Filter specific interface in Grafana-PCP - grafana

I am using grafana-pcp for system monitoring across multiple systems. I would like to filter the network interface to a specific interface but cannot find the correct syntax to do this.
My legend has the following two items:
network.interface.in.bytes[lo] {agent="linux", device_type="interface", domainname="localdomain", hostname="machine1", indom_name="per interface", machineid="dfe517f65e334b1380623a9f4f4b8f16"}
network.interface.in.bytes[enp1s0] {agent="linux", device_type="interface", domainname="localdomain", hostname="machine1", indom_name="per interface", machineid="dfe517f65e334b1380623a9f4f4b8f16"}
What I want is to capture only the interface [enp1s0], basically filtering out the [lo] interface.
This is my query:
network.interface.in.bytes {hostname == "machine1"}
I have already tried this:
network.interface.in.bytes {hostname == "machine1"}[enp1s0]
and this:
network.interface.in.bytes[enp1s0]{hostname == "machine1"}
Both give syntax errors and I am unable to find anywhere in the documentation on if this is even possible?

Algolia Instant Search - how to not do the initial search?

I've been following the example for Algolia's Instant Search at https://www.algolia.com/doc/guides/search/instant-search/ (javascript version)
I understand that for many use-cases (like in the example) it makes sense for the script to run its initial search upon pageload and display the results (basically all results).
In my case though I'd like to not do that initial search. How can I achieve this?

You can pass a searchFunction parameter to the instantsearch initializer, which will intercept each search and let you decide whether to perform it or not.
Here's an example taken from this Github issue. The search is not performed if the query is empty, as it will be on page load.

CQ5.5: getting Style of a target page

I've been working on this for sometime now, and I keep running into a wall. I think I'm close, but I figured someone out here in the land of SO might have some deeper insight if not a better way of doing what I'm trying to do.
Basically lets look at this scenario. I have a logo w/ some text that can be set from a few different places. If we look at the setup here is what it looks like.
Hiearchy:
Homepage [has designPath]
- Child Microsite Page [has designPath]
- Logo Component
Logic Flow (in logo component):

My query is with how to get the "parentStyle" of this page. Looking at the docs here: http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/5-5/javadoc/com/day/cq/wcm/api/designer/Style.html
I've been able to come up with the fact that I can get a Style object from the "designer" object made available via defineObjects. This is defined with the other utility objects like "pageManager, resourceUtil, resource, currentPage, etc".
With that being said this doesn't seem to work.

at this point homePageStyle is null. To do some more testing I i tried passing currentPage.getPath() instead of homePage.getPath(). I assumed this would give me the currentPage resource and would in end yield the currentStyle object. This also resulted in a null Style object. From this I think I can safely conclude I'm passing the incorrect resource type.
I attempted to load the the cq:designPath into the resource hoping to get a Designer resourceType but to no avail.
I am curious if anyone has run into this problem before. I apologize if I've gone into too much detail, but I wanted to lay out the "why" to my question as well, just in case there was a better way overall of accomplishing this.
I've figured out how to return the style. Here is the rundown of what I did.

it's very interesting the definition of "getStyle" is a little different from the designer.getStyle vs a Design.getStyle. designer.getStyle asks for a resource whereas Design.getStyle will take the path to a Design "cell" and return the appropriate Style.
I did some testing and it looks like it does work with inherited Styles/Designs. So if my cq:designPath is set at level 1 and I look up a page on at level 2 they will return the Design/Style at the cq:designPath set at level 1.
I hope this helps someone else down the way.
I tried this approach but was not getting the Styles in the Style object.
When we do this:
Design homePageDesign = designer.getDesign(homePage);
In this Design object we get the path till the project node i.e etc/design/myproject
After this if we try to extract the Style from the design path we do not get it.
However I implemented it in a different way.
In the design object, we also get the complete JSON of designs for(etc/design/myproject).
Get the sling:resourceType of the target page and get the value after last index of "/".
Check if this JSON contains the last value. If it contains, you can get your styles, i.e. image, etc.

Celery - error handling and data storage

I'm trying to better understand common strategies regarding results and errors in Celery.
I see that results have statuses/states and stores results if requested -- when would I use this data? Should error handling and data storage be contained within the task?
Here is a sample scenario, in case it helps better understand my objective:
I have a geocoding task that goeocodes user addresses. If the task fails or succeeds, I'd like to update a field in the database letting the user know. (Error handling) On success I'd like the geocoded data to be inserted into the database (Data storage)
What approach should take?
Let me preface this by saying that I'm still getting a feel for Celery myself. That being said, I have some general inclinations about how I'd go about tackling this, and since no one else has responded, I'll give it a shot.
Based on what you've written, a relatively simple (though I suspect non-optimized) solution is to follow the broad contours of the blog comment spam task example from the documentation.

I believe this meets the minimal requirements you've outlined above. I've intentionally left the view undeveloped since I don't have a sense of how exactly you want to trigger it. It sounds like you also may want some sort of user notification when their address can't be geocoded ("I'd like to update a field in a database letting a user know"). Without knowing more about the specifics of this requirement, I would it sounds like something that might be best accomplished in your html templates (if instance.attribute value is X, display q in template) or by using a django.signals (set up a signal for when a user.address.geocode_status switches to failure -- say, by emailing the user to let them know, etc.).
In the comments to the code above, I mentioned the possibility of decoupling and chaining the component parts of the get_geocode task above. You could also think about decoupling the exception handling from the get_geocode task, by writing a custom error handler task, and using the link_error parameter (for instance., add.apply_async((2, 2), link_error=error_handler.s(), where error_handler has been defined as a task in app.tasks.py ). Also, whether you choose to handle errors via the main task (get_geocode) or via a linked error handler, I would think that you would want to get much more specific about how to handle different sorts of errors (e.g., do something with connection errors different than with address data being incorrectly formatted).
I suspect there are better approaches, and I'm just beginning to understand how inventive you can get by chaining tasks, using groups and chords, etc. Hope this helps at least get you thinking about some of the possibilities. I'll leave it to others to recommend best practices.

Customizing Surf Platform Root-Scoped API

I want to customize Surf Platform Root-Scoped API specifically user object. That means add new property or method to user object to check the user is in certain group in header.inc.ftl [in share] like `<#if user.isAdmin>
How can I implement this?
Is Alfresco Root Scoped Objects can be used as Surf Platform Root-Scoped object?
I have no idea of customizing surf platform root object. Can anyone help me???
Not quite sure what you are trying to accomplish, but the role security model is hardcoded in spring-surf/spring webscripts. There is guest, user and admin. If what you want is another analogous role you'll have to hack the spring-surf libaries, namely:

This is what I had to do to implement user.isEmployee. This approach allows you to literally treat your new role just as the others.
you can use

in page descriptors or
<item type="link" permission="employee" id="people">/people-finder</item>
on the navigation.
Just checking whether the user is in a certain group in a certain webscript is a whole diffrent story and does not provide the same functionality.
If what you want is the latter, you should make a call to
/alfresco/service/api/groups/{shortName}

Sorry, i noticed now you was talking about Surf Platform root objects, but the link you put there, is deprecated for Alfresco versions above 3.3. You still use something so old?
If you manage to use JavaScript API's you could use "person" root object, with boolean isAdmin().

How to connect ITK with VTK?

I'm reading DICOM series using itk and converting them into VTK for visualization purposes. Even though I manage to visualize DICOM series in 3 different windows with 3 different orientations (XY, XZ and YZ) I can't even click on the windows. When I click or try to change the slice viewed, my code gives an access violation error. I'm using ImageViewer2 to visualize the slices. A file called itkVTKImageExportBase.cxx is opened when I try to find out what the error is. The lines referred to are:

I don't have an exact answer to your question, but have you considered using one of the common medical image processing frameworks? There are a couple of them like MITK (mitk.org) or Slicer3D (slicer.org). They do a great job of linking together ITK, VTK and a sophisticated GUI Framework like QT (in the MITK case).
I have worked a long time in medical image processing and used MITK extensively. In my opinion, using a medical image processing framework really helps you focus on your real image processing problems, rather than trying to build processing/visualization pipelines for different types of visualizations.
If you look at InsightApplications, there are two methods:
The same as you tried, which is here, or
This one, which creates a pipeline object that can be connected on both sides. We're actually using this, and it works out quite well for us. You can copy this class into your code and use it.
There are some interesting usage examples in there too. Take a look at them and see if you can modify anything for your requirement.
Classes in the ITKVTkGlue module can be used to convert an ITK image to in a pipeline. See the tests for examples of how the classes are applied.
