user_id" : 6,
"gmt_create" : ISODate("2018-01-25T07:47:23.800+0000"),
"detail_desc" : null,
"gmt_modified" : ISODate("2018-01-25T07:49:50.923+0000"),
"index_level" : [
{
"_class" : "com.xxx.xxx.inf.dao.mongo.domain.IndexLevel",
"_id" : ObjectId("5a72c83050abd32e7e54340d"),
"up_val" : "3.2",
"down_val" : "5.7",
"calc_symbol_type" : 2,
"level_desc" : "this is a test level desc"
}
]
}
I want to delete the element in index_level, and in here is:
{
"_class" : "com.xxx.xxx.inf.dao.mongo.domain.IndexLevel",
"_id" : ObjectId("5a72c83050abd32e7e54340d"),
"up_val" : "3.2",
"down_val" : "5.7",
"calc_symbol_type" : 2,
"level_desc" : "this is a test level desc"
}
I can remove this sub document in mongo shell with the command:
db.index.update(
{"_id":ObjectId("5a698b8bc2539428e3738c7d")},
{$pull:{"index_level": {"_id":ObjectId("5a72c83050abd32e7e54340d")}}}
)
But when I removed use mongotemplate code in below, I was failed to do this:
mongoTemplate.updateFirst(
Query(Criteria.where("_id").`is`(ObjectId("5a698b8bc2539428e3738c7d"))),
Update().pull("index_level", Query(Criteria.where("_id").`is`(ObjectId("5a72c83050abd32e7e54340d")))),
IndexDO::class.java
)
and tried below code:
mongoTemplate.updateFirst(
Query(Criteria.where("_id").`is`(ObjectId("5a698b8bc2539428e3738c7d")).and("index_level._id").`is`(ObjectId("5a72c83050abd32e7e54340d"))),
Update().pull("index_level", Query(Criteria.where("_id").`is`(ObjectId("5a72c83050abd32e7e54340d")))),
IndexDO::class.java
)
and finally, I can remove this sub document with this code:
mongoTemplate.updateFirst(
Query(Criteria.where("index_level._id").`is`(ObjectId("5a72c83050abd32e7e54340d"))),
Update().pull("index_level", Query(Criteria.where("_id").`is`(ObjectId("5a72c83050abd32e7e54340d")))),
IndexDO::class.java)
But this code has a problem, because in here the position field is _id, when I change the position field like "calc_symbol_type", the final code will remove all calc_symbol_type equals to the value which I send to the method.
So the question is where I was wrong? and the mongo shell command converts to mongotemplate code will be what?
Thanks !

And Operator in Criteria not working as expected for nested documents inside aggregation Spring Data Mongo

I am trying to fetch total replies where read values for a replies is true. But I am getting count value as 3 but expected value is 2 (since only two read value is true) through Aggregation function available in Spring Data Mongo. Below is the code which I wrote:
Aggregation sumOfRepliesAgg = newAggregation(match(new Criteria().andOperator(Criteria.where("replies.repliedUserId").is(userProfileId),Criteria.where("replies.read").is(true))),
unwind("replies"), group("replies").count().as("repliesCount"),project("repliesCount"));
AggregationResults<Comments> totalRepliesCount = mongoOps.aggregate(sumOfRepliesAgg, "COMMENTS",Comments.class);
return totalRepliesCount.getMappedResults().size();

What is the mistake in the query that I wrote?

Insert document into mongodb from existing table

I am trying to write a query in mongo that will create a new table, loop through my data set, and insert the TopExecutiveTitle into the new table. I also would like it to keep count of each position and only insert a position into the table when it is new.
This is what I have so far. This code loops through my table and inserts the TopExectuiveTitle into a new table. However, it does not group them together and keep count. How do I write my query so that it will?
db.car.find().forEach( function (x) {
db.TopExecutiveTable.insert({Topexecutivetitle: x.Topexecutivetitle})
});
Here is a sample of a document in my database.
{
"_id" : ObjectId("5a22c8e562c2e489c5df70fa"),
"2016rank" : 1,
"Dealershipgroupname" : "AutoNation Inc.?",
"Address" : "200 S.W. 1st Ave.",
"City/State/Zip" : "Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301",
"Phone" : "(954) 769-7000",
"Companywebsite" : "www.autonation.com",
"Topexecutive" : "Mike Jackson",
"Topexecutivetitle" : "chairman & CEO",
"Totalnewretailunits" : "337,622",
"Totalusedunits" : "225,713",
"Totalfleetunits" : 3,
"Totalwholesaleunits" : "82,342",
"Total_units" : "649,415",
"Total_number_of _dealerships" : 260,
"Grouprevenuealldepartments*" : "$21,609,000,000",
"2015rank" : 1
}
The result I would like is something like this
"Topexecutivetitle" : "chairman & CEO"
"Count" : 3
"Topexecutivetitle" : "president"
"Count" : 7
}
To do this you need to use the aggregate function of mongo, something like this:
db.car.aggregate([
{
$group:{
_id:"$Topexecutivetitle",
count:{$sum:1}
}
},
{
$project:{
Topexecutivetitle:"$_id",
count:1,
_id:0
}
},
{
$out:"result"
}])
This will give you your desired output and store it into a new collection "result":
{
"_id" : "president",
"count" : 1.0
},
{
"_id" : "chairman & CEO",
"count" : 3.0
}

Mongodb put Documents array as the same level

I have this array of documents, I would like to put "table" on the same level like mastil_antenas and other variables. how Can I do that with aggregate?
I'm trying with the aggregate $project but I can't get the result.

Starting from MongoDB version 3.4 you could use $addFields to do this.
//replace products with what makes sense in your database
db.getCollection('products').aggregate(
[
{ //1 add the properties from subdocument table to documents
$addFields: {
"documents.tecmast" : "documents.0.table.tecmast",
"documents.frecmast" : "documents.0.table.frecmast",
"documents.secmast" : "documents.0.table.secmast",
"documents.untitled440" : "documents.0.table.untitled440"
}
},
{
//(optional) 2 remove the table property from the documents
$project: {"documents.table" : 0}
}
]
)
Step 1: use $addFields to grab properties from table inside documents.table and put them on documents
Step 2: (optional) remove property "table" from documents.
I hope this helps!!!

I am having only 1 element in division_mapping's array and I want to find those documents whose dc in division_mapping is trade.
I have tried following:
"division_mapping":{$elemMatch:{$eq:{"dc":"trade"}}}})
Dont know what I am doing wrong.
//Maybe I have to unwind the array but is there any other way?
According to MongoDB documentation
The $elemMatch operator matches documents that contain an array
field with at least one element that matches all the specified query
criteria.
According to above mentioned description to retrieve only documents whose dc in division_mapping is trade please try executing below mentioned query
db.collection.find({division_mapping:{$elemMatch:{dc:'trade'}}})

Mongodb + Mongoose: trying to add a sub-sub-item

Does this makes any sense when trying to add a sub-sub-item? (I'm new to mongo - be merciful :-))
question = db.questions.findOne({_id: ObjectId("529c5d44211c9a8c11000006")})
question.answers[0].votes.insert(...)
When I run this from the mongo console the result is an error saying [object object] does not have the method insert.
I have the following mongoDB Question Schema.

I'm trying, given a questionId and an answerId to add a vote to the votes array (which is inside the answer). I can't seem to do it. Help?
insert is for adding whole new documents; when you just want to add a new element to an array field of an existing document, you can use update along with an operator like $push.
So, in the shell you would use something like this:
db.questions.update(
{_id: ObjectId("529c5d44211c9a8c11000006")},
{'answers.0.votes': {$push: voteToPush}})
