Update document on mongo - mongodb

I read several articles and even the mongo doc, but I do not know why this update, updates the item that does not match the condition 'tests.name': 'testY'.

Instead of updating the item 'tests.name': 'testY', the item 'tests.name': 'testX' is updated.
It seems he ignores this condition.

Mongodb update and delete operations in a single query

I have documents in which I would like to update the hostUser with one of the members of the document,also have to delete the record from the member document and add the chips of the deleted member in the club chips.
Here is the sample document.

This is what I have tried.

This is how you would handle unset and set in a single call to updateMany. Can you please clarify what you meant by "check if the values exist in the member field"?

How to delete depricated string fields in options document?

Lets say I have a collections 'testCol' with document validation options in its options document.

Lets also say I want to delete these options (I am aware that I can set 'validationLevel' to 'off').
I can run db.runCommand('colMod'': testCol', validator: {}) and mongoDB will delete the field 'validator' from the options document. But I can't do the same for 'validationLevel' and 'validationAction'. db.runCommand('colMod'': testCol', validationLevel: ''), does not change anything which leaves me with something like this:

This is just unclean! Is there a way to get rid of that deprecated string-field options or a way to manipulate/access the options document of a collection directly?

You will need an aggregation for that:
db.projects.aggregate([{$unwind:"$US"},
{$unwind:"$US.tasks"},
{$match:{"US.tasks._id":ObjectId("543429a2cb38b1d83c3ff2c2")}},

Explanation:
$unwind creates a new (virtual) document for each array element
$match is the query part of your find
$project is similar as to project part in find i.e. it specifies the fields you want to get in the results
You might want to add a second $match before the $unwind if you know the document you are searching (look at performance metrics).
Edit: added a second $unwind since US is an array.
Don't know what you are doing (so realy can't tell and just sugesting) but you might want to examine if your schema (and mongodb) is ideal for your task because the document looks just like denormalized relational data probably a relational database would be better for you.

Mongodb + Mongoose: trying to add a sub-sub-item

Does this makes any sense when trying to add a sub-sub-item? (I'm new to mongo - be merciful :-))

When I run this from the mongo console the result is an error saying [object object] does not have the method insert.

insert is for adding whole new documents; when you just want to add a new element to an array field of an existing document, you can use update along with an operator like $push.
So, in the shell you would use something like this:
