Electron window fit content width and height - ionic-framework

I'm developing an application with Electron and Ionic 4 and i would like to set the window size (BrowserWindow object) in order to fit content width and height of the home page, as i would do in java swing by calling JFrame pack method.
Is it possible?

I'm in a similar situation. i.e. I'd like the Electron to fit the html content. Plus if I show other content (e.g. div.hidden = false) I'd like the Electron Window to expand.
Best solution I've found so far is to send a event indicating a resize and handle that in the main process.

Is it possible to make the content of a Dialog / Window dynamic?
For example if I load a table inside a tab it is dynamic because the child table always takes the size of the tab.
I want the same behaviour with buttons etc. not that they always change size but that they move their position to stay like in the center no matter how far I resize the window without me having to write a function that calculates everything and that moves them around.
In C++ / QT I would use Layouts.
As it is right now I maximize the Window but the design is stuck on the left side.
Team Developer does not offers support this feature in native way.
however you can design your app to capturing when the formwindow size change and so your visual objects can change their position according the new container size.

How to make controls like DateTimePicker to expand even if there is no space

My problem is that i have few controlls on page in stack layout.
And when i click DateTimePicker it is trying to fit on page and since there is no space i see only small piece of controll.
I have seen that there is no such behaviour in settings application.
How to achieve this?

coming from the Java/Swing world, I am sometimes puzzled by the UI programming on the iPhone. I've spent the last hours with Googling for information but it seems that I asked the wrong questions by thinking too much in Java. Could you please point me to resources to get more familiar with the GUI concepts to be able to achive the following functionality:
Basically, I want to create a vertically scrollable view that represents structured text (for example, a recipe). Each step consists of a title and a textual description. As I want to fold and unfold such steps, the title would be somehow interactive and by clicking it the description would be displayed or hidden.
In Java, I would create a component that renders one such section. The layout manager would compute the components preferred height (with or without description being displayed).
Then, in Java, I would create a panel with a vertical layout manager and sequentially add my components. This panel would be placed in a scroll pane; the scroll pane would ask the panel to layout itself and then show a viewport on it, if for example the height is bigger than the scroll pane's height.
What Java provides me is:
layouting of elements (computing their preferred height and width), thus no need to deal with coordinates and dimensions
dynamic creation of UIs by creating and adding components during runtime
What I understood on the iPhone:
I can dynamically add views as subview to a view, e.g. a scrollview by calling addSubview
I can even remove that stuff using removeFromSubview (as explained here Clear content of UIScrollView)
What I don't understand on the iPhone:
does one view always correspond to a visible screen (I did use tab and navbar navigation so far and there whenever I set a new view, it fills the current visible screen minus the space needed for the two bars)?
or is it possible to define a view that contains a label on top ("north") and a text in center; if so, could such a view automatically determine its height?
can I realize my example in a similar way like in Java or would I need to calculate all dimensions and coordinates of the individual components on my own? (This example seems to touch on that topic: iPhone scrollView add elements dynamically with id)
Alternatively, could I use a WebView and render my stuff as local HTML using JavaScript to show or hide nodes?

There are no layout managers in Cocoa, views are being reposition according to their struts and springs settings. For information on that read the documentation: http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/IB_UserGuide/Layout/Layout.html
To create a "view that contains a label on top and a text in center" you create a view with subviews - one being a label at the top, second the textview in center. If you configure struts/springs for all of subviews properly, they will autoresize when the container view is resized.
You should also get accustomed to Interface Builder, creating views in code is real pain in the ass.

Change content of a Label depending on panel size

once again I've got a question. Since I am using Google Web Toolkit (GWT) at work (along with Java Servlets), I am currently building some user interface with GWT (in Java).
I've got some trouble though. I am using a SplitLayoutPanel which contains a ScrollPanel on the left and another one on the right.
In the left ScrollPanel there's a VerticalPanel with several Labels, which differ in their width. What I want to accomplish, is: if the Label's text doesn't fit in one line, it should display as many characters as possible and have a "..." in the end, if it's not fully displayed.
I am about to add a CustomEvent EventHandler for the Label, which can be fired whenever the Label needs to change its content. Now the problem however is, that I'd need to fire the event whenever the ScrollPanel or its inner VerticalPanel is resized (by dragging the SplitLayoutPanel-Splitter).
Now the question: is it possible to override some sort of "onResize"-Event or at least "onMouseMove"-Event inside the VerticalPanel, so that I could fire the "changeLabelSize()"-method for each Label inside of this VerticalPanel?
How would I go about it? Thank you all for your time in advance! Please ask for anything unclear, so I can clarify it.

This can be done easily with the CSS property text-overflow: ellipsis;.
Supported by IE7-, Safari and Konqueror.
And it can be emulated in Firefox.

How to set initial size of a TreeViewer?

I'm using a TreeViewer within a jface WizardPage and the initial input into the tree causes the WizardPage to grow vertically so that it can show all of the tree's values. When expanding one of the tree's values, then the vertical scrollbar works as expected. I'd like to be able to set the tree's size initially so that it is fixed and the scrollbar is already shown when the WizardPage is first drawn, but doing this isn't particularly obvious to me - the setSize method on the TreeViewer's Tree doesn't seem to do anything.
Any help would be appreciated!
Just for the records for this old question:
We solve this problem in our applications by using an own layout manager which we can set fixed sizes for certain controls (with Swing we had done that by using component.setPreferredSize(size)). If no such fixed size is used, we calculate the preferred size of the control while performing the layout. This prevents making controls getting more and more space depending on the control's content when the user resizes the application window or dialog.
