What do I do when I have an unknown stale connection with Tokeet when linking rentals? - icalendar

I have unknown ical connection within Tokeet and not in another channel. The connection has gone stale. My URL's are correct and the connection has suddenly gone stale. How can I resolve this and restore my connection?

While Unknown stale connections are rare within Tokeet, the easiest way to resolve it is to delete the original export and import connections and proceed by completing all the steps in the attached set up guide.

Challenge in data from REST API using Azure Data Factory - access issue

We are trying to reach to an API hosted in our company network using rest connector in ADF (SHIR is used). Linked service connection is successful but dataset is unable to read the data and copy activity is as well failing with below error. Please suggest your thoughts in resolving the same.
Failure happened on 'Source' side. ErrorCode=UserErrorFailToReadFromRestResource,'Type=Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common.Shared.HybridDeliveryException,Message=An error occurred while sending the request.,Source=Microsoft.DataTransfer.ClientLibrary,''Type=System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException,Message=An error occurred while sending the request.,Source=mscorlib,''Type=System.Net.WebException,Message=Unable to connect to the remote server,Source=System,''Type=System.Net.Sockets.SocketException,Message=A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond ,Source=System,'
This error is mostly seen due to firewall issues. You might want to verify your network firewall setting to allow the API request to be read.
Also, verify if your API call is working as expected using other API testing tools. If the issue persists you can raise a support ticket for engineers to investigate more on the issue.
If you are able to preview data in your source , then check your sink connection as this issue can occur when the Sink in the copy activity is behind a firewall, I was getting the same issue and I tried copying to a container without a firewall and it worked. Its weird that the error is related to Source and the issue is with Sink.

ADF-Postgres Timeout

I'm working with ADF and Azure Managed Postgres. I've had a reoccurring issue with look-ups and query-sourced copy activities timing out after about 35 seconds.
Failure happened on 'Source' side. 'Type=Npgsql.NpgsqlException,Message=Exception while reading from stream,Source=Npgsql,''Type=System.IO.IOException,Message=Unable to read data from the transport connection: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.,Source=System,''Type=System.Net.Sockets.SocketException,Message=A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond,Source=System,'
So the error says it's a Npgsql Exception, so I took a look at their documentation and modified the connection string to take Timeout = 60 and CommandTimeout = 60 as well (Internal Timeout will default to CommandTimeout).
And the queries still timeout at ~35 seconds. Could this be a socket issue with the Azure Managed Instance causing the timeout and it's just propagating down to npgsql?
Any help would be appreciated!
I just want to add some precision because I had the same problem (and thanks #DeliciousMalware and #Leon_Yue):
There is a default timeout of 30s for requests with a postgres connection
There is no way to change this timeout from the lookup activity directly.
The only option that does something is to add Timeout=600;CommandTimeout=0; to your connection string in your linked service (if you use a key vault for exemple) or add the options in the linked service additionnal parameters like in #DeliciousMalware screenshot.
Timeout is to establish the connection, and CommandTimeout is the timeout for the command itself (in second, 0 means infinity)
The library behind the connection is npgsql, and the others parameters and details that are usable are there: https://www.npgsql.org/doc/connection-string-parameters.html
I had a hard time to find what the parameters of the connection string are and what they mean, and which one exists, so I was really happy to find this doc. I didn't found a lot of doc on postgres in azure, so I though this list of param would be of some use for others.
I added the 2 parameters suggested by Leon and that resolved the issue I had.
Here is a screenshot of the parameters being added to the linked service:

Oracle 12c connection error:-Got minus one from a read call

My Sql developer was working fine from long time, suddenly from yesterday when i am trying to reconnect it is giving me following error:-
Status : Failure -Test failed: IO Error: Got minus one from a read call, connect lapse 62991 ms., Authentication lapse 0 ms.
Things I tried to solve the issue:-
Made corresponding changes in sqlnet.ora , listener.ora and tnsnames.ora files
Checked is there are too many open connections to the database service.
Restarted ORACLE service and listener
Firewall related changes
Reinstalled ORACLE
In my case the issue, it is due to a malware. Whenever i am trying to connect to DB port, it was automatically getting changed by malware.
You can also identify the problem by using lsnrctl status command, for further information. You can also see the log file of listener.
Run a full scan on your machine and restart listener, hope that helps.

MySQL Workbench failed to connect

I can't figure this one out. I can't connect to a server using MySQL Workbench, I tried any kind of connection methods. The error message I get is
Failed to Connect to MySQL at AT 127.0.0.1:3306 with user root
Invalid for this platform protocol requested(MYSQL_PROTOCOL_SOCKET)
I ran into the same problem, in my case I originally created the connection with the "Local Socket/Pipe" option selected in the "Connection Method" drop down. Trying to switch back to "Standard (TCP/IP)" did not work and caused the error mentioned by OP. I had to delete the connection and start over by selection "Standard (TCP/IP)" from the start. The connection was successful after that.
To solve this problem you must check the "Others" field in Advanced tab
If you had the connection stored with a socket option you will find a "socket=." (or anything similar)
Delete it
e.g. http://prntscr.com/k63pua
This is a very unusal error message which I haven't seen before, especially on Windows. It has probably to do with how the server is installed. As a newbie it would definitely be the best choice to use the Windows Installer for all required parts. This will install the server properly too.
By using xampp you are on your own to check whether a server is installed and running as a service, as well as the proper configuration. For troubleshooting watch my video on Youtube where I tried to explain most common pitfalls for beginners.
Note: you can open the connection without actually being connected. In that case MySQL Workbench allows to do all those things that don't require a valid server connection, e.g. log file viewing, config file editing, service start/stop etc. Use this to check your server's configuration. Make sure it accepts TCP/IP connections (there's also a short section in the video about this).
Update:
Downvoter, please add a comment why you think my answer is bad.
Re-reading the error message I got another idea: could it be that you used local socket/named pipe for the connection? If so try with normal TCP/IP.

Source Any Where VSS, Error at recv(): An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

I am using Source anywhere for vss and while getting the update it gives me following error
Error at recv(): An existing connection was forcibly closed by the
remote host.
from your screenshot, the software is trying to retrieve the project/file tree structure. this error could happen if the internet connection between the client and the server is unstable. you may try refreshing to see whether the problem remains
It was some log files issue with Source any where . System Restart does the work. It's happens every few days and system restart does work. But I am still looking for proper solution
