Can I change the facebook connect button? - facebook

Can I change the default button of Facebook connect by an other picture ?
I am setting up the registration process of my website and would like to use the Open Graph API. The button is pretty ugly and not very user friendly do you know if I can change it by my own ?
Thank you

With the new connect-js it is quite trivial. Just attach a js click event and then call FB.login(callback)

How to set starting options in facebook messenger for pages?

Is it possible to set starting options in facebook messenger for pages like example bellow:
example of expected result
I figured that similar could be achieved by using messenger BOT with 'start button', multiple BOT replies with 'quick reply' buttons and passing conversation to live chat in required cases.
The problem with this is that after user clicks 'get started' button BOT publish text replay 'Get started' which is not desired.
I wonder if there is an build-in setting to achieve this? If not, how would one solve it?
EDIT: It seems to me, it is not possible to build something like that neither with facebook quick reply neither with templates/buttons
EDIT 2: I also tried doing this in Facebook's page settings with no result. It seems it doesn't have anything to do with Facebook's 'quick replies'
First of all there is no way to set those options from facebook platform itself. Those questions are generated by facebook to give user a head start to a conversation and those are generated based on the type of page you are created. To see the option go to
Your Page's Settings-> Messaging -> General Settings
It is ideal that you will configure the 'Get Started' to initiate conversation with your bot and then show users a bunch of options using various templates like quick replies, carousel, list etc. By this way you have full control over your templates and expected answers.
But then again if you want to use those generated options from facebook then you can look for those option's text in the delivered json to your configured web hook. Here is a sample json:
{"object":"page","entry":[{"id":"","time":1519980744192,"messaging":[{"sender":{"id":""},"recipient":{"id":""},"timestamp":1519980743903,"message":{"mid":"","seq":1,"text":"Could you give me a call? I'd like to speak to someone."}}]}]}
Look at the 'text' attribute. The text is from after clicking one of those options. But again this is not ideal as the options can get changed anytime by facebook's algorithm.
My suggestion is to use 'Get Started' button and then send a list to the user.
The screenshot you posted shows a features that is currently being tested for Pages, so it is not available to every Page. There is no built-in way to do this, other than sending quick replies in response to the get started postback, messaging_optins or messaging_referrals events.
You can create a persistent menu to achieve this.

How can I add upload Image feature to Facebook Comments Plugin?

I successfully implemented facebook comments plugin in my website. But it only allows users to post only text data.
I searched a lot but unable to find resources for these question:
How to add upload Image feature to this plugin?
Is there a way to make the uses post he comment just by pressing enter rather than clicking Post button(Remove Post button and make enter keyboard key as default submit button)
Incase the ans is No for any above questions:
Please suggest any plugin's that helps me to achieve those features. The users should be able to post comments and upload images with out signup to that plugin providers
How to add upload Image feature to this plugin?
Not possible.
Facebook has not implemented image upload for the Comments plugin, and you can not “add” anything to it yourself.
Is there a way to make the uses post he comment just by pressing enter rather than clicking Post button(Remove Post button and make enter keyboard key as default submit button)
No.
There is not configuration option for this, and since the plugin runs inside an iframe from a different domain, you don’t have any access to it via JavaScript either.
As of Sept 2010 FB has an "add image" icon on the FB plugin, but it does not work all the time. Last night it worked fine on 20 or so pages, and today on 5 more. Then just now, on a recently modified page, it no longer works. Text only.

Submitting Facebook open graph action

I am trying to submit a facebook opengraph action. It is a simple "Read" "Article" action, however when I submit it for approval facebook eventually responds with this error.
"Status: Changes needed
You are trying to submit a custom action which is not permitted. Please delete this action and submit a built-in version of this action instead.
Please make changes below and resubmit for review."
I am not sure what that means, as far as I know it is not a custom action that I created.
Click to create a new action type, and when the text box appears, start typing "read" and then select the option that drops down. That is the built-in read action.
I had the same issue, it seems FB doesn't allow to add built in actions as custom for some unknown reason, may be they have some future plan with them for AI stuff. The only the thing I see in built in read is its very limited.

Facebook Send button does not show up on Gwt popup panel?

I'm trying to get Facebook send or like button display on GWT popup panel and I am not successful. When inspecting the generated HTML, facebook HTML button looks properly inserted into but it just does not show up. Save Facebook button works well in html page (not on GWT panel).
Have you ever had success in displaying Facebook Send or Like or Share button in GWT? I know I ca implement FB Like button myself using API or other libraries. But I do it need that. I need standard Facebook Send button to be used in my GWT application.
Please advise me if you have experience and were successful.
Thank you very much!
I had a similar problem, and it was because, in the html file's script tag, I had changed and not updated the src="path" to a valid path. I had a wrong directory listed in the path. For me, it's correct now with:
<script type="text/javascript" src="clienttest/clienttest.nocache.js"></script>
I rebuilt, and the image appeared on the page. This problem was keeping the entry point module from loading.

Facebook Style Message Popup?

My site has a Send Message button next to the link to a users profile. When the user clicks on it (using the onClick handler) I want to open a Facebook-style message window, instead of a new window (window.open() method).
It doesn't have to be exactly the same as Facebook's, but I want a similar kind of thing.
Check out Jquery-UI. they have a lot of popuppable windows. Probably want to couple that with some Ajax, and bam, dynamic message popups.
