When I do a minikube start I get:
Starting local Kubernetes v1.9.4 cluster...
Starting VM...
Getting VM IP address...
Moving files into cluster...
Setting up certs...
Connecting to cluster...
Setting up kubeconfig...
Starting cluster components...
Kubectl is now configured to use the cluster.
Loading cached images from config file.
However, if I do this again I get the same output.
Is this creating a new cluster, reprovisioning the existing cluster or just doing nothing?
minikube start resumes the old cluster that is paused/stoped.
But if you delete the minikube machine by minikube delete or manually delete from virtualbox, minikube start will create a new cluster in that case.
MINIKUBE is a lightweight kubernetes implementation that creates a VM on your
local machine.
and deploys a cluster containing only one NODE.
so basically MINIKUBE is the only NODE in the Kubernetes cluster.
Any multiple attempts to start the minikube is directed to create ONE NODE ONLY.
$ kubectl get nodes
this return minikube node

So I first start a minikube cluster (1.25.2) using minikube start. Then I bring up a kind cluster using some kind-Calico-conf.yml file:
$ kind create cluster --name=calico --config=./kind-Calico-conf.yml
When I later delete this Calico cluster (kind delete cluster --name=calico), I can see that the minikube cluster is gone too. Why is this happening?
My Rancher cluster is setup around 3 weeks. Everything works fine. But there is one problem while installing MetalLB. I found there is no kubeproxy in my cluster. Even there no kube-proxy pod in every node. I could not follow installation guide to setup config map of kube-proxy
For me, it is really strange to have a cluster without kubeproxy
My setup for rancher cluster is below:
Cluster Provider: RKE
Provision and Provision : Use existing nodes and create a cluster using RKE
Network Plugin : canal
Maybe something I misunderstand. I can discover nodeport and ClusterIP in service correctly.
Finally, I find my kibe-proxy. It is process of host not docker container.
In Racher, we should edit cluster.yml to put extra args for kube-proxy. Rather will apply in every node of cluster automatically.

I have created a following minikube cluster in linux machine . Now I wanted to connect to the node of the cluster from my local windows 10 machine. I have kubectl installed in the local machine. Kubernetes API server is a point where all your requests will go when you use the command-line tool kubectl. The kubectl allows you to run commands against Kubernetes clusters.

Is it possible to add existing instances in the GCP to a kubernetes cluster?
I can see the inputs while creating the cluster in graphically mode is :
Cluster Name,
Location,
Zone,
Cluster Version,
Machine type,
Size.
In command mode:
gcloud container clusters create cluster-name --num-nodes=4
I'm having 10 running instances.
I need to create the kubernetes cluster with the already existing running instances
On your instance run the following
kubelet --api_servers=http://<API_SERVER_IP>:8080 --v=2 --enable_server --allow-privileged
kube-proxy --master=http://<API_SERVER_IP>:8080 --v=2
This will connect your slave node to your existing cluster. Its actually surprisingly simple
Have three hosts to run Rancher cluster.
Rancher: 1.6.10
Kubernetes: 1.7.7
Install k8s from catalog on master host.
Set orchestration=true and etcd=true labels to two Rancher agent hosts.
After the k8s stack finished, only the kubelet went wrong. Unhealthy with 0 containers.
Why?

I have added some additional point to keep it in mind to debug the Kubelet.
The K8s cluster is made of Masters and Workers Node which has several components. Kubelet is one the component which needs to take care properly.
Let's begin by saying that Master node manages or orchestrate the cluster state and Workers node run the pods.However, Without Kubelet It does not work Since It will be part of each node whether it's a Master or Worker.
Performance of the cluster certainly depends on the kubelet.
We can use the following command to check its status and activity or logs.As It is deployed as system-service by systemd.
systemctl status kubelet
journalctl -xeu kubele
