How to build and install yajl-objc on iOS - iphone

Hey I am trying to get http://github.com/gabriel/yajl-objc to work on iOS. It says to "Add the YAJLIOS.framework to your project" but I am not sure how I can get/build YAJLIOS.framework
Thanks!

Although this is an old question, I came across the issue today updating a client's old project. The YAJL-objC project requires you to run a makefile command in order to compile the .framework file needed for installation.
To create the framework, checkout the latest from github, and then open Terminal. Change your directory to: yajl-objc\Project-iOS
Next, type the command make and run it. This will execute the compiling for you and create a new framework file here: yajl-objc\Project-iOS\Framework\YAJLiOS.framework
You can then drag that framework into the project you wish to use it in. Good luck!

I should have looked harder, but there is simply a download under the github download link that includes the framework.

Cocoa application with SwiftPM

My general goal is to create an app, that grabs all data from the postgreSQL database. Firstly, I connected C API libpq to connect my database. Then, I found a nice wrapper around libpq to make my life easier, thanks to Perfect. To install this wrapper, I need to create Package.swift, add a dependency and regenerate my xcodeproj with swift package generate-xcodeproj.
But when I do that, the whole structure of my project is being rebuilt and, as a result, when I run the project, a simulator doesn't start and I lose understanding on what's happening and build usually fails.
New project structure
It would've been nice if somebody explained to me, what happens when I generate a project after adding Package.swift file and how to keep everything working with new packages being added.
... when I run the project, a simulator doesn't start and I lose understanding on what's happening and build usually fails.l
I suppose you already have the libpq added and working. If this is an iOS project, try just adding the PostgresSQL.swift instead of using the package.

Error when run ClickToBuild.bat file

I downloaded the orchard galley server from codeplex repository in this link:
https://galleryserver.codeplex.com
when I want to run ClickToBuild.bat file according of the Readme.txt file for build and run all of the tests in both projects, show this error:
any one can help me?!
thanks a lot
First of all, the project has been discontinued. So you probably will not have support from the author. second, its from 2011.
Looking at your errors, it might seem you are missing assets being referenced. If you look closely to the project tree and read the Error you will see how there are Nuget packages being used. those might need updating for your project to build.
If it is an old nuget version, depending on your VS version might have problems but it salvageable. Just need to make sure all your packages are updated before building.
If you look at UpdateNuGet.bat you will be able to see how it tries to do something in the folder where the compiler tries to find the asset.
Good luck

how to put to work Ionic generator?

I have an Ionic app running with the basics of Ionic and running it in the browser by doing ionic serve, but I want some new stuff and run it trough the grunt serve command, also has the feature for JSLint, I am already using this scss this: https://github.com/diegonetto/generator-ionic/ and I see that have everything I want, how do I install that in my project?
Take into account that my project is almost done, I have almost 85 % already done.
Is this the part I need to follow up:
Upgrading
Make sure you've committed (or backed up) your local changes and install the latest version of the generator via npm install -g generator-ionic, then go ahead and re-run yo ionic inside your project's directory.
The handsome devil is smart enough to figure out what files he is attempting to overwrite and prompts you to choose how you would like to proceed. Select Y for overwriting your Gruntfile.js and bower.json to stay up-to-date with the latest workflow goodies and front-end packages.
does this will bring some complications ? is there something else I need to know ?
I use the same generator and enjoy using it. With that said, I would not recommend starting to use a generator until you've made a complete backup of your project.
Even then, I'd recommend creating a brand new project using the generator then migrating your existing code into the newly generated project. While migrating, you should be modifying your code to match the generator conventions as you go. This gives you the most control and will make sure that you learn the conventions of the new project structure. Upgrading instructions are really meant for people who already use the generator and are just upgrading to a new version of the generator. They are not applicable to you.

Issue running golang Hello World in eclipse

Alright, so just a disclaimer I suspect this question will be a duplicate of another question however I'm not even sure what to search for.
I have never used Eclipse or Golang before and am attempting to get a basic hello world application to work.
I have installed the goclipse plugin, created a new go package and go command source file. From what I have read to run a project in Eclipse you right click the package, select Run as then set the run configurations. The problem occurs when I attempt to select the go package as none shows up and if I leave it blank it throws a 'Go package not found' exception.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
EDIT: Upon the answers advice I have decided to go with the basic command line, however a friend did also recommend LiteIDE. I will "assume" tmichels answer is correct in regards to getting Go to work within eclipse.
If you don't use the GOPATH environment variable and you don't put your project folder under $GOPATH/src the compiler won't find it. As I see it goclipse lets you skip the GOPATH entirely but in this case you have to put your code under the src directory that you can see in the Project Explorer. See the related section of the goclipe documentation.
Although I think you make your life harder by using a full-fetched IDE for go development. Just use the command line tools. And it has the added benefit that you will actually understand what's going on (IDEs hide this from you).
So for building you can use go build or go install. The latter will copy the binary to your $GOPATH/bin directory. For running test just call go test or go test path/to/package. There is a hidden gem in the go tool: when you are working with multiple packages in the same directory you can use go test ./... to test all of them at once. This also works with other go commands.

Xcode upgrade: PBXContainerItemProxy missing containerPortal key

I just upgraded my Xcode, now when I try to open my project, I get this error:
Project /Users/xxx/xxxx/xxxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxxxxx.xcodeproj cannot be opened: PBXContainerItemProxy (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) is missing a containerPortal key
I have searched the web and stackoverflow, but cannot get anything relevent to come up at all regarding this.
I do have Three20 as part of my project, I don't know if that matters. I just upgraded to xcode 4.4.1
Thanks for any insight.
-D
the project icon which we see i.e projectname.xcodeproj, is actually a directory, you do this
1. in terminal do cd yourproject.xcodeproj
2.ls
3.vi project.pbxproj
4. scroll down till /* Begin PBXContainerItemProxy section */
5.there you will see all sections check for the section which is missing a portal key edit it and save it :wq it will work
in image if you see the first section is missing container portal key.just pic it from other section and replace it..
it will work :D see this link
Now I should start with that I do not know the actual error, never seen it before, but I did find a reference to a "PBXContainerProxy"-error in this post (As soon as I add a project to XCode 4.0.2 it crashes) and thought you might try the solutions from there?
"Apparently this is due to the new version of XCodeProjects. I found a
work around by pre-compiling the library that was causing the issue
and then using the linker to link to the .a file. I also had to copy
the .a library into the DerivedData path.
The real solution was to remove the project and replace it with an
updated project for the new version of XCode."
Hope that helps somewhat :)
Never saw that error either, but if you're upgrading directly from XCode 3.X I'd suggest you to go to https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action?name=Xcode
and download/install a previous version of Xcode somewhere else. (You can have several different copies installed on your machine, just google it if you don't know how but just remember to use xcode-select to pick the one you want to use). Repeat with all the versions back to 4.0.1 until (hopefully) it works. I know it's tedious but it might help.
If it does, validate the project settings and try to open it with 4.4.1. That should work.
Good luck
