3.2 did not have a Leopard compatible version.
XCode 3.1.4 with the OS 3.1.3 SDK is Leopard compatible. You can download it here:

Right,
I am running XCode 3.2.3 with the iPhone 4 SDK. I have paid apple and enrolled, added my certificates and provisioning profiles. Now, I have plugged my iPod into Xcode and clicked "Use for development". My iPhone is running iOS 4.1 and Xcode says -
The version of iPhone OS on “” does
not match any of the versions of
iPhone OS supported for development
with this installation of the iPhone
SDK. Please restore the device to a
version of the OS listed below, or
update to the latest version of the
iPhone SDK; which is available here.

So do I need to download the whole XCode and iPhone SDK package again?
Will updating the SDK screw with my app?
Cheers!
You have to update your XCode to latest version. Along with that iOS will be upgraded to 4.1 automatically.
your app won't get screwed up.
I just went through the whole certificate/keychain/provisioning/appID/profile/DNA test process to get my app running on my iPhone. Turns out my iPhone OS was out of date (3.0.1 I think), so I updated it. Now it says
The version of iPhone OS on “Stefanie's phone” does not match any of the versions of iPhone OS supported for development with this copy of Xcode. Please restore the device to a version of the OS listed below. If necessary, the latest version of Xcode is available here.

But I have Xcode 3.2.1, which is supposed to support iPhone OS 3.1.3. What am I doing wrong? I have a cruddy internet connection (HughesNet), so I can't upgrade the Xcode SDK without it taking literally days.
I have good news and bad news. The good news is that this is easily fixable. The bad news is that the fix is downloading the whole freaking package. I'm not sure why you can't just download the SDK and leave XCode alone, but Apple only supplies the SDK with all of XCode bundled with it - and the SDK version has to be greater than or equal to the version of your iPhone firmware.
Kind of a pain when dev builds come out every 2 weeks.
What can I do?? I just upgraded my iPhone OS but now my Xcode can't
run things on it.
(and the newest Xcode on the apple site is like a beta version or something)
The latest SDK is 3.1.3.

Apple released iPhone SDK for Mac OS 10.6.x and I only have 10.5 and have no plans to upgrade, so I wonder how can I trick for latest iPhone SDK the version number that is 10.6?
I suspect you will find that the reason for the minimum version requirement is that the iPhone SDK uses features that exist only on 10.6, and will not run correctly on 10.5.
I downloaded iPhone SDK 3.1 with Xcode 3.2 for Snow Leopard from Apple, but when I go to install it, it says it's installing iPhone SDK 3.0.
How can I find iPhone SDK 3.1? I can't get any apps on my phone until I upgrade my SDK because my iPhone is on 3.1.
In the Organizer it says the OS installed on my phone is 3.1 (7C114) and the XCode supported iPhone OS versions are 3.0 (7A341) and the older ones.
I've downloaded the package from Apple twice now, but both times the package only indicates it is installing iPhone 3.0.
Is there a way to find the 3.1SDK separately?
Thank you,
Elisabeth
You need to download the 3.1 sdk from the iphone apple developer connection
The xcode 3.2 download DOES NOT include the iphone 3.1 sdk
Ah, I figured it out. In the install package it lists the 3.1SDK only as "iphone SDK". Since I already have 3.0 and 2.1 installed, I'm deselecting those and installing only the 3.1SDK.
