Am experimenting with salesforce apis by creating and patching with its api services.I dont know how to create a custom profile with the help of its apis and also i dont know what are all the required body parameters to create a profile. i tried sending a post request with the following body
{
"Name" : "testprofile"
}
to the url /services/data/v54.0/sobjects/Profile
i got this message as response
{
"message": "insufficient access rights on cross-reference id",
"errorCode": "INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_ON_CROSS_REFERENCE_ENTITY",
"fields": []
}
i reffered https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.234.0.object_reference.meta/object_reference/sforce_api_objects_profile.htm
havent got any eloborate writings on what should be in the body while using post request.. but it says create() methods are allowed
It seems that i have to add user license with the body along with the name for the post to scceeded once added it should look like this
{
"Name":"profilename",
"UserLicenseId": "license id"
}
and thus made the request work

I have an app that gets leads from facebook after webhook request when leads fill out forms: Some pages are throwing this error:
{
"error": {
"message": "Unsupported get request. Object with ID '233332620530416' does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api",
"type": "GraphMethodException",
"code": 100,
"error_subcode": 33,
"fbtrace_id": "HIItB4mggfk"
},
"__debug__": {}
}
I cannot find the error subcode description in Facebooks API docs.
Check you access token at https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/accesstoken
Your app might be missing a needed permission scope.
Visit Business Settings > Users > System Users > Chose «Conversions API System User» > Add Assets. Add your Pixel with ID from your request to the list of assets System User can access.
I have had this issue a few times and the error led me to spend an hour or two combing the docs. The real issue for me each time has been malformed json in the request body (I'm using curl). Dumb I know, but in case a poor soul comes across this. Be sure to validate your json before you decide you query is wrong.
I got this error when adding access_token in post body, worked when adding parameters to url.
Success result using postman
Not success result using postman
Add your access token in the Authorization tab, then choose Oauth2.0 and add your access token on the right side. Please refer to the screenshot for the postman.Click here for the screenshot
I found the answer recently
Follow this steps using postman
https://graph.facebook.com/page-name/feed
headers:
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Body:
message: "your message"
link:"your web link "
access_token:'Your access token '
Searched the net, youtube, and google forums/documentation but can't seem to find this one even if it is possible.
I'm using a google form as a starting point for a workflow that then gets turned into a google group. Is there any scripts that can auto create a google group from the google forms output in sheets once form is submitted?
Thanks in advance.
I haven't tested this yet, so just give it a try. This is what I've found. Directory API let's you create a group by making a POST URI request:
https://www.googleapis.com/admin/directory/v1/groups
with request body:
{
"email": "sales_group#example.com",
"name": "Sales Group",
"description": "This is the Sales group."
}
Since you are using Google Forms, the option would be to use AppScript to perform the XHR request.
Try to make use of Class UrlFetchApp in Appscript.
var options =
{
"method" : "post",
"payload" : payload
};
UrlFetchApp.fetch("http://example.com/upload_form.cgi", options);
I've seen other stack questions but their solutions dont appear to be helping me at all.
I am trying to get profile information when I have an external access token that has been returned from an oauth login using
Microsoft.Owin.Security.Facebook
I have the returned access token and now want to request get some of the user profile data.
In post man I have tried the following GET
https://graph.facebook.com/v2.5/{user-id}?fields=about,name,email&access_token={token}
where I got the user-id by calling
https://graph.facebook.com/v2.5/me?access_token={token}
(which i think is an unnecessary step).
I have also tried the following
https://graph.facebook.com/v2.5/me?fields=about,name,email&access_token={token}
In every instance I only get the id and name fields returned. However, I have noticed if I do the following;
https://graph.facebook.com/v2.5/me?fields=email&access_token={token}
only the id is returned (i assume as I have not specifically asked for the name).
Any ideas why I am not being returned the data please?
UPDATED
If I call the following end point;
https://graph.facebook.com/v2.5/{user-id}/permissions?access_token={token}
I get the following data returned;
{
"data": [
{
"permission": "public_profile",
"status": "granted"
}
]
}
So I assume that I need to request the permissions of the app?
Ok, The ASP.NET permissions request isn't very clear on the facebook developers page. The issue is that the request for information is set in the
FacebookAuthenticationOptions
set during the startup of the application. The additional permissions are request at this point by add to the scope;
var options = new FacebookAuthenticationOptions
{
AppId = "Your App ID",
AppSecret = "Your App Secret",
};
options.Scope.Add("user_friends");
options.Scope.Add("email");
Also, to note during the request the fields are not sent by default and must be requested.
Links to the available permissions can be found here;
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions
Facebook's Graph API documentation lists the application object's ios_bundle_id field under the "Updating" section. However, sending a POST request to update said field, e.g.
POST: https://graph.facebook.com/v2.3/{application_id}?ios_bundle_id=["com.Company.AppName"]&access_token={app_access_token}
Responds with this error message:
{
"error": {
"message": "(#100) ios_bundle_id cannot be edited using the API. Please use the Developer App to edit settings instead.",
"type": "OAuthException",
"code": 100
}
}
I am able to update this field through the Developer App page, but in my case, I need to update this field programmatically.
I have successfully tested that same POST request to update other fields, e.g. app_name, so I am certain the request is structured properly.
Has anyone encountered this issue, or similar? Any suggestions are appreciated.
This is a documentation error. This field is not editable via the Graph API. You have to go into your Facebook Application Dashboard and change it from there.
Here's a link to the bug report created to fix this:
https://developers.facebook.com/bugs/1646835812217089/
Yesterday I started a new app on Facebook. Today I got the message that when people copy the link to Twitter they get an error. This is what you get:
{
"error": {
"message": "Unknown path components: /your_namespace:your_action",
"type": "OAuthException",
"code": 2500
}
}
What does this mean? What could be the problem?
Are you actually sending the POST action link to Twitter? Why?
I think you misunderstood how Open Graph works. Basically, you should be the one publishing actions when users take an action using your service. You can use a server-side or a client-side language to POST request (when you click a link, your browser actually makes a GET request, not a POST) to https://graph.facebook.com/me/namespace:action?access_token=ACCESS_TOKEN&OBJECT_PATH=OBJECT_URL
Note that you need to create an app, use it to authenticate users to get the access token and also set your custom actions / objects. These will need to be approved before you can actually use them.
You should start by taking a look at the sample apps to see how they work: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/samples/
