VS Code Jupyter Notebooks Markdown for links not working - visual-studio-code

I am trying to setup a link in vs code Jupyter notebook. No matter which way I try to do it, it does not seem to work. my last attempt was with an [id] tag, still no joy!

Be sure that you are not mixing HTML markup with pure markdown. If you try to nest a link inside a or table cell, it will not work. You must use simple markdown exclusively.

You may need to learn some basic markdown syntax:

Where can I find a copy of Erlang/OTP R14B05?

I'm trying to find the source for R14B05.
The reason is that I want to see how Precise Explanation of Typing Errors was implemented. That page provides a link to the source code, but it doens't seem to be version-controlled. So I want to diff against the code is based on in order to see what changed.
The page that links to the paper says that the code is based on R14B05, so now I'd like to try diffing against R14B05.
I look at https://github.com/erlang/otp/releases?after=OTP_R16B01_RC1 or git tag -l in the repo, I can only find R14B04, then the R15 series–no R14B05.
I see no R14B05 anywhere, only R14B01-R14B04.
http://erlang.org/download/ and http://erlang.org/documentation/ seems to have old files.
doc-5.8.5 is for Erlang/OTP R14B04, and the next one, which is doc-5.9, is for Erlang/OTP R15B. There does not appear to be a R14B05 one, so perhaps it indeed could be a typo. Perhaps they thought 5.8.5 was R14B05?
You could try contacting the authors as well, just in case.

Failed to execute 'insertBefore' exit-intent-popup beeker.io

On one of my pages I get a "Failed to execute 'insertBefore' on 'Node':". I've checked the code headers, etc and can't find why. The code I'm using is

After going through the code. I found that the code is looking for "" tag in the . If you put a blank one in there the code will work. hope this helps someone.

I tracked the code, it caused by `_updateHash` method.
The call stack created by `History.prototype.navigate` method like this
* navigate
- decodeFragment
- _updateHash
The fragment passed to `_updateHash`, was decoded by `decodeFragment`, so the hash was incorrect。
I also searched the commit history, the `decodeFragment` added in \"1.2.0\"

It's probably late. But I could somewhat do it this way (at least in firefox).
I am assuming your intention is to copy the formatting of the comment.
This is not an exact solution, but since GitHub supports HTML tags in comments, this will work just fine.
Right click somewhere at the top of the comment you want to copy.
Inspect element
In the Inspect Element box, you will find a line that's a few lines above the highlighted line which has this code:
<td class="d-block comment-body markdown-body js-comment-body">
Right click on the line having the above code
Select Copy>Inner HTML
Now you can either paste this in a comment box, preview it and you'll be able to see the same formatting, OR use an online HTML to MD converter.
You can see the raw markdown by using "Quote reply" (found after clicking three dots at top right of a comment.
Here's the beginning of the comment you asked for:

Including reference links in markdown as bullet point list on GitHub

Currently I'm using this markdown text inside the README.md file of a project on GitHub:

I don't like this duplication, but I don't see what choice I have. If I remove the explicit bullet point lists, then GitHub won't display the reference links. If I remove the reference links, then GitHub shows the bullet point list (of course), but the embedded links like "testthat" above don't work.
Is there a better way than duplicating? What am I missing?

That is, it's not a good practice to include links verbatim and without a meaningful title. I should keep the link URLs only in the reference links section at the bottom, and in the bullet point list use meaningful titles.
When you view this on GitHub, the URLs shouldn't really matter, and if you really want to know you can move the mouse over. When you view this in plain text, now the links have meaningful titles, which is useful additional information about the URLs.
I'd write that as follows:
See the docs of [testthat][1] on how to write unit tests.

The answer to your question will depend on what your Markdown parser supports. Nowadays, most parsers support CommonMark (plus some flavouring). However, don't take this for granted and double check it. If CommonMark is not supported, try using the "vanilla" Markdown syntax as described below. Just be aware that the "vanilla" Markdown specification is flawed and may result in broken links (by design, almost).
Using CommonMark
If you can guarantee that your Markdown parser supports CommonMark, then you can do it in a simple way:

In the Links section of the CommonMark specification (currently at version 0.30) you see that a "link" is composed of a link text, link destination and a title and each one has its own syntax and quirks. For example, if the link destination contains spaces, you need to wrap it in <angled brackets>, or if your link text is some kind of code, you're allowed to write
[`AwesomeClass`](<../docs/awesome class.md>]
Note:
In this section I am using the CommonMark syntax, so you can click the
"Edit" button to see the syntax that I used for a "real" example.
Using vanilla Markdown
The vanilla Markdown specification simply requires an extra set of angled brackets with nothing in between, as described in the links section.

And in this section I've only used vanilla Markdown syntax. Stack Overflow's Markdown parser supports both CommonMark and vanilla Markdown. This is not by accident, since CommonMark intends to be compatible with the original specification (wherever possible!). cfscript Code Assist in CFBuilder

I'm increasingly using cfscript, and like it where appropriately used.
One problem is that there doesn't appear to be any code assist for cfscript in CF Builder, so I find myself writing the tag of a function to leverage the code Assist, then converting to cfscript (which is silly).
For example:
addParam() is the cfscript equivalent of <cfqueryparam >. I get code assist when writing the the tag version, but not the script equivalent.
Does anyone know if there is a code assist library available for cfscript in cfBuilder? Or is this just a downside of working with cfscript?

Your example is not using native CFScript, it's using the hack-solution Adobe provided for some shortcomings of CFScript's coverage of CF tags, which are implemented as a bunch of CFCs in the custom tags dir of your install. This stuff is not representative of CFML & its CFScript support as a whole.
I find that CFB gives hinting for most native functionality... is this not the case for you? What if you try listAppend() for example? Do you get code-assist for that?
UPDATE
I wonder if you get a warning in CFB on your line equivalent to this:
o = new Query();
? I do, by default. I have to make a link to the CustomTags/com dir, and then use this syntax:
o = new com.adobe.Query();
Then I don't get a warning, and indeed I get the code assist you're expecting. I cannot get it to give me hinting on just the non-qualified path to Query.cfc though.
Not ideal. Or maybe I'm missing something, too.
