I am trying to upload a image which i am clicking with the help of the camera. I am trying the following code to upload the image to the remote server.

But nothing is getting posted. Nothing comes in the console window also. I am calling this method in the action sheet. When the user clicks on the 1st button of the action sheet this method is called to post the image.

You can use the libraries from a third party called asi-http-request. It simplyfies for you most of the hard works. In your case, you just do as the following:

If I gave 'abcd' as password connection is successfully is displaying. If I gave wrong password connection successfully is displaying. How can I solve the issue? If I gave wrong password need to display an alert.
This control structure here is the problem:

This doesn't check for a bad connection, this checks whether or not the connection object is equal to 0 (nil). Obviously, having initialized it on the line above, the else statement will always log, giving you the false impression that your connection had succeeded. You should become the connection's delegate, and respond to the appropriate delegate methods instead.
The issue may be with the url you are using
Fire the url in the browser and see what it returnes
try add the url params with single quotes accesscode='abcd'
It is not a good practice to pass the credentials via this way.
You could use POST method with some valid encryption to prevent the security issues that can occur

This is my first IOS project. Having a tough time getting login to work. The site has a meta_refresh to another url. I've tried to send another request to the url in the meta_refresh but then the app just hangs. I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong but I'm using XCode 4.4 so a lot of the NSURLConnection delegate methods have been deprecated.

Another question is that I've read that I should use asynchronous connection. The trouble is that I need the data scraped from the site to display on the screen. If I display the screen before the data is returned, then I won't have any data -- or am I not understanding how this works?

I think that maybe you're a mixing stuff. You're setting a string url with GET values and then you set the HTTPMethod to POST and I don't know if that is going to work fine.

Without knowing more about the API, I can't be certain about your requirements, but it seems that the server is expecting the request to contain JSON. The way you currently are creating the body for the request is using standard POST variables.
Have you tried changing:

Regarding your other questions, I'm guessing that there is a single URL for the API. The methodidentifier is used by the server in order to determine which server method(s) to run.
You get this error because you do not get a json as a response, but an error from Apache (or whatever), that has different structure, and json cannot parse it. Try my method to initiate the connection, in order to gain a successful one.

It is not clear from your question what is your issue with that.
Anyway, are you doing also:
[m_URLConnection start];
after creating the connection?
Alternatively, you could create the connection using
[– initWithRequest:delegate:startImmediately:][1]
which allows you to specify that the loading of data shall start immediately.
Also consider using [+sendAsynchronousRequest:queue:completionHandler:][2] as a convenience constructor for your connection.
The Webservice URL you are trying to hit is seem to be using SSL. You may need to put access token in request header in order to get the proper response from web service.
