Dependency versions are listed in an appendix of Spring Boot's reference documentation. In that appendix can see that Spring Boot 2.3.4.RELEASE uses 3.0.4.RELEASE of org.springframework.data:spring-data-mongodb by default.
If you use Spring Boot's dependency management, either by inheriting from spring-boot-starter-parent or importing spring-boot-dependencies, you can declare a dependency without a version and Spring Boot's dependency management will give you the correct version automatically. You can learn more about this in the reference documentation.

Resteasy migration from JBoss 7.1.1 to Wildfly 9.0 special tasks?

After ensuring that all the libraries (only newer) seemed to exist on Wildfly 9, and checking the RestEasy migration page, I tried to deploy an app that works find on AS 7.1.1 (uses Resteasy 2.3.2) to WF9 (Resteasy 3.0.11) but it was unable to deploy due to this error:
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jboss/resteasy/core/ResourceMethod
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.jboss.resteasy.core.ResourceMethod from [Module \\\"deployment.CodecMapper.war:main\\\" from Service Module Loader]\"}}"
I jarfinded the class and looked in the catalog of resteasy-jaxrs-3.0.11-Final.jar but didn't find it (it was in the 2.3.2 version). Is it in a new jar or failed dependency? Or is this a migration issue I'll need to address in my code (even though it's not listed as one on the Resteasy migration page)?
I have also reviewed the Wildfly migration page specific to Resteasy, but I don't see any changes required.

Spring boot jackson auto configuration linkage error wildfly

A.war -> Is a simple spring boot REST app using version 1.2.6.RELEASE ( internally using spring 4.1.7 RELEASE, jackson 2.4.6 )
B.jar -> Is a wildfly9 shared module (stored in wildfly/modules) which is packaged using maven shaded plugin containing spring framework (without spring boot meaning using the old way of adding spring projects dependencies) and jackson classes of same version as above. (Its shaded because non-spring and non-container projects can just add this jar in their class-path and use it - it works)
A.war has maven dependency scope <provided> on B.jar and has jboss-deployment-structure.xml with <dependencies> <module name = "B"> </dependencies>
A.war deployment fails with below error.
Note: A.war deploys perfectly fine when i remove B.jar jboss dependency. So adding B.jar is causing this issue. And If i don't use spring boot in A.war (meaning if i use simple spring webmvc and context dependencies directly) with B.jar jboss dependency, A.war deploys perfectly too
Can anyone explain me what the error below says and how can i investigate more ?
As far as my understanding on wildlfy classloading, A.war and B.jar should be loaded in different module class loaders, Is A.war complaining about jackson classes of B.jar here in the error ?

After investigating more jboss classloading behavior, jackson classes inside B.jar are conflicting with same jackson classes from jboss restesay module.
so after excluding them in jboss-deployment-structure.xml as below this problem is fixed..

Not loading the persistence provider class in runtime

I have created RestService enabled with JPA(Generic 2.0 version). Using jersey jars and hibernate entity manager jar as dependencies.
Deployment is successfull in tomcat. But when any transaction is processed, getting below exception in runtime.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.persistence.spi.PersistenceProvider
What could be the issue, not loading the persistence provider class even it is in the classpath ?
What do you mean with classpath? The library/jar of the Persistence Provider Hibernate and the JPA (javax.persistence) have to be in the ear/war file so that Tomcat is able to access them.
How do you create that ear/war file? With Maven? Then you have to set the dependencies at least to runtime.

I already have been using the WebLogic prefer-application-packages classloader filtering in my weblogic.xml file as described here in order to resolve a runtime conflict in WebLogic 12c as it seems to repackage an older version of the library. This had been working in guava 14.0.1, but does not in 15.0.
As far as I can tell, preferring the com.google.common.* package should include everything. Does this Finalizer class do something special that is happening before the classloader filtering happens, thereby trying to load the old version that appears to have a different API?
Is there an alternative solution to use the guava-15.0.jar packaged with the application instead of what is bundled with the server?
There's an open issue #1527 targeting this problem (Guava 15 cannot be deployed to any JEE6 container) which occured after fixing this one. Please star and / or comment and wait for the fix (comment #33 suggests that version 15.0.1 could be released in near furture).

As an aditional information, I landed on this question with a similar problem while upgrading to Weblogic 12c due to a conflit between WL and Guava (have tried with versions 11 and 18 of Guava).
I found the solution to be to explicitly prefer my application's lib. I set this on my weblogic.xml:

When you get a NoSuchMethodError in external libraries, it is usually due to having multiple versions of the same dependency on the classpath. This might be due to a transitive dependency, so detecting it through just looking at the dependency in the pom.xml of your project is not enough. If you do a mvn dependency:tree, it will list all transitive dependencies as well, so look for multiple versions of the same dependency.
It might also be that the same class is implemented is multiple dependencies, so google it to find out which jars contain it. http://www.jarfinder.com/index.php/java/info/org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration
