non breaking space in new rte (ck_editor) - typo3

I use TYPO3 LTS, last version. My problem occurs in the new RTE ck_editor. In short: i get non breaking space characters when i put a list in a table cell. The result in the frontend looks like this:
<td> <ul><li>text</li></ul></td>
In the TYPO3 backend all is correct: no non breaking space, either in the edit window of the RTE, nor in the code view of the RTE. I checked the database table but there is also no non breaking space.
Therefore it seems to to happen during the frontend rendering in TYPO3.
Any ideas how i can fix it?
Thanks!
Peter

I think you've run into this issue: https://forge.typo3.org/issues/83795
The latest comment suggests to use this TSConfig:
lib.parseFunc_RTE.nonTypoTagStdWrap.encapsLines.innerStdWrap_all.ifBlank >
lib.parseFunc_RTE.nonTypoTagStdWrap.encapsLines.innerStdWrap_all.ifBlank =
Could you tell us if it works for you? Please, may I ask you to update that issue? (Also, if you find some drawbacks). Thank you!

Indexed search and site management's slug cause issue with custom TYPO3 extensions

TYPO3 Environment
TYPO3 v9.5.3
EXT:news (7.0.8)
EXT:indexed_search (9.5.3)
Use Composer: No
The Problem
On EXT:indexed_search result listing page, Custom extension record's slug URL are not generating. The slug only contains TYPO3 page URL.
Example; The URL should be http://thedomain.com/news/detail/announce-first-news/, but it currently only generates http://thedomain.com/news/
As per our analysis, it seems TYPO3 v9 site management's slug feature cause issue, and there could be following possible issues.
Issue #1
The major issue is, After enabling site management's slug setup, No more indexing happening for a custom extension.
Issue #2
Indexing result will lose after the page will refresh or move to another page (After clear cache data will show again).
Issue #3
If we create new records for a custom extension, then the created new records will not be indexing.
Issue #4
If anyhow, we have done the indexing and search works well, then at search result listing page, The link redirect to the main action like Listing. Because cHash is missing to each record, That's a bit strange!
Does anyone have any idea/solution? Highly appreciate your any thoughts, Thanks a lot!
Cheers,
Team NITSAN
This has been fixed with release of 9.5.5, released 4.3.2019. Check out the release notes which you can find here: https://get.typo3.org/release-notes/9.5.5
The issue for the bug is https://forge.typo3.org/issues/86994
However there has been also a regression detected which is described at https://forge.typo3.org/issues/87855 but it has already been fixed as well. The bug occurs if MYSQL strict mode is used

Can I use TYPO3's RTE in a front end plugin?

I have a custom extension, and i need to use some form of text editor in the front-end. According to the documentation, it should be possible, but the documentation and tutorials seem to be deprecated. I think this is not available in typo3 7.6 :
require_once(t3lib_extMgm::extPath('rtehtmlarea').'pi2/class.tx_rtehtmlarea_pi2.php');
Can it be done somehow or do i need to install another extension for this, maybe just a viewhelper? Thank you in advance.
I did lots of researches trying to use the rtehtmlarea in the FE, but failed. Then, I realized I could use any RTE, as they are nothing but js+css. All I need is to render the contents with RTE.FE, like how the BE does, and save the result into the database, which is all I want. I have already done this in many sites, using standalone tinymce, and it works great. So, I think maybe you could try this solution.
To be honest, that feature worked only in theory and never in reality. Use an RTE like ckeditor or whatever fits best

Tableless images in TYPO3 4.7?

I am stuck updating a site on TYPO3 4.7. Upgrading is not an option.
All the content elements that use images are formatted with tables and spacer.gifs, is there any way to make it use divs and css instead?
If css_styled_content is correctly installed, and you'Ve included the static template in your main template, this is indeed not the expected behaviour.
Did you flush all output caches? If so, check the value of the typoscript setting at tt_content.image.20.renderMethod and tt_content.textpic.20.renderMethod. They may be set to "table", and should be one of "figure", "ul" or "div".
However, TYPO3 4.7 is out of it's LTS phase. You need to update as soon as possible.
4.7 is outdated and there is no such option there, sorry

WYSIWYG Editors Ripping Table Cells and Images on Save

I have built a bespoke CMS in php and have used a wysiwyg editor to save description areas. For some reason when a table or an image is inserted they are not getting saved. On preview they seems to be fine however after the data is saved the edit seems to rip off the tables and images.
I have tried both CKEditor and Tinymce and have the same problem on both hence I am guessing this could be a database or server side error.
If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.
One thing I noticed was that I had to go into settings and specifically tell tinymce to stop taking out the <p> and <br /> in my code.
My tables were getting screwed up until I did that. While that might not be your specific problem, it might help to go through the advanced settings for your wysiwyg and check for things like that.
Check your tinymce settings valid_elements and valid_children to find out if tinymce strips out your elements.

TinyMCE writes terrible HTML!

I've currently got TinyMCE incorporated into the backend editor of a simple blogging/page-editing app, but I'm extremely unhappy with the HTML code it creates. It does all sorts of messy things like:
Adding inline style information to span tags that you can't ever find to get rid of without editing the HTML directly.
Nesting tags in nonsense ways (e.g. <p><strong><p><span>some text</span></p><strong></p> just to make something bold.)
Adding empty <p> </p> lines where they don't belong and I'm not trying to create blank lines.
EDIT: I've looked at lists of the other editors out there (including on SO), but I want to know if people firsthand have had better luck getting clean code out of their wysiwyg editors.
Any recommendations for one that outputs better code behind the scenes?
How about a rather drastic alternative, and using a WYMIWYG (What You Mean is What You Get) editor rather that another WYSIWYG editor. That way the author is in full control of the schematic markup as well as the content he/she is entering.
Unfortunately I haven't found one that is as feature rich and usable as tinyMCE, but it seems to have come a long way - see http://www.wymeditor.org/demo/
Use HTML purifier before saving the content into the database.
HTML Purifier
I found JoomlaFCK to be a very good alternative to Tiny MCE.
Hope you like it.

BTW I know it is an old thread but someone might use it. ;)
