Why does google show github.io instead of my custom domain in the search results? - github

Hello there and thanks in advance,
I have a strange issue with Google. When I google my site with the string "egypt shattered order" (the name of the game the website is for), it finds "orsondewitt.github.io", however, if I search for my domain specifically, "egypt shattered order egypt.orcinusgames.com", it does find the correct one and there is no "orsondewitt.github.io" in the results anymore on neither of the pages.
Does anyone know what could be the issue here? Thanks!

Google Page Speed Error
My domain www.tanviralamhira.com is not indexing and also I cannot even check google page speed. problems are shown in the screenshot. Can anybody help, how can I solve it?
I have tried several time to check and index request but it failed.
Had the same issue!
The problem was in the string
script src='https://ajax.gooogleapi.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.35/jquery.min.js
Remove this string or change a link to jquery library and check wether redirect disappears. Interestingly, the link looks legit and thus doesnt warn one at all, nevertheless...
Good luck!

Venmo Deeplinking

I have been looking into how to venmo deeplinking schemes and am trying to open a user's account based on their username. I looked all over the internet for this and closest I came was this blog post. The person in the blog post is so close to achieving what I'm going for but I still can not figure it out. I tried changing up the "venmo://users" multiple times trying to open up a profile with a username but nothing has worked. How can I accomplish this?
Thank you in advance
I found a tricky way to finding out Venmo's deep link to a user's account. On this site https://app.urlgeni.us/ you can paste the URL you're trying to get the deep link for and it'll provide iOS and Android information.
Also, by reviewing how it works, it provides an API (https://app.urlgeni.us/api/internal/test_url) to which you must invoke (POST method) and it'll return the deep link, by sending a JSON input as the following:
{"url":"venmo.com//UserName"}
Response will include something like:
"android_scheme": "intent://user?user_id=XXXXXXX#Intent;package=com.venmo;scheme=venmo;end",
"ios_scheme": "venmo://users/XXXXXXX"

Grouping for website pages on google search

I have a website slateone.com, When I search slateone.com on google it gives me a search result with a group of links together as a single search. Whereas when I search for slateone it gives me the same links separately without any grouping.
I tried testing the same kind of search for popular websites like facebook and google shows same group search result for both facebook.com and facebook.
Please guide me on this issue.
Thanks in Advance!!

You are actually referring to sitelinks, they are completely automated and not editable.
Now your website first of all needs to have the title attribute in the tags defined, this will surely help the algorithm of Google to find them, but note that does not mean that this is the solution.
The exact algorithm is known only to Google, the fix i mentioned will make the links more readable for the bots, this will surely help.

When I enter www.google.com why google is redirecting with new parameters or hash?

When I enter http://www.google.com in Chrome or any other browser, it redirects to https://www.google.ie/?gws_rd=cr&ei=alyXUpSMCOjiywOU8oF4 or something similar with a different hash.
Anybody knows why this is happening ?
Google is trying to keep track of their users when you bookmark the site in favorites?
Thank you.
It is Google automatically redirecting you to your closest country. This is done using DNS. The tags are automatically added on.
If you go straight to https://www.google.ie you should not get them.

Facebook page URL: is there a repository of forbidden words?

I'm a composer/producer, and for a group of songs, I created a dedicated Facebook Page.
Now, once reached the 50 "Likes", I wanted to have an URL for each page.
But in one case it still not possible.
the tune is called "STRIPTEASE" which FB returns: it's not available.
Ok but there is not yet any page with that URL
however, I tried also
striptease.tune
striptease.song
but nothing.
To be sure it is an unique URL, I appended also the name of the band
striptease.tune.name_of_the_band
nothing ... FB tells always it's a not available address.
Thus I think there are "forbidden" words to use into addresses and probably "striptease" is one of these. Can anyone verify this please?
Thank you so much for your help
Easiest way would be trying with a different name than striptease, and if it works then yeah, there's probably a word filter somewhere.
