Just upgraded to Joomla 4 this week and everything seemed ok but a problem appeared in that once logged in you get an not found error page when logging out. It seems the site is redirecting to the home page adding in the subdirectory tohi which it should not include. It should redirect to torontohiking.com without the "tohi".
Errors noted by users:
“And I noticed that your homepage showing 404 error https://www.torontohiking.com/tohi/”
“I clicked the "Logout" link, the ToHi site redirected me to the following URL: "https://www.torontohiking.com/tohi/index.php” Deleting the tohi gave me the home page
The login link works and redirects properly but the logout link gives the not found error page. I've tried various menu links and internal urls. Removing tohi from the logout link
finally logs one out. Not sure what direction to go in.
I did a lot of Google searching on the topic but nothing relatable came up
I've tried various menu links and internal and external urls. Removing tohi from the logout link
finally logs one out. Not sure what direction to go in.
I'm thinking maybe installing a redirect extension could help

I am working on ponds site and want to open the below mentioned url: www.ponds.co.id/Products/Category/Whitening-2.aspx
But this page is always redirected to default page : www.ponds.co.id.
How can i stop this redirection in dnn?
Thanks,
#John - Without some more info this is a bit hard to diagnose. Things I would check:
That the page settings does not have a redirect to the home
That the page allows visitors (i.e. security is not restricting them)
That you are not getting some errors in the event viewer that would explain it.
I'm sharing content from a website and every time I paste the link into Facebook it says 'page not found'.
Sometimes it works when I manually add the 'www.' in front of the URL in the address bar.
EXAMPLE
Shows page not found:
http://roundreviews.co.uk/reviews/speakers/native-union-monocle-speaker/
Works when you manually place www. in front:
www.roundreviews.co.uk/reviews/speakers/native-union-monocle-speaker/
I honestly have no I idea why it's doing this, any thoughts on how it can be fixed on the web side?
Also...
I have tried with the link below with both the www. and without yet it doesn't work with either of them, this is all very strange. This is the only link I have tried and it doesn't work with both:
www.roundreviews.co.uk/microphones/spark-digital-microphone/
Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
For me what it worked was to access the Facebook Debugger, as Goose said.
I saw that the scrape was about 12 hours ago, looks like it fetches the first time and saves it as caché or whatsoever...
What it worked for me is to debug the url, then click "fetch new scrape information" after the previous information has been shown.
Hope it works!
For those running across this today, you might find that you also need to verify your domain and link it to your page.
To do this you need to
Set up a Facebook Business Account
Add your page to the business account
Verify your domain (using DNS TXT or adding a page facebook gives you)
Under domains, connect your page as an asset of that domain
One of my pages in my domain is set up as a redirect from aweber, so when I confirm on the link on an email optin from aweber it redirects to this page MyPage.html and includes a welcome message with the name I signed up with.
Now granted I am not sure if this is something to do with aweber set up for redirect although it's very easy to do (basically paste the URL in settings you want to redirect to) and I have double/triple checked it. I also contacted aweber support who said it can be the javascript for personalisation embedded in the Head section of the redirect page that can cause this error. I have removed this code and can confirm it is not the javascript or redirect causing it hence my appearance here.
I also have another portion of the site using this redirect and personalisation and it works fine.
Now when I click on the link in my email from aweber it gives me this error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /mypage.html on this server.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an >ErrorDocument to handle the request.
And the redirect URL is below so I can see it is redirecting with my details ok but failing to give me access to the page.
mysite.com/mypage.html?email=myemail%40yahoo.co.uk&from=myemail%40yahoo.co.uk&meta_adtracking=my_web_site&meta_message=1001&name=MyName&unit=MyAweberListName&add_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.MySite.com%2FthankyouPage.html&add_notes=xx.xx.xx.xxx
All my pages have access permission 644 and the page is a copy of one of my other pages, which works fine, I've not added anything, changed anything, only removed text lines and graphics.
I just also tried remaking the landing page and it failed once more. Funnily enough though when I manually type the page into the URL bar up it comes; this worked before with the original page as well!
This works:
mysite.com/mypage.html
This [redirect] doesn't and gives the error described above
mysite.com/mypage.html?email=myemail%40yahoo.co.uk&from=myemail%40yahoo.co.uk&meta_adtracking=my_web_site&meta_message=1001&name=MyName&unit=MyAweberListName&add_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.MySite.com%2FthankyouPage.html&add_notes=xx.xx.xx.xxx
Any ideas on getting to the bottom of this would be greatly appreciated.
Host is hostgator
I created the simplest app ever - I basically just want to iframe my website paleoitforward.com.
>> Here is a screenshot of my app settings
However, I get an error message on the page. You can see it in action here:
http://facebook.com/heathercashart/app_337591392998654
In Chrome, I get the message "This webpage is not available"
In Firefox, I get the message "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost."
Localhost... how weird?
I can't figure out why it won't load, and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot it :-/
The site loads over HTTPS fine, so HTTPS is not the problem.
Also - FYI - I am a n00b at this Facebook app stuffs... :)
Thanks,
Heather
Ok, I am not exactly sure what fixed this, but I was basically just messing around changing the URL's (adding http, removing http, adding trailing slash, removing it...) and all of a sudden it worked!
Here are the URLs I used that ended up working in case anyone has this problem in the future (make sure you pay close attention to http/https and trailing slashes!):
App domains: paleoitforward.com
Website with Facebook Login
Site URL: http://paleoitforward.com
Page Tab
Page Tab URL: https://paleoitforward.com
Secure Page Tab URL: https://paleoitfoward.com/
Page Tab Edit URL: https://paleoitfoward.com/
In your app settings (the screenshot shows it) you wrote paleoitfoward.com in your page tab settings – missing the R in foRRRRRRRRRRward …
Live is easier if one can read, believe you me :-)
I recently created a new app and added it to an existing page using the following:
http://facebook.com/add.php?api_key=APP_ID&pages=1&page=PAGE_ID
Now randomly when i am logged in and go to my page i get the following error:
The page you requested was not found.
You may have clicked an expired link or mistyped the address. Some web addresses are case sensitive.
Has anyone else found the same issue?
I have been reading some posts and i think it might have to do with the way the app was added to my page. Not entirely sure though.
HELP :)
I don't think it's connected to how you added it but here is another option to add app to page:
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=YOUR_APP_ID&display=popup&next=YOUR_URL
Change YOUR_URL with the url in app settings Page Tab URL.
