I tried to install Facebook Like Button (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/) on my page but after I've put the code (HTML5 version) there is some strange redirect which change address of the page adding "_FB_f2af6423b6fd064xd_action=proxy_ready&data" to it?
Do you have any idea what may cause the problem?
I can install iframe version of like box but some time ago I received an information about similar problem while there was some toolbar installed in the web browser. String in url was different but result the same - error 404.
You can see the problem here: www.keeeper.voyagersblog.com/en/ and properly working page (without like button) here: www.bea.trvblog.com/en/ .
Thank you for help!
Best regards,
Bartek
The problem was that I have my own js EventListener called 'message' and it seems that facebook use the same name.
My event listener is fired by fb script and then my function makes redirect (params are not proper so it goes nowewhere).
When I changed listener name it's ok, it seems that it's fb bug.
Thank you anyway!
I´ve a strange Joomla 2.5.9 problem where I do not know if it´s a bug or a setting issue.
Anyway my problem is I ´ve created a menu item kind "Blog List", choosed a category and set the "access" of the articles to "registered" and "show unauthorized access links" to yes. Now the user can see the articles, but is redirected to the login if he clicks "read more".
steps can be seen here (-> http://tinyurl.com/bldbvx4)
So far so good. Unfortunately the return URL for the article is not created correctly.
I ´ve created a demo installation which illustrates my problem.
http://seminare-gratz.de/Joomla_2/index.php/problem
Login:
demo

If I click "Koala" and log-in in the next step, Joomla tries to redirect me to:
http://seminare-gratz.de/Joomla_2/index.php/%2FJoomla_2%2Findex.php%2Fproblem%3Fid%3D25%3Akoala
correct would be:
http://seminare-gratz.de/Joomla_2/index.php/problem/25-koala
To solve this issue I tried to cut the wrong part with htaccess (failed)
Any clue how to fix this?
Thankful for any help,
Tony
Okay, got it. For everyone else having this problem. I did a template override of:
components/com_content/views/category/tmpl/blog_item.php
and cutted the urlencode in line 149.
//$link->setVar('return', base64_encode(urlencode($returnURL)));
$link->setVar('return', base64_encode($returnURL));
with this hack it works ...
This is because you have given Access level to register so normal users are not allowed to read this article. So you kindly change access level registered to public.
ive seen many tutorials on setting up your facebook app
but i havent found anything that worked for me
best i found is a tutorial in youtube on link below
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxIl4fUIXS4&feature=fvwrel
im not really sure on what im doing sice i dont know much about using php
i do know how to use asp.net and iis
in the tutorial he have a facebook.php downloaded from PHP SDK and index.php
i downloaded the facebook.php
and typed the content of his index.php on my notepad and saved as index.php
both file is found on my //localhost/facebook/firstpracticeapp/
i did try that that path works i put a sample.html file inside that and accessed is on browser using below just to see if it works and it does..
//localhost/facebook/firstpracticeapp/sample.html
now that i know it works i then setup the details of my app
used http://localhost/facebook/firstpracticeapp/ as Canvas URL
used http://apps.facebook.com/firstpracticeapp as Canvas Page
btw i edited the index.php as said on tutorial changing the app secret and app id to what was given to me...
not really sure what i missed but it says on tutorial if i run use my canvas page on browser it should display what is displayed on the tutorial
only thing i get is an error saying
HTTP Error 405.0 - Method Not Allowed
The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method (HTTP verb) is being used.

...nevermind, I was using out of date info.
Recently I've been having troubles with displaying the like button on my homepage, no code was changed so I believe Facebook may be the culprit but I'm not 100% sure. Originally it was throwing "bootloader is undefined" errors in two places:
<script type="text/javascript">Bootloader.setResourceMap({"KhOUG":{"type":"js","src":"http:\/\/static.ak.fbcdn.net\/rsrc.php\/v1\/yo\/r\/wFcdvtg8yWA.js"},"uBXoU":{"type":"js","src":"http:\/\/static.ak.fbcdn.net\/rsrc.php\/v1\/yg\/r\/vnWtCAcBiXn.js"}});
And:
Bootloader.configurePage([]);
Both occur after the page querys the http:///www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php page.
But now it's throwing "bagofholding is undefined" error on:
function muffinize(d){var c='a';var b='d';var a=[c,b].join('');return d.replace(/muffin/g,a);}window.Util=window.Util||{warn:bagofholding,error:bagofholding,info:bagofholding,log:bagofholding,stack:bagofholding};if(typeof console=='undefined')console={log:bagofholding};
The Facebook Like button is implemented using the AddThis service but I checked all the lines of code and they seem fine. It doesn't seem like other sites are having this issue as well. All the errors are on Facebook's side.
It doesn't work here: http://importbible.com/2011/05/02/papercraft-skills-2012-audi-a7/
But works here: http://importbible.com/shop/shirts/group-buy/seventh-heaven-shirt/
The only thing I could think of that may cause issues is the HTML5 Boilerplate .htaccess file.
in my case my error was coming from having "share" buttons. The script for share buttons also defines "FB"... so the new "like" script and the old "share" script conflict. Once I removed the old script everything was fine. (However, "share", is better for my particular site...)
I seem to see the 'Bootloader is undefined' error when I set the href attribute of the fb like button to a non-existent page (a page that can't be accessed by the fb script file - such as the url on my dev machine / localhost).
After hunting around I found the answer, some of the meta data on my website was preventing the Like page to scrape my page. Using the Lint tool I was able to fix the errors on my page:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/lint/
I know this is a question that has been asked several times, but I'm receiving an error that I haven't found any documentation on and am not making any progress on this.
I have the Facebook Connect feature working on my blog, however, not everything is working. Upon clicking the 'Login' button a popup is displayed that allows me to enter user/pass information. After clicking 'Login' the page doesn't refresh and I receive a javascript error.
Error: this._opts.channelUrl is null
Source File: http://www.facebook.com/widgets/comments.php?api_key=XXXX&channel_url=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.gnucom.cc%2Fxd_receiver.htm&xid=http%253A%252F%252Fblog.gnucom.cc%252F2010%252Ffacebooks-connect-on-wordpress%252F&width=550&url=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.gnucom.cc%2F2010%2Ffacebooks-connect-on-wordpress%2F&title=Facebook%E2%80%99s%20Connect%20on%20Wordpress.&numposts=10&css=&simple=&reverse=&quiet=&publish_feed=1&locale=en_US
Line: 2
If I refresh the page manually, I see that I actually was logged in.
Can anyone suggest a solution or point me to another post? If this is actually a duplicate post please point me to the other post, and I'll close this one.
Thanks,
Edit: I'm adding resources that I've found so far, but am not sure if they will resolve the issue.

This error is occuring because
"a.frameName" is set to
"iframe_canvas", but "a.channelUrl" is
set to NULL. So when you call
"indexOf" on a NULL property, you get
that JavaScript error.
