Turning additional strings in this JSON array into a UITableView Detail - iphone

I have a NSURL request that brings back an array of "name" and "phone", "etc"... The "name" Key shows up fine on the master table, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the rest of the array to show up on the detail table when I select the row. (I have the DetailerTableViewController working to accept the view). Any help would be appreciated.

You need to implement:
- (void)tableView:(UITableView *)aTableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
to handle row selection and to push the view controller for the detail view.

You're returning the cell twice in the same scope, try to delete the first return cell;, also you're calling reloadData on the table just before the for loop; in this case probably the dataSource of the table is still empty, so call reloadData just after the for loop.
EDIT:
It's strange what is happening, the objectFromString must return a NSArray or a NSDictionary but it seems that is pointing to an NSSet. I can suggest 2 things in addition:
It seems that you're not usig ARC since you're calling autorelease on the UITableViewCell. In this case you're leaking parser and json_string in the viewDidLoad, so release them.
Make sure to call [super viewDidLoad]; (you're not doing this in your code).
Maybe because you set the type of obj as id. It is too generic and may not know how to respond to valueForKey. Have you tried declaring obj as an NSDictionary * instead? Like the code below:

Yes I was thinking right, statuses is not NSArray, it is NSSet so if you call objectAtIndex on NSSet it will crash.To get array convert NSSet into NSArray.

UPDATE 2: After I have seen your plist in my MAC, I have found out that we are working with array of dictionaries in your A.plist.
So I found there is a bug in our code itself. Not in the plist file and you can use your 8000 data plist too.. Its working too. I have checked out totally. Now you can get the above Code and start work with.

Loading plist in a dictonary
optional : sort it (!)
create the array of data for each section
create the array of section
Then implement the following things
viewDid load -> load the plist file in a dictionary, create an array of the sections and a dictionary of the data
numberOfSectionsInTableView -> the number of sections. In your case the number of keys
numberOfRowsInSection -> the number of rows of each section
titleForHeaderInSection -> for each section, the title of the section
cellForRowAtIndexPath -> the data of all row
sectionIndexTitlesForTableView -> the array that holds all you sections names. In your case all the keys
assuming you have a property called mySections and a property called myData
also assuming you use storyboard with standard cell with recycle identifier "Cell"

Why are you using SBJsonParser? It's easier using only -JSONValue! Look:

UITableView: use object from dictionary as title on detail view

I have the following code to make a table from string turned into a dictionary:

What I would like is for the selected row title to be set as the title on my detail view.
I tried with:
- (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
self.detailController.title = [[dict allKeys] objectAtIndex:[indexPath row]];
[self.navigationController pushViewController:self.detailController animated:YES];
}
But I get an "EXC_BAD_ACCESS" error.
It works fine if I use #"1" as title, it's just something with my dictionary call that's wrong, I assume.
Make dict a retained dictionary instead of an autoreleased one.
I.E. declare it maybe like this:
dict = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] initWithCapacity: [testArray count]];
in your viewDidLoad method. Make sure to release it when viewDidUnload is called.
Also, make sure of the number of keys in your dict before calling:
self.detailController.title = [[dict allKeys] objectAtIndex:[indexPath row]];
So, I would do:
if(dict && ([[dict allKeys] count] > [indexPath row])
{
self.detailController.title =
[[dict allKeys] objectAtIndex:[indexPath row]];
} else {
self.detailController.title = #"Here's a problem";
}
Did you implement these UITableView delegate methods ? All these are needed. Also can you post more detailed StackTrace.
