I want to populate a dropdown in my webpart from a custom page type field's values.
so for e.g I have a custom pagetype my.pagetype which has a field called myfield and has value like 1,2,3. How Do I get these 1,2,3 values ?
How do I access through SQL or macro so far I have reached till here and this code is giving me a long XML Schema string which has all fields definition and values of the custom page type.

Are you populating the drop down list in that Page Type manually? (e.g. 1, 2, 3)
If you want to reuse the same list of value in multiple places, it's better for you to create a custom table to store those value (e.g. customtable_myListX). Then for the drop down list, you can use the SQL option (SELECT Value, Display FROM customtable_myListX).

My data model looks like this. Array of objects containing title and created_date.

I have defined a column definition which only renders the title. However, I'd like to sort the rows based on the created_date, without creating a created_date column. There will be an external button detached from the table, which will call the api to get the data. I am using row model type serverSide. I have the sorted data from the backend. I just need to update the data / refresh the data. How can I achieve this ? I have so far tried setRowData(updatedRows). but its giving me an error saying cannot call setRowData unless using normal row model. Is there any way to update my rows in this serverSide row model type settings ?

Does anyone know if there is a wildcard character in AppMaker that can be used for all possible values for a field in a query?
I currently have a datasource that is being filtered based on the status using a multi-select widget. What I would like to accomplish is when all values have been de-selected I want to load all the records of that datasource without clearing the entire query in case other filters have been applied. I have it working in-a-sense that I have to explicitly construct my query as such:
widget.datasource.query.filters.Status._in = ['Status Value 1','Status Value 2','Status Value 3']
My current solution is loading the correct data when a value is selected and it correctly shows the union of the query as the values are modified. However, it selects all of the values in my multi-select; which I know is how it is supposed to work.
I tried using widget.datasource.query.filters.Status._contains = ''; and changing the assignment value to no avail. I even tried the opposite approach using _notContains
The intended outcome is to have a filtering dashboard appear much like any website where when no filtering is selected all records are displayed. I was hoping to find a wildcard character that would load all of the records. Just trying to find a way to mimic other website filters with all records when none are selected.

So the easiest solution here is to set up your Multiselect as follows:
Options binding:
#models.YourModel.fields.Status.possibleValues
or if you don't have the possible Status values in your model then set your options binding to:
['Status Value 1','Status Value 2','Status Value 3']
Values binding:
#datasource.query.filters.Status._in
Now anytime you select any choices in the multiselect, the query will only include records that include the selected choices. And if you deselect all choices the query will ignore that filter or treat it as an empty array of values, therefore returning all records unless you applied other filters.
If the ag-grid column definition has been defined with a value getter or if an expression has been defined for a cell the value gets displayed fine on the grid. However I was not able to find a way to access a value in a given cell if the cell is using cell expression/value getters. Was trying to access the data through api.forEachLeafNode, but it seems even the in memory model does not have this data. The only way I found was to export the data as CSV and then parse it using getDataAsCsv(params).
Is exporting the data the only way to access value of a column in a grid with a value getter?

valueGetter is used during the rendering stage, it only computes when needed to render the cell. if the cell is never rendered (eg row is below what is currently visible) then the valueGetter is never executed. the result is never stored in the model, it is only passed to the cellRenderer.
so what you need to do to get the result of valueGetter is use api.getValue(colKey,rowNode)
colKey is the id of your column. this can be the column itself (if you got the column from the grid column api) or the column id. the column id is what you will probably want to use. the column id is assigned to the column in the following order 1) the colDef.colId if exists 2) the colDef.field if exists 3) generated if both colId and field are missing. so if you are using a valueGetter, you are probably not providing a field, so just provide a colId.
rowNode is the row in question. this is what you get when you use api.forEachLeafNode.
the api.getValue() method is pretty recent, i know it's in version 7 - so if missing just make sure you are v7 or above.
I have a question about APEX, I have the problem that when I try to select a value from a selectbox, no value shows in the other items. What I have tried to do is loading data from the database to the items when I select a code from the selectbox with PL/SQL. How do I do this? Selecting a code from a selectbox and filling all the other items?

Ok if i understand you right you need a List of Values.
If you create this shared Object. Use a dynamic list.
There you have a dialog you can put a PL/SQL or SQL Code snippet into.
You must return a 2 column list. The first Column is the field name in you later select box and the second is you reference.
I need to build the following form field. Let's take the case where in a form I have multiple fields. Two of them are "last name" and "first name". Instead of the classic way when these field will show seperatley I want a single fields thatt shows when completed like a text field with value a concatenqtion of e two values ( ie "michael jackson"). When I click on the field an window (like a picker date) will popup haing a form with the two fields.
Unfortunately i do not know where to start from:
what class should I derive
how should I store the value in the form ( two hidden values or just a serialized value of the fields).
I might have complex structure with 5-6 fields in this picker popup.
I would extend Ext.form.field.Picker. In the createPicker() method you can crate whatever combination of fields an components that you want.
Re: storage of data, I'd serialze the values in the one field. Then you can treat reads and commits in the same way (and you can always manipulate the data later.
