This is the error message I get when I put in my GitHub account info (it is the right login)
I can clone my repository but cannot commit and push
Can't connect to any repository: https://github.com/andrewl15/DLLProject (https://github.com/andrewl15/DLLProject: not authorized)
Can you share your folder ? if no! your folder project should have an document/html file e.g index.html by convention for web server can be configured to recognize any file you want as the default for that site.
it's still a good idea to stick with index.html because it is immediately recognized on most servers without any additional configuration needed.
does this solves your error?

I started a Static Web Project in Eclipse to share the project in a remote Git repository as a backup and to possibly share with others.
Created a git repository in the project's folder C:\workspace\projectname.
Committed (added/staged) everything in the C:\workspace\projectname including the .project file and everything in the C:\workspace\projectname\.settings directory as initial commit (because I thought I want to be able to clone the project again from the repository in the future).
Created a remote repository at rocketgit due to its simpler features and ToS.
After everything had been commited, I right clicked the project's repository in the Git Repository view in Eclipse, clicked Remote -> Push.
I entered https as protocol, rocketgit.com as host, users/username/repositoryname as repository path. Entered my username and password, clicked Next.
But a Problem Occurred dialog shows up, with detail `Transport Error:
Cannot get remote repository refs.
https://rocketgit.com/users/username/repositoryname: https://rocketgit.com/users/username/repositoryname/info/refs?service=git-upload-pack not found`.
How do I resolve this? What does this error mean? Can someone explain a solution. Thanks
users\username\repositoryname as repository path.
"users\username\repositoryname" looks like a path on your disk, not to a remote repo URL.
A proper URL would be https://yourServer/<user>/<reponame>, or ssh://git#yourServer/<user>/<reponame>.
I don't know which one RockertGit does support, but using GitHub, GitLab or BitBucket would work.
I have downloaded on my PC this IBM Watson project:
https://github.com/watson-developer-cloud/conversation-simple/
and following its tutorial I've uploaded it on my IBM dashboard.
The problem is that everytime I want to change somethink in the project I've to re-upload it with the command line command cf push.
When I go in the Toolchain section, I can't see all the files and their folders, but only create a new repository or clone it, but in both case I haven't resolved my problem.
How can I resolve this problem?
Try to use:
cf push APP_NAME
Obs.: cf push does not support incremental upload. It will simply push everything in the folder to the cloud.
If your node_modules in the folder which resulted in a large-size upload. Try to specify what to exclude in a .cfignore file.
Example .cfignore file contents:
tmp/
node_modules/
my_unnecessary_file.txt
When executing your next cf push for deploying the application it will omit the files and directories listed in your .cfignore file.
See more about CF PUSH.
See more deploy applications with CF CLI.
It doesn't change anything, because when you create a toolchain it ask you to select between:
- New
- Clone
- Fork
and I tried all these options but going in the web eclipse editor files don't appear.
This s the git repository of my app:
https://git.ng.bluemix.net/consultagiovanilepolizzi/official-app2
How can I import with Git an existing project in my computer to edit it with toolchain?
As it seems that you are working with the Continuous delivery, instead of uploading your app using cf push, you are going to use the toochain.
The fist step is to use the git repository, you need to create a ssh key or an access token, if you prefer to connect through https, the access token can be created in the Bluemix git, going into the settings of your user, then Access Tokens
After that, you can push your app to the repository using a git tool, the user name will be your IBM account, and the password your token.
In the delivery pipeline, the build stage checks you repository for new commits into the master, by default, and start a new build, sending to the deploy if successful.

I have installed GitHub Desktop as the uploaded local project tool, I uploaded a project "F:/test", and it could show successful in my GitHub homepage, then I delete this repository.
But I re-publish this project to GitHub.
Github Desktop shows this history of the repository, and prompt error
The repository does not seem to exist anymore.
You may not have [enter access, or it may have been deleted or renamed
How can I get past this error message?
This error was keeps on occurring to me. Turn out I was not added as the Contributor on the GitHub project.
The repo owner should be able to see and list of Contributor for the project. You can request him to add you in contributor list and this error will disappear.
I was facing the same issue, I simply sign out from Github Desktop app in File > options > Signout
In my case I accidentally changed the push Url, so I executed:
git remote set-url --push origin https://github.com/username/repo.git
After that I checked with:
git remote show origin
your Fetch Url and Push Url must look like the same URL where you cloned the project.
As shown in this error, it is the result of an invalid local path. Either because it includes invalid characters, or because you don't have write/admin access to it (read access is not enough).
If you can, clone again that repo in a different path and open it with GitHub Desktop, and see if the issue persists.
I had the same issue. I deleted my repository from remote as well and then recreated.
If you aren't worried about the change trace being lost, then you can simply remove the .git folder (you will need to enable hidden files in windows) and then re-initialize the repository in the project folder.
This resolved the problem for me!
In my case I have used more than one account. Just sign out from GitHub Desktop and sign in back to the specific account. You might sign out any logged GitHub session on the default web browser if the account is not what you want.
Since I had a forked repository, I had spelled my url wrong in
github desktop -> repository -> repository settings...
I had a link called github.com/myname/myproject.it
but instead of it I hade to write git.
github.com/myname/myproject.git
I was logged in with the wrong account! I had to sign out of Github in the browser first, then sign out in Github Desktop and re-sign in
Hey how to connect my webpage with github repository ,I mean , when I merge pull request it immediately make change in my webpage.I was using github-pages but now I would like include some php and it doesn't work. Thanks for any help.
Manual: after each push to the repo you´d have to pull on your server for the current version. (You don´t want this...)
Automation: first you need a server (linux/ windows) with git installed and clone the repository to your webserver directory (i.e. apache.webserver: var/www/html). Then you need a script which automaticly pulls the new changes to your server and use a webhook to trigger the script. That way you´d have the current version of your repo on the server all the time. (Push --> Webhook triggers script --> Server repo get´s new changes)
Alternative: create NOT a github BUT a git repository hosted on your own server (tuturial for linux only). You could push into it aswell and you´d have the current version of your site on the server without the path over github.
I managed to finally get EGit in Eclipse to work (still don't know how) and I've committed/pushed my current project up to GitHub. So far, so good. Looking at it on GitHub's site, I see it wants me to make a README.md file to provide a nice description. Fine, I think, I'll just use the tool it's providing me with to get it started, then have it sync back down to my local computer where I can further modify it and keep it synced.
So I created a quick README.md file on GitHub's site. But now, when I perform a "Pull" action in Eclipse, I am told that there's nothing new to pull, or something like that. Why is it not getting the new file that was created on GitHub's site, and how can I get it so that I can make changes to it whenever I want?
If you have git installed you can use a terminal and type in the root of your repository:
git pull origin master
or you could try checking out only that file:
git checkout README.md
