I'm creating a little baseclass for webcomponents. For this I have created my own filetype (.wco => web components), divided in a tag and a tag. Now I face the problem that VS Code (logically) not know my custom file type, therefor it displays it as plain-text. How can I apply Typescript formatting/hightlighting and CSS formatting/hightlighting for the same file? Is there a way to create an extension for this? Or is it already possible with prettier? How to define the language?
I'm not searching an answer for all questions of course, more some hints into which direction I should look for. (Thinking about how svelte/vue does this?)
Any help is appreciated
I have found out that we can add embedded languages with a language extension.
Information can be found here:

You would have thought this would have been a fairly straightforward task, however, I can't for the life of me, find where it is originally set. I'd like to make a few other changes once I know which file to look for. any help much appreciated.
Hi please check if you have any party extension installed.
If not then please check the below steps
You need to create one folder in your theme name i18n and create file en_US.csv en_US is the language code it depends on your language code.
you need to change the value from Zip/Postcode to Postcode/Zip .
The second method is to enable translate inline and change the word that you want to change.
https://docs.magento.com/m2/ee/user_guide/system/translate-inline.html
I'm in the process of creating a VSCode extension to do code completion for an existing Lua API.
I'm having a bit of trouble achieving the following (examples are JavaScript):
I've been looking for examples and tutorials but haven't come up with much. I assume I may need to do a fair amount of string processing, around the current cursor position, to get enough data to lookup the appropriate documentation (which I stored in an array of json objects). But presently I don't know how to get the meta-data dialog to show when entering parameters.
P.S. I have reviewed the official extension samples.
Your screenshots show two VS Code features:
The first screenshot shows a hover / quick info. It is used to display information about the current word the user is hovering over. To add a hover, your extension should implement and register a HoverProvider
The second screenshot shows parameter hints / signature help. It displays information to the user as they complete a function call. To add signature help, your extension should implement and register a SignatureHelpProvider
In both cases, how you implement the functionality is entirely up to your extension. Most language extensions maintain a structural representation of the file (such as an AST) and use this to provide hover and signature help info.
You can also either implement your extension as a direct VS Code extension or using the language server protocol (which works across editors). See VS Code's Language Extensions Overview for more information about developing a language extension and why you may want to consider the Language Server Protocol
I have a scalaFX app that currently has its views created programmatically. I am wondering if I can use the Emmet tool to create FXML (particularly ScalaFXML) because I want to recreate my views in ScalaFXML to separate my views from my controllers more effectively. I have searched the internet and cannot find out if this is possible. So far I have only used Emmet for HTML. Thanks in advance for the help!
I have been looking around for something for PrimeFaces; I had trouble finding anything. I guess maybe it's because people who are using it are actually writing "normal" HTML with JS frameworks.
The good news is, it's completely (and easily!) customizable: just find the installation directory, and edit the "snippets.json" file, or create a new one called (for example) snippets-scalaFX.json. Mine on a Windows 10 machine, installed as a plugin for NPP, was C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\plugins\EmmetNPP\emmet\snippets.json.
It's pretty obvious once you get in there, but inside the "snippets" object just add some more fields for yourself. For example, to make a PrimeFaces commandButton tag I added:
"pc": "p:commandButton"
You can use $0 or ${<placeholder text>} to define tabstops for expanded snippets, and | to define the caret starting point.
Full docs on editing snippets are here.
I have a piece of PHP code which I would like to integrate into Typo3 as a sideblock for a custom extension I have written.
Can someone tell me how to integrate PHP code into Typo3 as a sideblock or alternatively point me towards some sample code I can look at. I don't want to use typoscript or anything like that, just plain PHP code but so far I have been unable to find a method of doing so.
Any tips would me much appreciated.
Greetings/Thanks

I think you need use typo3 "userfunc". The below link may help you:
http://www.typo3wizard.com/en/snippets/common-problems-and-solutions/simple-userfunc.html
You might also consider the tscobj extension (http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/tscobj), which allows you to include an object like the one created by typo3wizards userfunc-code provided by Sankar V, as a content element in the editing environment of TYPO3. Remember to use "lib." as top-level identifier instead of "temp.", as is done in the snippet for typo3wizard.
Create a small extensions with the TYPO3 Extension kickstarter and insert it as a content element on the "sideblock part" of you website.
I found a better JS RTE out there and would like to know how to replace the TYPO3 default with the one I found. I googled a lot but couldn't find anything stating how to achieve this.
This is not easily possible without "loosing" many TYPO3 features, because the rtehtmlarea highly integrated into TYPO3.
Especially the link handling is custom, so you would have to write special support to make this work.
A possible replacement is tinemce_rte. It works fairly well, but it does a little more than just replacing the editor with tinymce, e.g. it also adds custom linkhandler support. You can look into this extension if you really want to do this work.
You can download tinyrte or ask in tinyrte forum how to replace htmlarea. Here is the download link: http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/tinyrte.
