How do I delete a Discipline in EPF Composer 1.5? - eclipse

I'm making a method combining Scrum with the OpenUP lifecycle and deliverables. I also want to keep the OpenUP disciplines apart from "Project Management". I can "hide" it so that it's not immediately obvious in my generated method site. But when you then navigate to the "Risk List" artefact for example the PM is still seen as contributing, and if you click on the link, you get taken to the PM Discipline page.
How can I remove it completely from my method without deleting it from the OpenUP library which I'm consuming?

I've never used EPF Composer.
I did a little bit of google searches and I understand what you are looking for can be done through Configurations (select OpenUP in your Library view) and published View definitions.

Typo3 Workspace elements not shown in preview

First foremost: I am aware that this is not a general Typo3 bug/error per se, as I have working installations. I am hoping for hints/help in finding the error in this installation, as it's way too big to just set it up as a new installation.
I have an erronous Typo3 10.4.17 installation (updated to 10.4.x, no fresh install)
Problem: Edited elements in workspace are not shown in the Frontend preview (opened via "Show webpage" or other basic means in BE) nor in the BE View-module.
Additional info #1: They are however shown when preview links are generated via "Generate page preview links" and those are viewed.
Additional info #2: Changed elements only become visible after publishing them & clearing Cache
Additional info #3: Clearing any Cache does not make them visible in the preview
After comparing all settings I could think of to another working installation I decided to delve into the core in search for a hint/solution and got stuck there at following point:

At this point my edited workspace version of the element does get retrieved. selectVersionsInWorkspace() does get called when viewing the preview.
While the PreviewController does not further filter the staged elements, they are not displayed in the Preview.
I am looking for any hint as to where selectVersionsInWorkspace() might still be filtered or other hints as to possible reasons/solutions for this problem that I may have overlooked.
Just when I decided to post to SO a co-worker found the reason...
As it's a big installation we use a dev-domain as admins and each website (over 100) have their own domains which are also set as base in the Site-config.
Only when the preview is opened as either the base or a baseVariant the workspace-elements are displayed at all. In older version the elements would still be displayed when opened via other associated domains, just sometimes not 100% accurately.
Letting this stay in case anyone ever has a similar problem and is hopefully able to find this.

Liferay 7.2 Customize Documents And Media Porlet

I have Liferay 7.2
I want to customize the html of the layout of the widget Documents AND Media
I tried to create a hook to document and media but it seems that is not the right way.
How can i do that?
First, the fact that you're talking about a hook tells me that you're coming from Liferay 6 or earlier. Forget the old module types ("war-style modules"), embrace the new "jar-style modules" or "OSGi modules", which leverage the OSGi methods and mechanisms in the foundation. The new module type that comes closest to the functionality of hooks would be a "module fragment".
Alternatively, if you want to create one module that overrides the JSPs of more than one other module (or overrides JSPs as a side effect to its main purpose), you may want to look into "JSP Bags".
Still, both methods are discouraged and should be taken as a last resort, according to Liferay's "Introduction to Customizing JSPs".
The preferred method would be to use Dynamic Includes (albeit they only work if the target portlet has been written to include inclusion points) or Portlet Filters (which basically allow you to programmatically edit the request to and response from the standard Portlet classes and JSPs).
Still, if you're aiming to replace most of the JSPs of the standard document and media widget (keep in mind: Widgets are still Portlets, they just have been renamed in the frontend), a module fragment still seems to the best way forward.
To identify the correct module, here are the necessary steps. I'll show it using the DLAdmin portlet from the control panel as an example:
Identify the portlet you want to edit: Look into the HTML using the DOM inspector of your browser. Look for section tags with IDs like <section class="portlet" id="portlet_com_liferay_document_library_web_portlet_DLAdminPortlet"> around the area of interest.
Now translate that ID into a package path with portlet class: com.liferay.document.library.web.portlet.DLAdminPortlet. Search for that class in the Liferay github repository. (Go there, press T, enter the class name, find its Java class source file. In case of multiple hits, you need to check the package path, too.)
Once you opened the source file, go back up in the file tree to the parent folder of the src folder. There's a bnd.bnd file. Take a look into it, it will tell you the Bundle-SymbolicName.
Use the Liferay IDE or Blade CLI (depending on your development environment) to create a module fragment for the module identified by the Bundle-SymbolicName.

Looking for an Extension of an extensive link list

For the construction of an extensive list of links, since the source page is a thematic portal, I am looking for a suitable EXT., Which also runs under TYPO3 7.6 LTS.
it if the list of links to a permits the use of categories and multiple categorization of links is possible would be nice. should Weiterrhin the links are described not only the destination address and an alias but here should still an outline of the target page (possibly with photo) be possible.
Additional functions such as proposing links by users, reporting broken links or even a User Voting would nice additional features.
There were times the Modern Linklist, but they were no longer being developed for TYPO3 <6.x.
Is there perhaps somewhere an alternative or as one might like to vorhnandenen solutions might realize? It would be nice of course, without any programming knowledge, since I'm not a programmer.
P.S .: It is not about building a spam list but high quality links with topics relating to the original page.
As this seems to be a straight forward usage you could try to build that extension by yourself with the ExtensionBuilder.
just build up the records neccessary for your data. and let the EB generate all usefull actions: list & show, even create, edit, delete in FE would be possible.
Afterwards you just need to edit the generated fluid templates.

I`m not aware of an existing extension for it but it could be a good project to learn extbase / fluid.

Fluid Content contains everything you need to create a list like that, you "just" have to combine the necessary bits and pieces.
You can do a lot with TYPO3 core functionality: there is a page type "external URL", pages can have categories by default, there are plenty of menu options (TypoScript HMENU, menu content elements, Fluid menu Viewhelpers). The Linkvalidator can periodically check all links and report broken links.
For suggestions you could add a form. Powermail for example can also store submitted info in database records, so your visitors could prepare page records (they are hidden until you make them visible).

GWT Lazy Loading

I want to develop a GWT application. The application contains 8 modules and all the modules run in a single page.
I have links for all the 7 options on the top.
When the page loads I want only the home content to be loaded and displayed.
Only when the user clicks the menu options, the menu content should load.
Can anyone suggest the best way to achieve this.
This has been addressed in GWT 2.0... First you'll remove the separate entry points you have for each module - since they're all on the same page, you only need one entry point per page.
Then you can use the GWT.runAsync() method at each point that you feel can be a split... it automatically cuts up the code into chunks that are downloaded as and when necessary.

AFAIK, lazily loaded (or pluggable) modules can't be done in GWT. Partly this is due to the way the GWT compiler works - it likes to import all the code that it is ever going to see and then optimises and prunes it as viciously as possible (to make the resulting JS files as small and lead as possible). If it doesn't have access to all the source code up front, it might make optimisations that will break the pluggable modules (especially since nothing in the "core" application may reference the classes that the lazily-loaded modules need to work properly - the GWT compiler would prune those "unused" classes in the core module).
This stackoverflow question from May 09 asks the same thing and has the same answer - it can't be done.
I searched high and low about six months ago for an answer to this problem, because I really wanted to do what I believe you're asking for. Never found a solution.
(I haven't used GWT 2.0 - it might have addressed the issue)
Thank you for your answer. You are right that the whole Javascript code gets downloaded.
But there must be a way like say on of module is View Profile. Only when the user clicks the view Profile link, the widgets related to displaying my profile needs to be created. is this not possible.

Difference between components, modules, extensions and plugins in Joomla

What is the difference between Joomla components, modules, extensions and plugins?
Plugins
Plugins enable you to execute code in response to certain events, either Joomla core events or custom events that are triggered from your own code. This is a powerful way of extending the basic Joomla functionality.
Components
Components are the main functional units that display in your template, like the content management system, contact forms, Web Links and the like. They are usually displayed in the center of the main content area of a template (depending on the template).
Modules
A more lightweight and flexible extension used for page rendering is a module. Modules are used for small bits of the page that are generally less complex and able to be seen across different components. Sometimes modules are linked to a component such as the core latest news module.
Extensions
Components, languages, modules, plugins and templates collectively known as Extensions.

Components
A component is a separate application. You can think of a component as something that has its own functionality, its own database and its own presentation.
So, if you install a component, you add an application to your website. Examples of components are

a community system

You could think of all of these as being a separate application. Each of these would make perfectly sense as a stand-alone system.
A component will be shown in the main part of your website and only one component will be shown. A menu is then nothing more than a switch between different components. You can compare it a bit with your windows taskbar, where you see a tab for each open application.
Modules
Modules are extensions which present certain pieces of information on your site. It's a way of presenting information that is already present. This can add a new function to an application, which was already part of your website.

Typically, you'll have a number of modules on each web page.
The difference between a component and a module is not always very clear. A module doesn't make sense as a standalone application, it will just present information or add a function to an existing application.
Take a newsletter for instance. A newsletter is a component. You can have a website which is used as a newsletter only. That makes perfectly sense. Although a newsletter component probably will have a subscription page integrated, you might want to add a subscription module on a sidebar on every page of your website. You can put this subscribe module anywhere on your site. You'll probably agree with me that a site with just a subscription module and no actual newsletter component would be rather ridiculous.
Plugins
They used to be called mambots in Joomla 1.0.x, but since Joomla 1.5.x they're called plugins. A plugin is a function which is performed on a part of Joomla before this part is shown. This part can be on content, on the editor, on the complete system, etc. This might seem a bit abstract, but you'll understand it with an example.
Let's take one of the plugins of Ulti Joomla as an example: Ulti Reflection. This is a plugin which can make a reflection of the images you use in your content articles. To use this you just have to put something like
inside your content. Before the content is shown to the user, the Ulti Reflection plugin will scan the content to find the {reflection} tag. If it finds the tag, it will replace the tag with the image and its reflection.
Be carefull not to put to many plugins one your website, because some of them can really slow down your site.
If the difference between the three types of extensions is still not completely clear, then I advice you to go to admin pages of your joomla installation and check the components menu, the module manager and the plugin manager. Joomla comes with a number of core components, modules and plugins. By checking what they're doing, the difference between the three types of building blocks should become clear. You can also check out the official Joomla extensions page. Browse through the extension categories and you'll be amazed about the extension possiblities you have for your site.

Plugins operate behind the scenes and can do a multitude of things, like replacing content with other content, perform searches, perform login/logout functions, or anything really tricky that you can imagine.
There can only ever be one component on a page. When you choose menu items, you are actually choosing the component that you wish a page to display. The variables for the component are stored once (in the database), so you can't have multiple instances of the component!
On the other hand, modules are added multiple times. You can have many modules on the one page. In fact, you could have 100 instances of the same module on the one page. The variables for a module are stored against each instance. (in the database).
This is why joomla templates have one place holder for a component, and many place holders for modules.
A module can be added to an individual page (menu item) , or seleceted pages, or all pages.
Remember that a menu item is indeed a component choice. Each menu item does store variables in the database, so it is possible to feed the component display details. E.g. what page id the content component is to display.
In the back end, components can have many backend settings and functions, and "do" many more things than a module.
Examples of a component are:

Unless you understand the difference between a module and a component, you will find it very difficult to administer your Joomla installation.
Modules
Modules are usually small pieces of functionality designed to present information in your site. They can appear a number of times, on a number of pages in various positions. On the contrary components are a full blown application, usually quite complex and are to the main body if a page. Also each module can be viewed in various pages, and the position of each module can be easily changed. You are allowed to select the menu items where a module is displayed. A good example of the usage of this functionality is targeted advertising. If your site has various sections, you can create module for each section. Each module will contain a targeted advert for the section. Now instead of showing all the modules, all the time, you customise the visibility of the module such that each advert is displayed only in the relevant menu links. Typical examples of standard Joomla modules are : Main / User / Top and other menus, Latest News, Popular Articles, Polls, Login Form, Syndication Details etc.
Components
On the other hand, a Joomla component is typically more complex, with extensive functionality and capabilities. A component can only be displayed in the main area of a page, and can only be displayed in a single page (usually). Links to components are usually done by creating menu items. Components usually have a particular page or pages for their configuration.
Extensions
Joomla extensions extend the functionality of Joomla websites. Five types of extensions may be distinguished: components, modules, plugins, templates, and languages. Each of these extensions handles a specific function.
