App Store internal distribution fails to add my organization ID - app-store

It fails with the error "The Organization ID or Apple ID you entered could not be found. Try again."
I've input my own Organization ID which has been approved, and it fails every time with this error. I initially thought it might need some time for the. new organization ID to propagate, but it has been over 24hrs now and I still get the same error.

I've figured it out! The issue was the Organization Name field, which happened to be the same as the name of the the organization my app store connect account it associated with. By just changing the string in that field (I added " Inc" at the end), it worked!

In our case, the problem was also in the Organization name (although the error message shows the Organization ID), which had to match exactly (including periods and separators) the Organization name in Apple Business Manager.

"Failed to push application, host taken" error even after giving permission

My teammate is seeing a "Failed to push application, host taken" error even after I have added her as a user on the domain I have created.
One thing I noticed is that the Roles field for the domain shows only Manager, Auditor and Billing Manager. I have enabled all of those.
I have added my teammate as a Developer in the particular "Space" where the app runs.
I believe you can only use the same url (host and domain) connected to two different apps in the same space. In this case, you will get round robin between the two apps. If you want the team mate to replace the existing app, she needs to push her app to the same app name and the same space as your original app
Try adding a unique word at the end of your application name. By default, the application name becomes the first part of the url - which needs to be globally unique. .mybluemix.net
Also, please make sure she is logged into the same space as the existing app.

Reserve app name for next year

My customer needs an app for this year but the name he choose dis already in use. I advice him to change completely the name for this year but he wants to be sure to have the desire name next year.
So what if I upload the next year app with the desired name now and than, when it will be approved, I deselect all territories in iTunes Connect (my app will be removed from all App Store territories worldwide). The App will remain "inactive" until next year, and the name can't be use from others, right?
How to be sure that the name does not already exist when I create the app? If I create a new app and digit "Facebook" as a name it returns no error.. I think it iTunes connect needs the SKU to check the availability..
How do know that the name will be available next year?
Concerning reserving the name:
As soon as you create a new app in iTunesConnect and have a valid developer account (which you have, otherwise you couldn't create the app) the app's name is reserved for you. You don't have to do any further request or something, the creation is enough.

Could not execute specified command - Not able to add customer record in Quickbooks

We are trying to query Customer Master for "TEST CUSTOMER", But Quickbooks is returning an error saying "The name "[TEST CUSTOMER]" of the list element is already in use."
We tried searching customer master for the above customer, but could not find it in QB. We searched the entire list of customer which includes inactive as well but no luck.
We are using RSSBUS ADO.Net Provider for integration. When we communicated to them, they said, there might me issue with the Company File.
Can you please help us resolve the issue, or tell us the cause of the issue?
-Santosh
QuickBooks has a UNIQUE constraint across the combination of (vendors, customers, employees, "other names").
So, it could be that a vendor or employee already exists with that name.
You might also check to see if the customer is marked inactive (inactive customers don't show up in default queries).

Creating Test Accounts in PayPal sandbox returns error message

After I've logged into developer.paypal.com, and access Applications/Sandbox Accounts, and click "Create Account" to add personal users to my sandbox accounts, I get the error message seen below. The total records increments, but the additional accounts don't display, and I can't log back into the Sandbox using the credentials I've created.
Anyone have an idea as to what's the issue?
I had this problem, and also needed to put in the fields for 1st and last name, which the Test Account create form says are optional. So, password needs to be complex, amount needs to be in there, and first and last name need to be specified for this error not to be thrown.
Try entering Paypal balance value between 1 and 5000 while creating a test account. I too had the same issue and this is how I resolved it.
PayPal balanc: While this field is optional, it’s a good idea to
create test accounts with positive bank balances. Enter an integer
value between 1 and 5000.

For me, it seems this issue was caused by password validation. Try using a more complex password.

Availability of a name for an app in the AppStore

Is there a way to check if a name is available in the AppStore with an HTTP request? Without manually creating the App in iTunes Connect?
UPDATE 2015-01-05, per SarahR:
If you already have an app created, you can use its SKU for the app you want to check, and you'll get an error on submission that that SKU has already been used. If you don't remember the SKU you used for an existing app, you can go to the app details page, choose "MORE", then "about this app". If you don't already have an app created, it is plausible that you could create a dummy app with a name nobody would ever want to use, and then use its SKU to bounce the names you really want to test (though again, be wary of terms of service on that).
ORIGINAL:
The trick to checking the availability of a name while brainstorming is to not fill in the other required fields. Each field is checked individually. You do have to use iTunes Connect — "Manage Your Applications" -> "Add New App" (don't fill in a SKU Number or bundle id); if the name has been reserved, it will give you the following errors:
You must select a Bundle ID.
The App Name you entered has already been used.
provide a SKU.
The second one is the winner, while the other two errors make sure you don't accidentally reserve the name before you're ready.
If you need to automate this process (which is probably against their terms of service), you can use any standard scraper. Mechanize is probably the most robust out of the box, but I think that's another question....
I use Google to check if an app name (or something similar to it) already exists.
Use this as your search query:
site:itunes.apple.com inurl:app clash of clans
(replace 'clash of clans' with the suggested app name of course)
Kaolin Fire's suggestion doesnt work on the latest version of itunesconnect. A work around is to start the creation of a new app and where you fill in all the details and the name of the app you want to know the availability for but using a sku of any of your previous apps.
If the name is available you will only get an error that the sku is already in use. Else you will get 2 errors sku and name both are in use.
Open iTunes Connect
Click 'New App'
Fill out language and bundle id (can be anything)
Enter desired name & SKU of a previous app you have built
Click 'Create'
The name field will return red if the name has been taken.
2020 Update
*For apple developer have another application
Choose any application your own
Click "+New Version"
Click "App Information" (Then you can edit application name)
Input your application name that name want to check available then click "Save"
If you can save without error, You can use this name. (You can change to another name if you want to make this name available again then click "Save")
If this name not available you get error same this
App Annie and Google only give you games that are published to the App store. The only way to do it is go through the entire app creation process, including Bundle ID. This process is horrible as my iTunes Connect is littered with reserved app names that I do not intend to do anything with and will not become available to others until they expire 90 days after registration.
You could try app annie
It requires a free registration. I tried and tested it and does a decent job for iOS,MAC,GooglePlay app name searches.
You can check the availability of an app name and even reserve that name here. Here is a page with more details about checking/reserving app names.
