No option during facebook store setup to checkout in another website - facebook

I am trying to create a Facebook store for my Facebook page with the checkout leading to my website and not Facebook. When setting up the store I am not given an option to do it. I have seen it in some tutorials showing this choosing checkout option. Is there a way to get to the checkout option?

Found this video by Mexbs that explains how to overcome the issue. In short, here are the steps:
Change the location of your Facebook page to Germany (or some other country that Facebook didn't limit yet)
Add the Shop tab and proceed with the Shop setup. "Checkout on another website" and "Message to buy" should be available now.
Add one product to your shop (so Facebook won't delete your shop tab once you change the page location back to the original).
Change the page location back to your original location.

Apparently this feature was available before FB had its own payment method. Even though you can manage your catalog and add a product url, the checkout button only goes through the FB interface. I am going to ask FB tech support if there is currently a way around this.

I haven't found this yet either and would be stoked if someone can give a clear answer. I've found that if you add products from the Catalog section, you can add a website link for each product which is described by FB as, "a link to the website page where people can view more details and buy this product."
However, my store page is all sorts of mangled at the moment and I'm (sloowwwwlllyyyy) working with FB to get it all sorted out so I can't tell if it's actually working as I'm hoping it does.

To anyone who stumbles on this thread and needs help finding the answer to this problem...
When you click the shop tab to start the setup process DO NOT choose the United States as your location. Choose your location as literally any other location, I did Canada. When you do, it wont try to force you to use Facebook's automatic checkout. It will immediately pop up with the option to buy through messages or direct them to your website. This does not change the location of your actual page either, just choose another country when it asks you right at the shop set up process.
Because of the kind of product I sell I cant accept returns. I needed the ability to send them to my store

Can't submit Facebook Request for App Review - form has unticked criteria

I'm using a plugin (xyzscripts) in wordpress to automatically make a facebook post when I add a blog item to the website.
I need to create a Facebook App to be able to authorise the plugin to be able to this (to login to my facebook admin account and select the page it's to be posted onto from within wordpress)
The instructions have been fine so far and I'm at the stage of submitting the app for review by facebook but the application form needs to be classed as 'complete' before it can be submitted and there are 2 tickboxes which are not ticked and I'm not sure how to get them to tick?! It's not a tickbox that I can select, it seems facebook validates whether the criteria is complete based on the form, so although I think it's complete facebook doesn't and I'm not sure what else to add to make those tickboxes tick... in order to be able select 'submit for review'.
There's a screenshot linked to below showing what I'm referring to, of the tickboxes which aren't ticked.
Has anyone had this problem? Can the form see whats in the video and it already thinks it's not good enough? I have included the words 'pages_manage_posts' and 'pages_read_engagement' in the text describing why the app needs these permissions as I thought that might be a validating factor but nope, still no tick.
Any help much appreciated, thanks.

You need to add the actual permissions to your submission, not just “mention” them.
Go to this section in your app dashboard, and click the “request” button next to those two permissions:

Not able to pay signup fee for chrome web store

I've been trying to pay the 5$ fee to be able to publish a chrome extension, but I'm stuck at the dialog. I've successfully added my card and I'm also able to select it in the dialog but when hitting the "buy" button the page just refreshes and the dialog appears again. When taking a look at the console I can see that there seems to be an invalid adress (see image) Error in console
I know this forum isn't made for these type of discussions but I couldn't find any way to contact the team behind it and the website itself links to stackoverflow (more specifically the google-chrome-app tag).
I think this has been for over one week.

Nobody knows what to do, nobody knows where to actually get help, nobody knows how to reach anyone that could properly fix this, not even google support employees...

Facebook app id for website social plugins

I have like/share buttons on my website and am not currently using an appid. Finding information on whether this is a necessity for the above configuration is difficult to confirm. When going through the Facebook app "create" forms, I'm really confused by a lot of the requirements as it seems to be more focused around actual apps rather than websites, which login via fb etc.
In the past I have created an app for one of my other websites and I don't believe there was any verification/submission process at this point (about 2-3 years ago). Reviewing my old app configuration now I can see that it is not "live" - does anyone know whether Facebook implemented this submission process in the last couple of years, and then de-activated any live apps that were created prior to this?
I now want to setup a new app for my new website and I'm unsure what the different 'action types' mean and what I would need to simply use like/share buttons on the website. Could someone give me a quick run down of what I'd need and what they are?
Any other info/tips people can provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm finding that the like/share DO still work without the app, but sometimes the share button doesn't work properly (I have a feeling this is something to do with the app).
Thanks
If you are just using the Social Plugins, you don't need to have a Facebook App ID.
If you want more integration, it will be required. Creating an App ID is like registering your App, wether an iOS or Android App or just a website, so that you can make Graph API calls for it.
The easiest way to register your website is to go the quickstart: https://developers.facebook.com/quickstarts/?platform=web (or https://developers.facebook.com/apps). There you can type a name and follow the steps.
You can then follow the "Sharing best practices" (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/best-practices#tags) on how to use the App ID. For example, by including an fb:app_id meta tag on your pages.
There is a review process, since last April, but that is only needed if you use permissions for your App. If you just use the plugins, that is not needed.
Can you explain more what is exactly not working?
Update
The time you create a page the Facebook crawler does not know yet what the Opengraph data for that one is. This will happen after the first share, but if you want to ensure it is correct from the first share on, you can force a re-scrape.
This section explains how that works:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/opengraph/using-objects#update
When an app triggers a scrape using an API endpoint This Graph API
endpoint is simply a call to:
POST /?id={object-instance-id or object-url}&scrape=true

I'm unable to add an app to FB to stream my Google+ posts to my FB page. What am I doing wrong?

I'd like to have my Google+ feed show up on one of my FB pages. So I logged into FB, and located the app: Google Plus Tab for Pages.
I installed the app (and the tab) and get the message Your tab is not configured correctly yet.
Underneath, there's a button, Configure.
I click configure and put in the appropriate details, my Google+ numbers, which of my FB pages I'd like to add it to, etc. .... Then select Change.
Then I get the following error, no matter what computer I use, what browser I use, etc.:
Google+ to Pages
Add Google+ to your page
Don't forget to configure your settings after adding the tab.

The key here is Don't forget to configure your settings after adding the tab -- which I've already done. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Is it possible to add a Facebook 'Like' button to my site without registering as a developer?

I want to simply add the Facebook button that shows the counter for the number of likes this site has received, but it seems that Facebook doesn't want me to.
This is the site I find when I search for it:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
But then I try to generate the code, I am referenced this FAQ link:
https://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=17580
which says that I need a credit card to verify my developer account.
So not only do I have to register as a developer, I have to give Facebook my credit card?
WTF!
I get it is for Anti-spam purposes, but really man....a credit card? Just to put a damn FB link on my page - something that they should actually pay me to do, because it increaes their SEO rank (which I know they don't need).
Google's +1 button is very easy to integrate: http://www.google.com/intl/en/webmasters/+1/button/index.html
Twitter's Tweet button: http://twitter.com/about/resources/tweetbutton
Just as easy.
Can someone let me know if I am seeing the wrong resources for FB and there is an easier way, or is FB just off their rockers?
Thanks.
I remember setting this up at my old job a while back, and I know we had a developer account.
On the site, I see
To use this plug-in, your site must have an application ID. You can get
an application ID by registering your site. Replace APP_ID in the above
script with your application ID.
Unfortunately, it looks like you'll have to set up a developer's account :\
