Heh guys,
is it possible to record a small voice audio on the iPhone and upload it to a server?!
Any good sources on this topic? (Audio Recording).
Thanks,
Henrik
You can find the code to record audio from
"http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/samplecode/SpeakHere/History/History.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/DTS40007802-RevisionHistory-DontLinkElementID_1" which is provided by apple.
After recording audio, you can convert it to base64 and upload it to server by web service.
Cheers,
Pragnesh

Is it possible to send audio from iphone to server in real time? I am using AQRecorder which records the data and saves it on a file.I was wondering if there was a way of sending the recorded audio to server in real time.I want to send the audio while it is being recorded. Is it possible? Can we redirect the recorded stream to the server instead of a file?
NOTE:I am using the speak here code from apple https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/samplecode/speakhere/Listings/Classes_AQRecorder_mm.html
Nate is right. A lot of legitimate apps do that. So, you don't even need to have a jailbroken device.
Take a look at this question: Live streaming audio from iPhone

I am new to iPhone Development. I need to capture video. While I'm capturing video it display on server too. Something like live streaming.
Anyone have idea from where I should have to start for this functionality?
Thanks in Advance.
Your question seems similar to this
Xcode ios: Streaming of video file while recording and removed redundant personal statements
First Half Solution
Using AVFoundation you can get video Buffer/frames while recording.
Second Half
But for uploading i didn't find any solution
There is Input Stream option there in iOS APIs but it need some file path. but as video is not recorded we didn't have any path.
Edit 1
Here is Best Example for AVFoundation provided by Apple, you can start with
I recommend you to use wowza wowza.com/https://www.wowza.com, it has all the features, from live stream, video on demand and etc.
I want to implement video streaming in my project. So, Is there any tutorial that works? Videos are stored at server side. So, to fetch video using url and play it on MPMoviePlayerViewController .
Thank You.
For video streaming in iPhone you can use ffmpeg concept.FFmpeg is a complete, cross-platform solution to record, convert and stream audio and video. It includes libavcodec - the leading audio/video codec library.Have a look at these sites for samples,
https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg

Check this solution, it's a full audio and video streamer.
I need to create a simple media player that can stream internet radio stations in WMA, MP3 and AAC formats as part of a bigger app.
I was wondering if someone could please give me some pointers on where to start and how to go about tackling each of these formats? never really handled this topic before..
Thanks!
For audio streaming on the iPhone you'll have to use the AudioQueue framework. This framework has native support for mp3 and aac but is not easy to get started with. There's an open source project by Matt Gallagher that can play mp3 and aac audio streams by using the AudioQueue framework: AudioStreamer.
If you also need to play wma audio streams you have to use the open source FFmpeg library. Decoding wma audio streams with the FFmpeg library is not that hard but integration with the AudioQueue framework for playback is not that straightforward.
If you are familiar with handling this problem in a web app, you could try having a UIWebView in your app.
So I am creating an iPhone app that records video using AVFoundation and I need to be able to stream that to a RTMP Media Server. Any ideas/thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
Jim
use Adobe flash media live encoder
Yes, this is possible by intercepting the actual captured frames and throw it into the network. Destination could be another iPhone, Android based who's able to play H264 / AAC, any computer, or streaming server like crtmpserver
Or to make your life easier you can visit www.evostream.com they offer this functionality just the way you want it customized.
Hope this helps
