Find and Update XMPP version on ubuntu server running Openfire - xmpp

This question may sound absurd as I am totally new to XMPP & Openfire. I have a setup of Openfire 4.2.3 in Ubuntu 18.0.4 LTS that being used in my android chat app. During testing I received a Timeout error. While investigating the issue I found the solution rely on the XMPP updated version, check this link for more info.
Well I tried my best to find out my XMPP version and how to update it. Unfortunately I didn't find anything on it. So, I have two obvious questions here:
How to check XMPP version my Openfire is running on?
How to update XMPP version on my existing Openfire setup?

Since you are able to use the web-interface, just log in. On the start page look for the server properties. Theres the version.
For upgrading follow these steps:
To stop openfire on ubuntu: /etc/init.d/openfire stop;
Backup copy of the openfire installation directory: /usr/share/openfire;
Backup Openfire Base in Postgres: If you use the pgAdmin application, right-click on openfire base and click “Backup”. To run backup, it can be with own postgres as user. I recommend tar format, and encoding “SQL_ASCII”.
To install the new version: you can actually use the “dpkg -i” command, you will be asked if you want to keep your current version (choose this one), but you will still upgrade (option N or O - keep your currently -installed version).
On the java, has a statement informing that from version 4.3 will be necessary Java 8 installed.

And if you really meant the "XMPP-Version". There is not really such a thing. XMPP is implemented to a different extend on different server-providers. Some have more extensions, some less.
To see which ones you have, refer to the wikipedia site:

Raspbian update independent of Motioneyeos update?

I have installed Motioneyeos on a Pi Zero and on a Pi2, and it works like a charm in both of them. The control of the 2 systems can be unified on the web server of any one of them. The web interface is clear and allows to customize hundreds aspects of the program. Anything perfect so far.
Trying to understand a little bit how does it work, I have logged to one of the 2 Pis through ssh and I have checked that the OS is kept to a bare minimum. uname -r returns 4.19.65.
On the web interface of the app it is possible to check if the last version of the program is the one running. I have checked, and yes, I have the last version.
My question is: does it make sense to upgrade the OS components used by the program (apt update, apt dist-upgrade) even if the last version of the program is the one running in my Pis? Apt is not even installed, so the first thing would be to bring it there and install it, but I am afraid that if I update the OS, the program may stop to work...
I answer myself thanks to the feedback received in another forum. Motioneyeos is an embedded software based on Buildroot and as such it is not possible to install any package on it. To be able to install a package on Motioneyeos, Motioneyeos has to be installed on an full OS as Raspbian following the instructions in Motioneyeos web ==>>

SQL Developer on Mac

I have downloaded SQL Developer, but I can't login.
The error is:
The Network Adapter could not establish the connection.
Some pages recommend downloading Oracle Instant Client for MacOS, but I don't know how to configure it.
In order for SQL Developer to run, you should install JDK 1.8 or higher - did you do that? If not, here it is. As you've already downloaded SQL Developer, just double-click the icon and - hopefully, it'll work.

Odoo: Internal Server Error

I've installed Odoo 9.0 on Ubuntu 14.04, and I've activated the developer mode to install module from App Store. Every app I try to install that doesn't belong to the 31 apps offered by default without accessing developer mode, I get this error:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.
It looks like this happens only on the local installation. i tried to install the Barcode app in online trial, and I encoutered no problems.
If anyone may help me, I'll be eternaly grateful.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that the app on the "App store" provided in Odoo (not the ones that is possible to download in zip and add to addons), are only for the enterprise version.
I tried in a lot of computers and different installation with no luck.
Still happenning as of today. I've been able to manually install the module I wanted:
Go to the app store web site: https://apps.openerp.com/apps/modules
Search for and download your module
unzip the archive in the addons directory of your odoo installation
Go in odoo, settings, update modules list
you can then look for it in Local Modules. You may need to remove all filters. I've done this in v8.

How to install PgBouncer on Windows 7 (x64)

I am attempting to install PgBouncer on my computer with no success. In the installation page, im told that PgBouncer has two dependencies GNU Make 3.81+ and libevent 2.0. Never having used or heard of these two software before, Im completely lost.
I have read a little on both but have yet to find or fully understand what they actually do and how they will help me set up PgBouncer. From what I've read, PgBouncer does not come compiled for windows and I need the other two to compile it. I have searched for tutorials online but it seems that im falling into a black hole of misunderstanding.
Im looking for a simple explanation on how to install PgBouncer or how these software work with one another. Thanks.
If anyone now searches the binaries because http://winpg.jp/~saito/pgbouncer is offline now, check out my page under https://sepppenner.github.io/PgBouncerWinBinaries/. I have all the binaries from the Saito page but didn't yet succeed to build the project on my own. If anyone has ideas, don't hesitate to contact me here or on Github :)
EDIT: I'm now able to build pgbouncer for windows just having some issues with the pandoc thing (Follow https://github.com/pgbouncer/pgbouncer/issues/442). I will provide binaries soon. The instructions are already online under the page listed above :)
Im looking for a simple explanation on how to install PgBouncer
A little late, but if you use the EDB installer for PostgreSQL, as linked on postgresql.org (https://www.postgresql.org/download/windows/), you can install Stack Builder. From inside Stack Builder, PgBouncer can be installed (EDB build).
Unfortunately, it's not the latest version. Now, PgBouncer 1.17.0 is available and Stack Builder provides 1.16.1.
Personally, I don't understand why the PgBouncer project doesn't just offer a Windows build. So everybody would be able to get the latest release.
I have not messed with pgbouncer in years but have had multiple comments on what I did to solve my problem.
In the link bellow is the pgbouncer build I last used on my project. From what I remember, all you would need to do is replace the users in the config/user.txt with yours and go into config/pgbouncer.ini and change the configuration to work with your set up. To start it, just run the run.bat file or pgbouncer.exe config/pgbouncer.iniin the cmd prompt. You want to download everything in the folder.

Install YII2 on Centos 7

I read that it was impossible to install yii2 on a standard hosting platform (redhat, centos...) without deleting the AssetManager.
And install is lock with it. Access refused, permission denied.... Despite the rights 777 on the assets folder.
And in default way, hack code, disable control like (is_writable) to allow continued the install process to congratulation, but without css ....
But I can't modify all the code , to use it?
They're a lot of issue about assetmanager.
I tried yii1 few years ago, and it was wonderful framework... But everything is permitted under windows. Someone tried to install it under redhat, fedora, Centos.
There is a specific configuration ... Or yii2 not builted and designed for theses environments ?
Because i found tuto about laravel 5.1, Zend 2 since 2013... But nothing about Yii2, and only one... about Yii1... on this hosting OS.
Yii2 is ready for professionnel standard hosting environnement or is just for hobbist with Wamp under Windows ? (Online tuto is in majority on this OS, with Wamp...).
And maybe for that, it's work fine... like i test under windows
Thank you for the links. I had read
Finally I found the answer, which is never explained in the tutorial above (because often disabled and the module is not present in Ubuntu or Debian)
It's SELinux security. To install Yii2 there are the following commands:
semanage fcontext -a -t httpd_sys_rw_content_t 'each folder writable'
setsebool -P httpd_unified 1
Without this open rignt, you can't install Yii2
All what Yii 2.0 requires is a Web server supporting PHP 5.4 or above.
( currently not PHP 7 due to reserved word conflict that will be solved in future releases )
And yes 5 stables versions ready for production has been released, currently Yii 2.0.5
Here is a quick example about how to install Yii2 with CentOS6 which has nothing different from what is already described in the official docs.
If you know any CentOS related issue please post them and we will discuss answers, because sincerely i just did few searches and didn't found any besides few wrong apache or nginx configurations or missing packages like this CentoOS7 case. Otherwise if you need a pre-configured & working VM with Yii2 and CentOS 7, then you may check this vagrant repo.
