I'm using the FaceBook C# SDK for the first time.
Since I have a simple application I want to create I have picked up the sample Azure MVC application and modified it to point at my facebook application instance and secret as per the configuraiton guidance.
I want to retrieve a months status messages so I need authorisation which has worked thanks to CanvasAuthorize(Perms = "user_about_me") attribute.
However now when I goto the about view I get an error in the controller first:
dynamic result = fbApp.Get("me");
The actual error is listed as:
The remote name could not be resolved: 'graph.facebook.com'
Can anyone help me identify what I am doing wrong?
Many thanks,
_David
That sounds like a temporary connectivity issue. The server (or your computer) is having trouble resolving http://graph.facebook.com. Try to going to http://graph.facebook.com/microsoft in your browser and see what happens.
Make sure that you have the correct fb_key and fb_secret values. In my case I have added them in the web config file but when I read the values I have given a wrong name to retrieve. client_id and client_secret values were not set. As a result this error popped out.

I am really struggling here... All I actually want to achieve is that I can get the Generate-Strong-Password function inside my app but that is actually harder than I thought.
I learned that I should go with Firebase Dynamic Links because I have a Wordpress-Website from All-Inkl.com.
I followed this Tutorial and there is actually an Apple-Site-Association-File at the moment. But I can't access my Website anymore as it looks like this:
Inside my Firebase Project I am getting this error which says that there not all the necessary "A-Files" are inside my Website:
My DNS-Settings:
I've been struggling for weeks now to get this done so if anyone has any idea how I can fix it I would be extremely grateful!! (btw, I am a total newbie when it comes to websites; I know my way around Swift though)
It seems that different domain providers accept different values for DNS entries ('A records' = 'A-Datensätze', in this case).
Try editing the entries for the Host field (which currently hold your website's URL) to one of the 'common inputs' listed here: https://firebase.google.com/docs/hosting/custom-domain?hl=de#domain-key
As the URL to your site doesn't seem to be what your provider accepts, I would suggest you try replacing it with the next option, i.e. replacing it with # .
Hope this helps solving your issue!
So I'm dealing with app rejection "Guideline 1.2 - Safety - User Generated Content" and one of the features app want me to implement is "- A mechanism for users to block abusive users" Im not sure exactly how to put the code into action but know what i have to do which is
Step 1. Create class in Parse for blocked users, like: "Blocked"
Step 2. Create columns of type [String]: blockedBy & username (user is blocked)
Step 3. Query only users if current user is not in blocked list
Step 4. Add button to send PFObject to block a User
If someone can help i can provide info from my project. It would be much appreciated because I've been struggling with this for weeks.
Check out https://www.raywenderlich.com/98831/parse-tutorial-getting-started-web-backends tutorial. Great help, shows how to setup the local environment, the MongoDB, how to create a class within the local parse environment ran from the terminal, shows how to query, etc. Let me know if you have more specific questions I can help resolve.
I'm very new to Apigee.
I'm adding an existing WSDL service as a API proxy.
When fetching the SOAP functions, all looks good. Every single one is imported and are setup correctly.
When i then hit the save button the proxy is created, but are never submitting the revision to the server.
When looking into the problem I see that i get a 502 error back from a file named https://enterprise.apigee.com/gw/upload/[NAME]/tradetracker-api/?validate=true
Also a TypeError: 'undefined' is not an object (evaluating 'b.then') are thrown from a file named 24efdbdd.proxy-editor.js
As i'm using Apigee's own website to add the proxy, so there's not much i can do about it.
This is happening in both Chrome 32, Safari 7 and Firefox 25 and the error has been there for at least a week.
I can't be the only one using Apigee's which keep's getting this error!?
There appears to be an issue with the WSDL file format -- not entirely sure what it is as one WSDL validator I used said it was okay, and another one choked on it saying it wasn't able to parse the file.
I've opened an issue with the Apigee product team to see if A) we can identify the issue with this WSDL and B) improve the product to throw a proper error rather than timing out.
This is fixed in the next release that is scheduled for release on 2/5/2014.
I am trying to use facebook ios sdk but when I run the Hackbook example it gives me the error message "Invalid or missing URL scheme. You cannot run the app unti you set up a valid URL scheme in your .plist" Where do I make the changes for this?
Since one of the answers mentioned it, I will say that I have already modified the plist to have fb[my_app_id] in the URLSchemes.
This tutorial walks you through the process step by step, search for "Modify the app property list file".
I figured it out. There was another instance in the code where the ID needed to be replaced. What's odd is that it's not specifically called out as far as I can tell. I did a search for it.
you have to add like this
100% works and solved crash
Could anybody help me to understand this issue? The problem is:
I have a two versions of my application that work in parallel. This means that I have sessions already started in one application that I should use in another app.
First version uses PHP sessions ($_SESSION with custom handlers) and second version of application built on Zend Framework and it should use Zend_Session.
So when I try to create new Zend_Session_Namespace("default") instance I get an error that session was already started and it's true.
So the question is — can I initialize Zend_Session object with the data already stored in PHP $_SESSION?
I had similar problem, and figured it out form zend site,
This worked for me:
in .htaccess file do:
php_value session.auto_start 0
For ref check: http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.session.advanced_usage.html
Hope it helps
Ok, I solved this issue, and in case of me the solution is:
In old version I push member's ID into cookie
In new version I fetch that ID and use different sessions system with own handler.
The one thing that may up security and may help avoid collisions it's check member's email using pubcookie.
Hope my solution helps someone.
