Nbconvert and voila no ipywidgets - jupyter

we are currently using JupyterHub for our team of mostly non programmers. ( Zero to JupyterHub with Kubernetes).
We want to use voila to provide the notebooks as web apps. We have installed it on the server and it runs with a reverse proxy (jupyter-server-proxy), witch works fine.
However, Voila does not display everything from the notebooks. Markdown, HTML elements, normal output and plots (Seaborn) are displayed without problems.
Unfortunately, no ipywidgets are displayed. Instead, only an empty output is displayed.
I also tried nbconvert alone with jupyter nbconvert --to html with the same result.
This is what I get with voila:
Voila output
This is what I get with only nbconvert:

Kernel Dies After Running First Cell

I am having issues with a specific kernel dying no matter the code I attempt to run.
I have jupyter notebooks installed in my base environment, so that when opening a script, I can toggle between environments (kernels) of my choosing via ipykernel. I can open Jupyter Notebooks and change the kernel from the default (Python 3) to the environment I want (named myenv). However, if I try to run any cell with the myenv kernel, I get the error message:
Kernel appears to have died. It will restart automatically.
The cell I was attempting to run was this:
from scipy import interpolate
import xarray as xr
import numpy as np
import proplot as pplt
%config InlineBackend.figure_format = 'retina'
import warnings
warnings.filterwarnings('ignore')
I tried running even simpler commands like just
import numpy, but the same error persists, despite having the previously specified packages installed.
Here is the conda list for my base environment:

Ubuntu installation gets stuck very early on. Current list of packages and confirmation that Tesseract and Leptonica seems to be installed correctly. Any clues appreciated?

Problem resolved after rebooting the machine. Not sure why this worked, other than I'd installed a lot of packages to get to this stage, and maybe something required a restart to complete the installation? If anyone can explain the problem, I'd be interested to understand why that might be?

Meteor package update broke SSR

I was having an issue with Facebook login, and found this.
Updating meteor and all the packages to the latest version fixed the Facebook login issue, but then I've found out that server-side rendering stopped working. I'm using FlowRouter.
I tried a different approach and instead of upgrading meteor and all the packages, I just upgraded accounts-facebook to version 1.0.12.
meteor add accounts-facebook#1.0.12
Meteor just doesn't upgrade account-facebook package, it does it do a bunch of other packages (probably to keep dependencies right), so after running the last command, this is what have changed:
accounts-base upgraded from 1.2.12_1 to 1.2.14
accounts-facebook upgraded from 1.0.10 to 1.0.12
accounts-oauth upgraded from 1.1.13 to 1.1.15
babel-compiler upgraded from 6.9.1_1 to 6.13.0
babel-runtime upgraded from 0.1.11_1 to 0.1.12

binary-heap upgraded from 1.0.9 to 1.0.10
boilerplate-generator upgraded from 1.0.10 to 1.0.11
callback-hook upgraded from 1.0.9 to 1.0.10
check upgraded from 1.2.3 to 1.2.4
ddp-rate-limiter upgraded from 1.0.5 to 1.0.6
diff-sequence upgraded from 1.0.6 to 1.0.7
ecmascript upgraded from 0.5.8_1 to 0.5.9
ecmascript-runtime upgraded from 0.3.14_1 to 0.3.15
ejson upgraded from 1.0.12 to 1.0.13
es5-shim upgraded from 4.6.14_1 to 4.6.15

http upgraded from 1.2.9_1 to 1.2.10
id-map upgraded from 1.0.8 to 1.0.9
localstorage upgraded from 1.0.11 to 1.0.12

underscore upgraded from 1.0.9 to 1.0.10
url upgraded from 1.0.10 to 1.0.11
webapp upgraded from 1.3.11_1 to 1.3.12
Like the first approach, Facebook login issue has been fixed but lost SSR along the way.
Now, what could possibly be the best solution to keep both (Facebook login and SSR) working?
Thanks.
So here's how to fix:
clone a copy of the facebook package folder from Meteor 1.4.1.3 (in my case) into packages/facebook folder within the app;
apply commits meteor/meteor#873f13d and meteor/meteor#2c5dda1.

Ionic 2 is not working in local machine

I tried to run the ionic 2 basic application from my ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS machine. After ionic serve command.
It's showing up to this message ,nothing is building after this message
> ionic-app-base# ionic:serve /home/USER_NAME/Desktop/training/ionicProject/testProject
> ionic-app-scripts serve "--v2" "--address" "0.0.0.0" "--port" "8100" "--livereload-port" "35729"

ios-sim version: Not installed

Node Version: v6.10.1
Xcode version: Not installed
Can you check the app-scripts version in your package.json file.
Make it to "#ionic/app-scripts": "1.1.4" if not already. Try running npm install again inside your app folder. Run ionic serve again.
I was having the same issue, I tried all versions of ionic/app-scripts 1.0.0 and above. the versions that work for me are 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 .
Try changing ionic/app-script version in package.json to 1.0.0 or 1.0.1
Then run npm install in your app folder
ionic serve (using sudo is not necessary.)
