How to add an app to Launchpad with application type "SAPUI5-Fiori-App"? - sapui5

I made an app and added this one to Launchpad with application type "SAPUI5-Fiori-App using LPD_CUST". Now I was taught, that this is application type deprecated and I shall use application type "SAPUI5-Fiori-App".
I tried to do it and tried to copy the necessary entries from an app, that already has these settings, but I cannot copy those for my application because I dont know what to fill into the fields "URL" and "ID".
I suppose the field "URL" needs a SICF-service with path "/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/". But for my namespace there is no service generated wihtin that path. So I created this service manually. But I don't know if this is the correct way. I just gave it a try.
And the field "ID" has some entry like com.customersname.APPNAME. But I have no clue where I can find this information.
Furhtermore I cannot find an manual or instruction in the internet for adding an app to LPD with this application type. I can only find some information for application type "SAPUI5-Fiori-App using LPD_CUST".
I hope somebody can help me and give me a hint what to do or where I can find a manual for my case.
Many thanks in advance!

CRM 2016-Plugin Registring New Step

I am very new to MSCRM, so requesting for help. I am using Office365, i.e. MSCRM online organisation.
Here, I have written a plugin which should be fired when, in an Account entity, user uploads his image, the plugin stores the image as an attachment, in notes.
The plugin works fine, when I tested it by writing a console application.
I have registered the plugin and believe it will work fine here too. The only problem is I am unable to register the plugin new step.
The problem is in Filtering Attributes , I am unable to get entityimage attribute, even if i select/check All attributes.
Please suggest how should I proceed.
In this scenario you can write plugin on "Create" message of "Annotation" entity. And create message does not have any filtered attributes.
As you wrote and tested using Console Application, while converting it to plugin make sure that you are checking created note contains data into "FileName" and "DocumentBody" attribute. Along with you can also check whether this note is created against "Account" entity. This two conditions will narrow your scope, limited to notes created against account having some attachment. In plugin execution context you'll get above mentioned attributes.

In CQ5, my responsive emulator devices list is empty

To start, I followed these directions exactly as it's stated: http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/5-6/developing/mobile/responsive.html
The problem is, despite all of that, my Devices dropdown on the sidekick in preview mode is empty.
The list works without issue in the Geometrixx Media without issue.
I made sure I set the cq:deviceGroups and the sling:OsgiConfig as required, and also included the simulator.js in the head tags.
Edit: I have found that if I set the resourceType on the root level page to geometrixx-media/components/page, which is their working demo, it works. I have completely removed all jsp and config items from that component page and it still continues to work anyways.
Does anyone know of something that is missing from the documents, and how to fix the issue?
Thanks.
This is what I did to resolve this issue:
I am going to assume your application name is jason-riis
In CRXDE|Lite create a config folder in /apps/jason-riis/
Now create a node of:
TYPE=sling:OsgiConfig
NAME=com.day.cq.wcm.mobile.core.impl.MobileEmulatorProvider-<*alias>
*alias could be anything, I gave my application name. What it does is it will get you a unique PID when you look at it in configuration Manager
If you go to your configuration manager now, you should be able to see two MobileEmulatorProvider config settings.
Add a node property to node you just created:
NAME=mobile.resourceTypes
TYPE=String[] (you have to click multi at the end of the value textbox)
VALUE=jason-riis/components/<*page>
*page is all the components that has sling:resourceSuperType of foundation/components/page and it is a multi array so it should look like this
jason-riis/components/page, jason-riis/components/widepage, jason-riis/components/newspage
I assume you already have the cq:include for simulation in your header. This makes the devices button appear in preview mode.
Last thing is, go to your website root page's jcr:content [/content/jason-riis/jcr:content] and add node property
NAME=cq:deviceGroups
TYPE=String[]
*VALUE=/etc/mobile/groups/touch, /etc/mobile/groups/smart
*If you go to this etc path in CRXDE|Lite; you will see more relevant information in jcr:content node. This will help you in creating your own custom emulator list.
You should be able to see the dropdown now, with options of iPhone and iPad and all. I know AEM docs are frustrating, let me know if there is any confusion.

unable to find DLFileEntryLocalServiceUtil.getFileEntryByTitle() in liferay 6.1

Is there any direct api to fetch a file entry by title with given folder id.
I have tried DynamicQueryFactoryUtil, apart from this is there anything to fetch DLFileEntries by title.
I believe DLFileEntryLocalServiceUtil.getFileEntryByTitle() is not there anymore in Liferay 6.1
In Liferay 6.1.0, I can see there is
com.liferay.portlet.documentlibrary.service.DLFileEntryLocalServiceUtil.getFileEntryByName(groupId, folderId, name), as I get from lib/ext/portal-service.jar
You can also see the official documentation here
I think you start by making sure you have the correct libraries imported
EDIT:
I guess that the parent folder and groupID are needed as more than 2 DLFileEntries can have the same title/name. If you need exactly 1 result, and giving only 1 attribute, you can use getDLFileEntry(long fileEntryId). If this doesn't help either, you should tell us some more on what you want to do , and what information you have available (except the title of course)
Liferay has a strange compatibility policy.
Seems like they renamed the getFileEntry to getFileEntryByName and getFileEntryByTitle to getFileEntry. The old and new getFileEntry both share the same singature, but the parameter name is different. :-(

Similar path in Jersey with empty parameters

I'm having an issue with Jersey, I have two path, let's say
user/comments/{username}
and
user/{username}
The first gives you the comments from an user, the second one shows you the profile of the user.
If someone use an empty parameter in the first url as user/comments/ obviously the second method is called and you get the profile of the user "comments".
There's a way where you can "reserve" to jersey some parameter or it's more a design problem and I should refactor the paths?
I'd use the following paths, which correctly represent the user -> comment hierarchy and also avoid the name collision issue:
user/{username}/comments
and
user/{username}
You can check in the second method if the user is "comments" and call the first one instead of the behavior. I never heard of jersey with an defined procedure to check this.
Of course, everything will work till the user that registered with the appropriate "comments" login sends you a mail complaining about your site not working; so yes, I think the best option would be to refactor it...

The remote name could not be resolved: 'graph.facebook.com'

I'm using the FaceBook C# SDK for the first time.
Since I have a simple application I want to create I have picked up the sample Azure MVC application and modified it to point at my facebook application instance and secret as per the configuraiton guidance.
I want to retrieve a months status messages so I need authorisation which has worked thanks to CanvasAuthorize(Perms = "user_about_me") attribute.
However now when I goto the about view I get an error in the controller first:
dynamic result = fbApp.Get("me");
The actual error is listed as:
The remote name could not be resolved: 'graph.facebook.com'
Can anyone help me identify what I am doing wrong?
Many thanks,
_David
That sounds like a temporary connectivity issue. The server (or your computer) is having trouble resolving http://graph.facebook.com. Try to going to http://graph.facebook.com/microsoft in your browser and see what happens.
Make sure that you have the correct fb_key and fb_secret values. In my case I have added them in the web config file but when I read the values I have given a wrong name to retrieve. client_id and client_secret values were not set. As a result this error popped out.
