can't click UIButton when it's added to UIImageView - iphone

guys, i want to click my uiButton after it's added to UIImageVIew, but it doesn't work.
this is my code :
UIButton *btnDetail = [[UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeDetailDisclosure]retain];
btnDetail.frame = CGRectMake(0,0,100,100);
[btnDetail addTarget:self action:#selector(buttonClicked) forControlEvents:UIControlEventAllTouchEvents];
[self.imageView addSubview:btnDetail];
the button can't click when i add it to UIImageVIew, but if i don't add it to UIImageView, it works properly.
please somebody help me

Note: By default the UserInteraction property of UIImageView is set to NO. This the place where most of us makes mistake.
So the main thing to check in while adding any control to UIImageView is to set its UserInteractionEnabled property to YES.
[self.imageView setUserInteractionEnabled:YES];
So modify your code as below:

UIImageView has userInteractionProperty set to NO by default so it does not handle touches and does not propagate them to its subviews. Try to set it to YES:
self.imageView.userInteractionEnabled = YES;

How to add a button in UIScrollView with addSubview?

I am new to iOS development and I have a problem with UIScrollView. First of all, I've created a Scroll View in a storyboard and added

In the viewDidLoad method I have the following code:

You need to set scroll view contents size, something like the following code.

If I put it in the viewDidLoad method it works fine. However, when I load the next view the old style button shows up. To fix this I tried putting this code in the next view's viewDidLoad method, but then no button is visible.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

I'm trying to change a UIImage in a UIButton, when highlighted. The UIButton is situated in a UINavigationController.
I have the following code:

Instead of the new image showing when highlighted, there is just a black shadow around the existing image.
Why is this?
It looks like the UIButton instance isn't getting highlighted or selected on the touch down event. This is probably because UIBarButtonItem instances don't act like normal buttons; in fact, they're not even UIButton subclasses.
There is a workaround. If you keep a reference to your UIButton in an instance variable, you can add code to change the button's image:
[barUIButton addTarget:self action:#selector(pressDown:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchDown];
[barUIButton addTarget:self action:#selector(pressUp:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUp];
In pressDown: and pressUp:, you can set the

How to fire hightlight effect on UIBarButtonItem

When you tap on a UIBarButtonItem in a UIToolbar, there is a white glow effect.
Is there a possibility to fire an event to show this effect?
I don't want to press the button. Only the effect should be displayed. I want to visualize to the user, that there is new content behind this button.

Heres the "highlight.png", I'm not kidding! (Though you may not seeing it on a white background.)
The following method assumes you are using the toolbarItems property of a navigation controller and that the button you want to highlight is the last item in that array. You can apply it to any toolbar, of course, and pick a different array index if necessary.
Right now this is not exactly perfect, because the animation moves the new button from the lower left of the screen. However, I think that can be turned off with a little effort.
Note that I used PeakJi's image.

How do I programmatically add a exit button to a UIView

When I created a UIView in my superview, I want to add a button to this view that act as an exit button.
