Unable to run OTRS daemon, OTRS6 on Cent OS 7 - perl

I am facing issue while trying to start ORTS daemon on CentOS linux
FACILITY:
OTRS-otrs.Daemon.pl - Daemon
Kernel::System::Daemon::DaemonModules::SystemConfigurationSyncManager-07
MESSAGE:
Access denied for user 'otrs'#'localhost' (using password: YES)
When I am trying get the status using command:
./opt/otrs/bin/otrs.Daemon.pl status
getting this message:
Manage the OTRS daemon process.
Daemon running
But when I go to the web page it says that OTRS Daemon is not running.
Any help is appreciated!?

The error comes from the mysql daemon and has nothing to do with Perl. Try this on the command-line on the server running otrs:
mysql --user=otrs --host=localhost --password=XXXXXXX
That will probably fail with the same error. Once you have fixed your mysql configuration so that the command succeeds, otrs should also start.
Omit the option --password and let mysql prompt you for the password, if you are not alone on the machine.
Another reason for the failure could, of course, be that you have misconfigured otrs, and you have to change the mysql user, host, or password.

After searching for solution for two days i finally get it working.
I first change to /opt/otrs/bin/ directory.
To get the daemon working, you have to start the daemon as otrs user.
To do that just change user to otrs : you can use this command. (su otrs) from your terminal, you will be prompted for the password for otrs. Just enter the password and use the (whoami) command to check if you are otrs. If it shows that the current user is otrs issue this command (./otrs.Daemon.pl status) to see the current status of the daemon. if it shows that the daemon not running then issue this command (./otrs.Daemon.pl start).

Secure Socket Agent Proxies listener Error

I try to run the server for ssa by using ssaserver& command but I face this error on my server machine
from yesterday.
Error creating listening socket at [host name : port number] the network address may be in use.
I really don't know why it is showing this error and how can be the address in use.
My OS is RedHat7.
That is really happen because you maybe closed your terminal or logged out from current user account in RedHat.
To solve this issue you can use this command here:
ps -ef|grep ssaserver
Which will show you if the service ssaserver already in use and from this you can get the service id and child ids.
You can then kill the service id by using kill command:
kill #(serviceid)
Here is a link to show you how to use kill command: Link_1
But you can face this problem again and again so I think it will be fine if you will use nohup command to run the service you need.
Note: nohup is a command used to run a process(job) on a server and have it continue after you have logged out or otherwise lost connection to the server
Such as:
nohup ssaserver&
Here is extra link for nohup examples: Link_2

Cannot login to keycloak admin console when running in domain cluster mode

Following the documentation guide, I have booted up a master and slave and I can see it connected via the logs:
Boot up master
$ domain.sh --host-config=host-master.xml
Boot up slave
$ domain.sh --host-config=host-slave.xml
I've also followed the steps to set up the admin user via the add-user.sh. Further research indicated that I should use the add-user-keycloak.sh script to add an initial admin user:
./add-user-keycloak.sh -u john
Press ctrl-d (Unix) or ctrl-z (Windows) to exit
Password:
Added 'john' to '../standalone/configuration/keycloak-add-user.json', restart server to load user
Reran the master and slave, but cannot login to admin console.
However, what's interesting is when I tried to boot up in standalone mode I was able to the admin console as john:
./standalone.sh
Is this a bug or am I missing something (most likely) that's not in the documentation?
Thanks in advance...
Figured it out, hope this helps somebody.
Before you start in domain cluster mode:
./domain --host-config=host-master.xml
./domain --host-config=host-slave.xml
you must first create the admin so you can log in to admin console using the --sc tag, otherwise add-user-keycloak.sh only adds the admin user for the standalone mode. To do that:
./add-user-keycloak.sh --sc ../domain/servers/server-one/configuration -u john -p password
if configuration folder does not exist, then create the directory.
The ./add-user-keycloak.sh script seems to be a little outdated. Currently (as of Keycloak 12.0.2 version) it creates keycloak-add-user.json file in ./domain/configuration/ directory - That is wrong!
The file should be in ./domain/servers/server-one/configuration.
Now you just have to move the file to that directory, restart the server and it should work properly.
I found this solution on this 2-year old email thread:

Cannot Add PgAdmin New Connection on Ubuntu 15.10

After install pgAdmin III from Ubuntu Software Center, I opened it and it required to add a connection to a server. So I filled in information as below:
Upon clicking on Ok Button, it showed the error message
Error connecting to the server: could not translate host name
"http://127.0.0.1" to address: Name or service not known
As message indicated, I thought the postgres service was not started. Therefore, I went on go terminal console and start service by entering sudo service postgresql start, but it returned Failed to start postgresql.service: Unit postgresql.service failed to load: No such file or directory.
. What's wrong or missing for my pgAdmin III? I'm just using Ubuntu earlier and I have never this problem on windows. Thanks.
http://127.0.0.1 is more a URL, that field is looking for a host so simply remove the http:// to leave the localhost's IP address 127.0.0.1 or type localhost if that resolves to the correct address (it should, usually, via /etc/hosts or the like)
Also, Debian/Ubuntu tend to ship the database servers separately. For Ubuntu, the postgresql package (which requires postgresql-common) package should include /lib/systemd/system/postgresql.service therefore you should be able to sudo systemctl start postgresql
Do you have postgresql (as opposed to postgresql-client) installed?

JasperReports Server Installation fails while executing initdb.exe of postgresql

JasperReports Server 5.6.0
I am able to successfully install JasperReports Server in unattended mode, when login to a specific machine as local Administrator. But I want to do the installation from a remote machine and am passing the same parameters as earlier(invoking the setup using CPAU for run as admin), but it fails while executing initdb.exe with the data folder creation.
I am getting the following error message as stated below.
"Executing initdb.exe -U postgres -E UTF8 -D C:/JASPER~1/JASPER~1.6/POSTGR~1/data
Script exit code: unknown signal
Script output:
Script stderr: child killed: unknown signal"
After googling and looking for a possible solution, I tried the following.
1) Created the data folder via cmd and provided full control permissions using cacls
2) Created the parent folder 'JasperServer' and provided inheritance permissions of OI, CI, Full Control.
But the issue appears to be the same. Though I am able to install JR Server with the same account by rdp in to the specific machine.
Can anyone help me out?
pls try this:
http://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/bundled-installer-fails-error-running-initdbexe
Reason: You are using domain admin account.
Solution:
change to local admin user and restart install procedure, then it works:-)

netbeans 6.91 and gdb - attaching to a process run by another user

I am trying to debug a program run as another user, using Netbeans. I can do this manually at the command line, by running sudo gdm and then attaching to the pid.
However, I would like to make use of the Netbeans GUI for easier/quicker/visual debugging. When I select the pid from the list of running processes, I get the error:
GDB failed to attach to process
When I attempt to attach manually (i.e. by running gdb at the command line - without sudo), I get an 'Operation not permitted', so I know Netneans is failing to attach because of permissioning.
Does anyone know how I can attach to processes being run by another user?.
BTW I am running all this on my dev machine at home (Ubuntu), so security is not an issue.
Have you tried running netbeans as the target user?
You can do "sudo -u username netbeans"
With that, you shouldnt have a problem attaching to the process. If the target user is in another computer, I would suggest ssh with X forwarding (ssh -X user#machine).
Actually, if the target (local) user has no password set, you can try changing your gdb command to "sudo -u username gdb" to start the debugger as that user.
