VSCode - Shows Deploy to Function App, instead of Deploy to Web App for blazor (ASP.Net) webapp - visual-studio-code

VSCode sees my Blazor server app as an Azure Function. Right-clicking on my publish folder I only have the option to Deploy to Function App, instead of Deploy to Web App which logically shows me only my function apps from azure. How is this determined by VSCode? I have checked the project file, but I do not see anything obvious wrong.
I tried Googling this, but the search terms only brings me to tutorials where this problem does not exist.

I was missing the Azure Web App extension. Once that was installed, the option appeared

How to add files and folders to an Azure Web App from within Visual Studio Code

I installed the Azure extension to my Visual Studio Code and connected to my Azure Web App and I can open and edit files from my Azure Web App within Visual Studio Code without problem. What I am struggling with is how to add files and folders to my Azure Web App within VS code.
I can create a new file in VS code, but I cannot find a way to make this new file part of my Web App.
Also, dragging files from a file explorer in Windows into the Azure Web App within VS code does not work.
Is there a way to create/delete/move files and folders inside the files section of an Azure Web App that is shown in the Azure extension in VS code?
I tried to find an answer in Youtube/Google/stackoverflow but did not find a relevant solution that is applicable to my problem.
It would be great if someone could show how to manage files and folders within an Azure Web App that is open in the Azure extension of VS code to a level of detail that shows in very detail what to click/add (step by step since I do not have much experience)
Created and deployed Azure App service from VSCode.
Tried to add the new file / folder in VSCode and deployed to same AppService once again.
Local folder
Unable to see the newly created files.
Deployed App Folder
You can directly add, edit or delete files/folders in Azure Web App from Azure Portal.
Navigate to the KUDU Console
URL : https://YourWebAppName.scm.azurewebsites.net/DebugConsole
or
you can open KUDU console from
Azure Portal => YourWebApp => Advanced Tools => Go => Debug Console => CMD
We have an option to create New Folder / File directly.

Is there a way to host MATLAB web app (designed in App Designer) on Github Pages?

I have already created and designed my MATLAB app in App Designer, where it currently works fine with the executable deployment. However, I've been researching the implementation of my application into a web browser, and have attempted doing it through MATLAB Web App Server, however it only seems to work while I have the run button pressed, obviously. Additionally, I attempted to create an AWS server using the MATLAB tutorial, however for some reason my stack build always fails.
So just curious is there another way to do this, such that either the server can host my app indefinitely, or perhaps run it through a GitHub pages account because my current project is saved on Github?
You need a back server which runs the MATLAB engine (or MCR).
Something you can not do on GitHub as they don't dedicate you a server for persistent work.

Can't connect to Azure Devops using Eclipse plugin

I'm using eclipse 2019, and I'm trying to integrate it with my company's Azure DevOps, or rather one specific project/repo in that.
After some quick googling, I found a tutorial (which I followed) that involved installing some software through eclipse for Team Explorer Everywhere, a plugin that supposedly performs this automation. However, after installing said plugin and attempting to connect to my company's Devops project, I get stuck in an authentication loop. More specifically, once I point it to the project's url from Azure Devops and give it the correct credentials, Eclipse asks me to click a link and paste a code it gives me into a field in that link once I sign in on the web. I do this, and the website tells me that authentication has been successful and that I should close the browser window. So, I do that. Then I hit "OK" in Eclipse, and the popup I've been in closes.
Now, this is where one might THINK that I would be connected to the Azure repo, but instead when the popup closes it just brings me back to the part where it asks me for a project url, with no changes having been made. I can complete these steps ad infinitum with no difference.
I've tried reinstalling the plugin, using a few different versions of eclipse (like Neon), and several different source urls.
I'd love to share any error messages, but I get nothing. It just blankly returns to the start of the process. The end result I'm looking for is for my Azure repo and and an Eclipse project to be synced.

How to deploy web application onto Google App Engine

This may be a vague question but I have been unable to find any help/tutorials specific to my situation and am stuck.
I have built a website using Eclipse (Dynamic Web Project.) I then deployed this application using Tomcat and can see it by going to localhost, however, I am struggling on how to actually deploy it to the cloud.
I am trying to use Google App Engine but am open to other (free) alternatives for deploying my web application.
With Google App Engine, I registered for an account, made a new project, connected it to my github repository and confirmed the correct code is listed.
However, when navigating to project_id.appspot.com (mine is http://mapp-development.appspot.com) I get a 404 error.
I have attempted various deployments and even made an entirely new Google Web Application Project in Eclipse for testing which worked but weirdly deployed to http://1-dot-mapp-develop.appspot.com/ and is the test files which I do not know how to correctly modify.
Is there any way to upload/deploy my existing web application to Google App Engine (as a .war or otherwise)?
I am new to web development and apologize for any unclear specifications. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: I have also tried (in Eclipse) right clicking the project and choosing "Deploy to App Engine" under Google however it states "mapp-website is not an App Engine project".
Edit2: I had a stupid mistake, I confused my Project ID (mapp-development) and app id (mapp-develop). I am able to successfully make a new Google web project and deploy it to mapp-develop.appspot.com
Sorry for the trouble!
Here are three ways to deploy:
Make an App Engine project in Eclipse
Deploy via Git
Deploy via GitHub
It seems like you tried #1 with a project named 1-dot-mapp-develop. If you select deploy from Eclipse, a dialog box will pop up with a link to "App Engine Project Settings" where you can change the project name (to mapp-development and version).

Why has an basic Umbraco site taken over my Azure site as startup site?

My website at Azure suddenly started showing a basic "Umbraco welcome site" instead of my website hosted on azure. I do not know why, Umbraco is not included in my sourcefiles as far as I know.
When I do http://www.mywebsitename.com it works fine and my azure website gets loaded, but when I dont include 'www'; http://mywebsitename.com - it just shows the "Windows Azure Accelerator for Umbraco" page saying:
"The Windows Azure Accelerator for Umbraco is designed to enable Umbraco applications to be easily run on Windows Azure. The accelerator has been designed to enable you to rapidly deploy Umbraco applications and updates to your application without redeploying a full Windows Azure Service Package. For more information about the accelerator, please visit the CodePlex site located here."
I do not know why this behaviour suddenly happened, how can I get rid of it? I think maybe this behaviour started when I played around with some storage-blobs
Is your DNS set correctly for the URL without the 'www.' and is your Azure app listening for both www. and the empty subdomain? Sounds to me like the URL without www. is hitting a different application.
