Zend Studio on Eclipse "HELIOS" - eclipse

I'm trying to install Zend Studio on an existing installation of Eclipse HELIOS, but Zend doesn't want to behave. The PDF instructions here say it's for "Eclipse Galileo version 3.5.1 only". Sure enough, I'm getting a strange error on a Helios.
Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.
I've already upgraded to Helios and don't want to go back to Galileo, so has anyone solved this problem or knows how to get around it?

Studio 7.x does not support Helios. Studio 8.x which is just about to go to beta does.

On my Linux (Ubuntu) I was able to install multiple versions of Eclipse for various purposes. You can install a new Eclipse Galileo version 3.5.1 and it should not effect your Helios.
For a good explanation of how to do this see: http://www.javalobby.org/java/forums/t18678.html

Cannot install e(fx)clipse in Eclipse Luna

I am trying to develop a desktop JavaFX application on Windows Vista 32-bit. For this I have installed Eclipse Luna and Java 8. Out of the box the following is underlined in red by eclipse as an error:
import com.sun.javafx.application.Application;
I found one of the solutions is to install e(fx)clipse. But when I go to
Help, Install New Software..., I select the Luna repository and then type e(fx)clipse as outlined on
http://www.eclipse.org/efxclipse/install.html
but nothing shows up and cannot proceed.
What should I do?
Thanks.
e(fx)clipse is not part of Eclipse Luna (4.4). You need at least Eclipse Mars (4.5), but for security and other reasons, you should not use outdated software.

how to upgrade eclipse in appcelerator studio

How do you upgrade the Eclipse version in Appcelerator Studio from 4.4.2 to Neon or Oxygen? I am working on PyDev projects and getting the error please update your Eclipse to 4.6 or later.
Simply adding the URL to the installation source allows add-ons but does not upgrade the Eclipse Platform. I already have Oxygen loaded on my development station. Is there a way to use that version rather than the built in version
Platform OSX 10.13, Python 2.7, Appcelerator Studio 4.10.0.201709271713, PyDev 6.0.0.2017xxxx
You can't upgrade Appcelerator Studio eclipse base version. Studio 4.10.0 comes with the Eclipse 4.4.2
However, it's planned for future release https://jira.appcelerator.org/browse/TISTUD-7565
Please provide more details about your problem in the above ticket.

Unable to install Groovy/Grails Tool Suite (GGTS) for Eclipse

Am trying to install Groovy/Grails Tool Suite (GGTS) for Eclipse into my Eclipse installation.
version of Eclipse installed:
Version: Luna Service Release 1a (4.4.1) - Windows 32-bit.
When I attempt to install ggts from the eclipse marketplace either by using the Eclipse Marketplace
menu option or by using the ggts drag to install button, the following window/error message is
obtained after selecting Confirm:
The following solutions are not available Groovy/Grails Tool Suite (GGTS) for Eclipse 3.6.4.RELEASE,
Proceed with the installation anyways?
How/can it be installed?
Thanks.
My bad. I forgot to put in the right (and versioned) update site into the Marketplace entry definition after the 3.7.0 release went out. This is fixed now. You should be able to install GGTS from the Marketplace again. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for pointing me at this here.
Keep in mind that there is no new GGTS version that is compatible with Eclipse Mars. The last version is 3.6.4 and is compatible with Eclipse 4.4 and previous versions.

Cannot install Mercurial on Eclipse Juno

Attempting to install Mercurial on Eclipse Java EE IDE Juno from
http://cbes.javaforge.com/update in the Install new software...
but,
"Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. Software being installed: codeBeamer Eclipse Studio (with Mylyn) 3.1.0.v201011161842 (org.codebeamer.eclipse.mylyn_feature.feature.group 3.1.0.v201011161842) Missing requirement: codeBeamer Eclipse Studio (with Mylyn) 3.1.0.v201011161842 (org.codebeamer.eclipse.mylyn_feature.feature.group 3.1.0.v201011161842) requires 'org.eclipse.mylyn_feature.feature.group 3.3.0' but it could not be found
I tried on Windows 7_64 and ubuntu 12.04_64. I even installed mylyn using the latest stable releases from http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/releases/latest
Any Ideas?
Already browsed web and this site.
You could also try the update URL from the Google Code repository instead, which installs only MercurialEclipse.
+1 to installing from Google Code Repository.
Initially Eclipse wouldn't start because of problems with the older version of the plugin so to get past this simply removed the jar com.vectrace.MercurialEclipse_1.9.1.v201111302231.jar from the Eclipse plugins directory then uninstalled the existing plugin and re-installed from the link in smooth reggae's post.
All seems good so far.
The problem is, that the codeBeamer Eclipse Studio requires an older version of Mylyn (3.3.0), which isn't available for Juno.
But AFAIK you don't need the whole CBES, if you only need the Mercurial features. Try to select only MercurialEclipse, it should also be available in that update site.
