The 1.1 update of my App got rejected. Then, after making a change I uploaded it using the Application Loader, during uploading the Application Loader froze and I had to kill it myself. Then the status changed to “Upload Received”. So it seems the binary was uploaded anyway.
But now, it has been in “Upload Received” for 6 days (144 hours!). Normally it changes from “Upload Received” to “Waiting for Review” in a couple of minutes. iTunes Connect FAQ: “If your app has been in the Upload Received state for more than 24 hours, you should contact iTunes Connect Support through the iTunes Connect Contact Us system.”. Apple has not responded yet to my contact forms, I’ve used the contract form three times now….
In the meantime, when in status “Upload Received“ you can’t reject binary.
I'm not going to upload it using a different App name / ID, as my reviews and top list positions will be gone...
Any advice? Just wait? Anyone knows how to deal with this situation?
Cheers Jeroen
FYI, I fixed this by editing the screenshots and re-saved the metadata.
This issue was resolved by Apple on sep 3rd, after calling them (http://developer.apple.com/contact/phone.html). The phone call resulted in swift escalation within Apple.
They resolved it by putting my App in status "Waiting for review". After that, the normal process applied, after a couple of days it changed to "In review" and after 7 days total it changed to "Ready for sale".
So calling Apple would be the best action if the mails just won't get it done. I got some really standard email responses that didn't really indicate they were looking into the matter.
There is a specific selection under contact us for this very issue. Seems to be common for them to have this under the drop down. i would use this selection under contact us as it probably goes to a specific person that handles this issue.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Why is my app in Upload Received status for over 24 hours?
If your app has been delivered successfully but has the Upload Received status for more than 24 hours, there may be an issue with your binary. For additional support, use the Contact Us module.
If your app has been in the status Upload Received for over 24 hours, contact us.

How long does it take to get approval after you support your app info to the app center? We've been waiting for about 2 weeks now. Not sure if anyone has a brief timeline of how this works. Thank you.
There are currently a large number of applications in review, so I apologize for the wait.
You will get an email when your app has been scheduled for technical review, and it takes only a few days. However if there are any issues they may be required to be resolved before moving on to the Security review.
If you want to message me, I can take a look at where your application is in the queue.

How to catch application uninstalling on device and let server know about this (iOS/Android)
(2 answers)
Closed 9 years ago.
I wish to hit a web service, whenever a user deletes the app from his/her device. Its just to delete that user from Db. Can anybody here help me?? Thanks In Advance..
Generally speaking, what you are attempting is probably not advisable. Even if it were possible to know when a user has deleted the app, how would you handle the situation where the user then re-installed the application and launched it? You also do not know why the user has deleted the app (perhaps they only wish to do so temporarily to free up space on their device? Perhaps their device was stolen and they are re-installing into a new, or upgraded device?)
If you separate your concerns (client has/does not have mobile app, vs client has/does not have active account) you can manage all these scenarios in a much more robust way.
Using an in-app analytics package (like Google Analytics, Parse or Flurry to name just a few) will give you insight as to your user behavior, and perhaps based on this usage data you can trigger handlers. For example, if you see a user has not used your app in a certain period you can email them or send a push notification to remind them? Perhaps you could email them to notify them "You have not logged in in 60 days, if you do not use your account within the next 30 days it will be deleted. Click here to re-activate your account."
No, can't do. There is no defined notification when an application is deleted. If you must talk to a server, suspend inactive accounts after a predefined time limit.
One other thing you can try is check for the UIApplicationWillTerminateNotification notification. Save the state of your app on your servers when it's transitioning to the background and cross your fingers your user will not delete your app when it's not running. Because once your app closed, you don't have any control anymore. Thats the iOS behavior till iOS 6.
There is no way you could know whether the app is deleted from device or not because no delegate method fires when the app is deleted.
Hope it helps you.
I have about 25 In-App Purchase objects (IAPs) that I want to go live with a new update of my app. This is my first update with IAPs.
What Went Wrong:
I created 5 IAPs, and then submitted my app with a "developer controlled" release so it didn't go to the store until I had finished creating & submitting the rest of my IAPs, which would take me several days to complete. This seemed like a very logical plan to me (it would save me 4-5 days of calendar time, and the code can handle new IAPs dynamically), and after reading Apple's (VERY UNCLEAR) documentation on IAPs, I thought it would be possible.
Several days after submission, I finished my IAPs, but upon trying to submit them iTunes Connect then informed me that no IAPs will be approved unless they work on the 'current version'. Since my update would not be published without these IAPs, clearly my time-saving plan didn't work. Bummer!
So, I rejected my new update binary, thinking I would just re-submit with all 25 IAPs. No big deal. But after rejecting the binary, the original 5 IAPs were not rejected; they are still stuck in a 'Waiting for Review', and are thus unavailable for me to add to my update in the Version Details page.
Core Question:
How can I reject my own IAPs that are in the 'Waiting for Review' state?
If there is no way, it would seem my only option is to wait for my 5 old IAPs to be rejected, because only then would all 25 be available for submission, right..?
So much for saving time. =/
What is the normal wait time these days for iPad apps to move from "Waiting for Review" to "In Review".
Once "In Review" How long before they accepted or rejected?
This is my first app submission so wondering.
Submitted on 6th Sep.
Still "Waiting for Review"
After submitting a number of apps, as well as updates, i can say the total turn around time from submitting to available in app store ranges generally from 5-9 days. After they go "In Review" it is generally within the next business day or so to go to accepted or rejected. Hope this helps.
Note: this isn't an official report, just some gathered knowledge from going through the process a number of times.
Not directly related to your question but since this is your first submission it will go towards what to expect: Apple has officially released their app submission guidelines today, If you read through them it might save you some headache if you have broken any of their rules.
I applied a week ago to Apple via internet to join the Iphone Development Program, and sent 'em my $99.00.
I was of the impression that generally, the response was quick. However, other than an email acknowledging my purchase, I have not seen anything at all.
Would some kind soul explain to me what to expect, and when?
Thanks in advance for any information.

You'll get a phone call that verifies your credentials in about 2-4 weeks and then you're good, ie. you can get your code provisioning certificates and start submitting apps.
I'd recommend emailing apple (devenroll#apple.com) or use the contact form here: http://developer.apple.com/contact/
I registered a few weeks ago and received my activation within a few hours - no phone call from apple or anything beyond the initial $99.
I initially signed up for the iPhone developer program when registration was opened wider after the initial rush. It took about a week, I never had to talk to anybody on the phone and got the acceptance email. Once you get the email you need to activate it, but that will all be explained in the EMail.
I do most of my non-accelerometer development in the simulator and double check everything on my iPod after things are working in the simulator.
I had the same scenario as you last summer and had to call up Apple Developer Tech Support. They finished setting me up right away.
The phone number to call is found here: http://developer.apple.com/contact/phone.html
