im making a radio app and I have a swrevealviewcontroller with 3 views
picture:
enter image description here
this is the code of my first view, in trying to play music from a link with AVPlayer.
code:
I can start and stop the music from playing with this code but
when I open the menu and click on a menulink my music stops playing.
I cannot find a solution for this, I have already added the bacground mode in capability.
btw every view controller already has one class assigned to it.
can somoene pls help me
Your AVPlayer variable is located within the class. So when you leave that viewcontroller - that variable no longer exists. Make it global (outside of the class) and that should work just fine.
everything is working now by adding the player and the functions outside of the class, so now it's a global player with functions to start and play it

I have a problem using vuforia with unity, I have 10 videos in database and when I start the App the sound from the videos start playing immediately even if there is no cards to read from.
Check you AudioSource components are on the target object, so it gets disabled.
If this happens and you still have the problem, add custom code so that it gets muted on OnTrackingLost and unmute in OnTrackingFound.
The class you are looking for id DefaulTrackableEventHandler, you can inherit from that one and add that code instead to our target using overrides or add code there like GetComponent.
I am developing an app in which I wanna show the tutorial on how to use the app. For that need a custom video player which should look simple with a single play/pause button, a seeker and a stop button.
I have tried some video players like "videoplayerkit". To use this videoplayerkit I have to install cocoapods(libpods.a). It would be very helpful if anyone help me with a custom third party video player that satisfies my need. In short I need something like this in the picture below
You can try out an example app I created if you would like to see an example of a custom movie player, the Xcode project is at AVSync. This movie player looks exactly like the default iOS movie player, but you can have a look at the code to see how a custom set of controls can be made to control a movie player underneath. This example sits on top on a custom movie library, but the basic idea of creating your own controls and having them submit actions is the same no matter how you implement it.
I do not want any code but want to get a reference about my question mentioned below...
There is background music available and there is recording option in my app...
Once I start recording , application records my sound and when play button clicks , It will play the recording along with the background music...
I had use this Link but can not get as I want...
I think there is a mechanism like merging two audio files and make it one before playing....
How can I achieve this by coding... Is there any reference link or any sample code available?
Thnx in advance...
Most people mistake the one instance of AVAudioPlayer as the unit that plays the sound directly, but it doesnt. Mixing is done by the OS, not by the instance of AVAudioPlayer.
With other words:
No one says you can't have more then one AVAudioPlayer.
Create one for you background and let it play. Create another instance of AVAudioPlayer for you recorded sound and let it play. Voila
In my iPhone app, I'm using MPMoviePlayerController to play a movie. I'm hiding all the controls that are by default visible on the movie player. But I placed a "Replay" button over the player control.
At the end of movie, the player is being removed. But I want to stop at the last frame, so that when I click "Replay" button, it will start from beginning. I wrote the functionality for replay and its working good. When ever the movie is playing and on click of "Replay", its restarting the video from starting.
The problem I'm facing is that, at the end of movie its becoming white screen and pressing "Replay" button is not restarting the movie. How to handle this situation?
Its not necessary to create new instance. I found out the solution. Don't just release the instance of player. When replay button is clicked (either in middle of video or after completion), just pause it, move the location to beginning and play it. That's it.. no retain, no release nothing.... Its upto the programmer/developer when to release the player and remove it from the view.
I never used MPMoviePlayerController but pherhaps it's instance is released when the movie has ended. In this case incrementing the retaincounter and manually releasing it would solve the problem.
If I use MPMoviePlayerController to play video in my iPhone app, it opens, loads the movie, plays it and then closes. Is it possible to force it to stay open after the movie finishes, so that user can replay it using its controls, instead of using controls in parent view? Also, is it possible to start MPMoviePlayerController in the paused mode?
thanks for any advice.
None of that is possible using the available API in the Pre-3.2 OS. One thing you could do is take a scerenshot of the last frame and stick that behind the movie so when it's done playing, it looks like it's still there, then just stick a button on it to replay. you could make an interface that looks/behaves similar to the standard movie player interface just for the play button if you need to.
For anyone stumbling over this now... There is a way to do this. Check out this question :)
