Cannot open connection after connecting to Postgres 15 using Navicat Premium - postgresql

I've encountered into a connection issue between PostgreSQL 15 and Navicat 15.
My environment is:
Windows 10
PostgreSQL 15
Navicat Premium 15.0.16 (Activated)
How to produce:
Open 'New Connection' dialog. (Files -> New Connection -> PostgreSQL...)
Put information in fields.
Check if 'Test Connection' works. (It works on my end as well.)
Click 'OK'
In the list of connections, double-click the connection.
Expected:
Should be able to open the connection.
Actual:
It says the following message on an error dialog.
ERROR: column "datlastsysoid" does not exist
LINE 1: SELECT DISTINCT datlastsysoid FROM pg_database

The error goes away if you upgrade to latest Navicat version. Version 16.1.5 definitely fixes this issue.

Why is pg_restore returning successfully but not actually restoring my database? PostgreSQL 9.5

I'm trying to use PostgreSQL 9.5 with pgAdmin 4 (I would prefer to use pgAdmin 3 but I get the following message when trying to connect to my database:
"Warning:
The server you are connecting to is not a version that is supported by this release of pgAdmin III.
pgAdmin III may not function as expected.
Supported server versions are 8.4 to 9.3")
So I'm forced to use pgAdmin 4. However, when I restore (like I usually do on pgAdmin III) I get a 'successful' restore but no data is actually restored into the tables.
If I click on the details of the 'successful' restore I am presented with this:
"1. pg_restore: connecting to database for restore"
How do I fix this issue?
Would you provide pgAdmin4 logs after running restore?
pgAdmin4 Log location:
Linux:
~/.pgadmin/pgAdmin4.log
~/.pgadmin/job_logs/
Windows:
%appdata%\pgAdmin\pgAdmin4.log
%appdata%\pgAdmin\job_logs\
Note: Do not close Success dialog in pgAdmin4 after restore otherwise once you acknowledge the success dialog, pgAdmin4 will delete respective job log files from "job_logs" directory & also delete "pgAdmin4.log" before running restore to trim unwanted logs.

pgadmin4 query tool always comes back not connected

Q: How can I diagnose and correct problems with the Query tool connection.
Using pgAdmin4 1.0-rc1 to connect to a local host "PostgreSQL 9.5.3, compiled by Visual C++ build 18..."
I can connect and drill down to my schema. I use the context menu to select 'Query tool'. The editor shows the correct database#host:port in the editor header bar.
When I execute a simple query, or any query
select 1 as first;
I get the message
"Not conencted to the server or the connection to the server has been closed.
instead of the expected results.
The editor alwa
This issue has been resolved now,
Upgrade pgAdmin4 to version 1.3. https://www.pgadmin.org/download/
All you have to do is wrap the schema, table, column names with double quotation marks in every sentence.

Mysql Workbench error 1142 "Error querying security information" on Data Export

yesterday I updated my Workbench to the latest version available, the 6.3.6 build 511 CE on Windows 10.
Now I'm trying to make a dump of a remote database via the "Data Export" feature, which has always worked.
But, as soon as I click the "Start Export" button, I get this error:
Unhandled exception: Error querying security information: Error
executing 'SELECT * FROM mysql.user WHERE user = '[username]' and
Host = '[host]' ORDER BY User, Host'
SELECT command denied to user '[username]'#'[host]' for table 'user'
SQL Error: 1142
I know that I don't have the permissions to read that table, but why is that needed to perform a data export?
I've tried to check the force option (Continue even if we get an sql-error) but it's still not working.
Is this a Workbench bug? Or is there any way to avoid this query?
I had this exact same issue. The solution provided in this thread (same as the_nuts answer) is to uninstall 6.3.6 and install 6.3.4 from the archived versions: https://downloads.mysql.com/archives/workbench/
Update as of 13th June 2016
This bug has now been fixed
Download 6.3.7 (or later if available) from here
Found, this is indeed a bug of the version 6.3.6:
MySQL Bugs: #79807: Workbench Data Export: Unhandled exception: Error querying security information
MySQL Workbench has the correct behavior. If you are using a user other than 'root' MySQL Workbench will display that alert. However, if you setup your access to the server and database as root you will not run into problems exporting/importing because you have the right access to do so.

Error while starting HCK studio on server 2008 r2

When I try to open HCK studio, it shows an error:
Error: Failed to connect to database. Failed to connect to OM.
I tried the solution mentioned here:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsdesktop/en-US/0371abd0-9d9b-427d-95b1-8a57ee69b50a/error-failed-to-connect-to-database-failed-to-connect-to-om?forum=whck
It did not solve my problem.
Under HCK Manager ->Tools -> Management Console ->
"Datastore" is missing in my case. How to create new one (if possible)? and I don't know which user had installed HCK on server pc.
And any one can tell me the Server role required for driver testing on SQL Server manager? ...
Database name cannot be greater then 15 characters.
If your controller name is greater then 15 characters you must be facing the same problem as mine.

MySQL Workbench GUI connection failure

I'm using MySQL Workbench to interface with a remote database. When I configure the settings for the connection and click 'Test Connection', it displays a success dialog. Furthermore, if I right click the connection and select 'Start Command Line Client', everything is golden.
However, when I click the connection to use the GUI it displays a failure dialog 'Cannot Connect to Database Server'.
How might I resolve this issue?
Can you execute following commands using MySQL command line:
SHOW CREATE TABLE mysql.user;
SHOW VARIABLES LIKE '%char%';
If you cannot execute those without any error, that means you have a permission problem with your user.
May be your problem is the same problem mentioned here http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=50024
