Find Facebook profile URL by ID - facebook

I have an old project, which is collecting and writing to SQL database registered users Facebook IDs. Then I created dynamic link to the user profile: https://facebook.com/{user-ID}. Now this URL doesn't work. How can I build a dynamic link to registered user profile by userID?

How to use Amazon Cognito with Facebook Authentication?

I just started to learn AWS MobileHub and Cognito feature. I have a project which only required sign-in with Facebook.
In generated sample code I can see the process for user login and everything works fine. I am asking for a public_profile facebook permission and I must have access to user's email address. Now I want to store user's email address and retrieve it every time user login.
Do I need to save this data in dynamodb or cognito
I was wondering federated identity is what I need or I need to create a new user pool?
How can I get user's email address. Can I access it through AWS libraries or I must call the user's graph and ask for these information?
Can I save these data in [AWSIdentityManager defaultIdentityManager]
Is there any sample app displaying how to save information comes from facebook.
What I can see now is AWS got the userName and photo and ID from Facebook. But I can not see where these information come from and where they set up. Do I need to create a new pool and add attribute to that pool? Is there any sample app code with more detail regarding Facebook login?

Which fields are available with a Facebook app access token?

I'm looking to run some data analysis on the users of my Facebook application. I don't have their user access tokens stored on the server so I am planning on using my app access token to pull information from the graph API.
By default, calling /{user-id} returns
id
name
first_name
last_name
link
username
location
quotes
favorite_teams
gender
email
locale
languages
The documentation says that the following things are available with an app access token:
Basic Profile Info of a User (ID, Name, Username, Gender)
A User’s Friends and their IDs
Permissions granted by the User to your App
It seems that by default you get more than the basic information. Are there other things you can get with an app access token than the above?
I have noticed that some other fields can be manually added by appending them to ?fields=x in the URL.
Available fields that I've noticed so far are
cover
third_party_id
installed
permissions

Do i need the Facebook PHP SDK for Page Tab Apps?

I'm developing a Facebook Page Tab App. The files are located on my own server and i've created a Facebook App.
Now i'm trying to access the user's first name and i found different ways to get user informations, e.g. the $signedrequest (for the user ID) or the Facebook PHP SDK.
So do i need the SDK, e.g. for Graph API calls, or are there other ways to get informations from Facebook in my Page Tab App?
Using the SDK i get a lot of errors like An active access token must be used to query information about the current user., even if the user is already logged in.
If the user have not signed in to your app you will not get the user name or user id from the singend request parameter. It will give you information if the user likes the page, is admin of the page and additional app_data.
Using the php-sdk you can use the getLoginUrl() method, https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/php/facebook-getLoginUrl/, to get the access token needed to fetch user name, user id etc.

Login with Facebook integration without registering the website with facebook

I want to use "LOGIN with Facebook" function for the new website. I have created a page with a Facebook login.
When I am trying to get code from:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/login/
It is asking me to create an Application.
So my question is Can I use "Login with facebook" functionality without Facebook Application integration?
No, you can't. Even when you retrieve the code you need for the Login plugin, Facebook instructs you to substitute APP_ID for your own. You'll need an application if you want to retrieve data about that person when they login, for example
email
name
gender
location
etc...
You'll have to authenticate your users with an app_id and app_secret to retrieve an access_token. That access_token is unique per user per application. More info on authentication is here.
Basically, every time you want to query Facebook's databases, with the Graph API or FQL, you do so on behalf of the user. Facebook links these calls to applications so that they will be able to know which application has what permissions and also what they are doing with them.
Click on over to https://developers.facebook.com/apps and after you have verified your Facebook developer account you'll be able to create a new app

how can I find the owner of a facebook app ID?

A while back I created an app ID on facebook and added the appropriate meta data to a website. I now want to continue adding facebook-related features to the site, but it seems the app is not related to my account afterall.
I must have created it under a different account or something, but how can I find who the owner is based on an App ID? I have existing likes, so I don't really want to change the App ID. I don't see any way in the UI, and I do not see the app when I go to the Developer app. Is there a way to do it using the Graph API?
If you have access to the app id and the app secret but no access to the app within Facebook it is possible to discover the creator_uid and from there the email address of the app owner using the graph api.
First get an app access token:
https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/access_token?client_id={APP_ID}&client_secret={APP_SECRET}&grant_type=client_credentials
With this you can get the creator_uid:
https://graph.facebook.com/{APP_ID}?access_token={APP_ACCESS_TOKEN}&fields=creator_uid
Using the app token you will then get the email address when looking up the creator_uid in the graph api:
https://graph.facebook.com/{creator_uid}?access_token={APP_ACCESS_TOKEN}
EDIT (Jan 2013)
Looks like Facebook have removed app profile pages so that method no longer works.
Option 1
You could return the app object, which stores all the populated information about the app by requesting:
https://graph.facebook.com/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Option 2 (This method no longer works)
Or, you could visit the app's profile page and contact the developer directly using the 'contact developer' link:
http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
(you'll need to replace xxxxxxxxxxx with your app id)
I got this working. If you have both app id and app secret then you can try below steps to get the owner details.
Get the access token using id and secret of the facebook app.
https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/access_token?client_id={APP_ID}&client_secret={APP_SECRET}&grant_type=client_credentials
Using the access token you can call the below API to get a list of administrators of the app.
https://graph.facebook.com/{APP_ID}?fields=id,name,roles&access_token={ACCESS_TOKEN}
Retrieve the owner profile details by,
https://www.facebook.com/{USER_ID}
I have a similar problem, in that I have the id and the secret but no access to the app within facebook.
I haven't found a way to see who owns does have access to the app. But I have found a way to contact a dev
First get the app access token.
https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/access_token?client_id={APP_ID}&client_secret={APP_SECRET}&grant_type=client_credentials
Then get the address:
https://graph.facebook.com/{APP_ID}?access_token={APP_ACCESS_TOKEN}
