postfix: programmatically adding a user - email

I asked this question two months ago and got nary an answer. In fact I earned the tumbleweed badge for asking a question that garnered so little interest.
However, this seems like a straightforward question with a definitive answer and I really need to be able to do this.
If there's still no answers I'd sure appreciate if anyone has any ideas about any other forums that might help me out. I tried asking godaddy but I guess I don't spend enough money with them for this level of support.
Thanks and here's the question:
I'm using a godaddy virtual dedicated
server, and the default email server
that comes bundled with it is postfix.
There is even a way to add domains and
user accounts through the godaddy
control panel.
I am trying to figure out (1) exactly
what it is they are doing to create
new accounts via the control panel,
and then (2) how to do that via a
Linux shell script.
I have never used postfix and have
been trying to wade through the man
pages and other documentation. It
appears that when the user accounts
are associated with a domain, then the
user accounts are "virtual". So far
I've discovered that when I use the
godaddy control panel to add a new
email account, it adds an entry into
/etc/postfix/turbopanel/virtual_alias.
Then, that entry also seems to get
committed to the binary
virtual_alias.db in the same
directory.
I have manually replicated the process
of adding a new email address to the
virtual_alias file and then running
postmap
/etc/postfix/turbopanel/virtual_alias
to get the entry into the
virtual_alias.db file. This works, but
some steps are missing: I am not able
to send email to the added user, and
the user doesn't show up in the
godaddy control panel.
I don't think a new Linux account
needs to be created for the virtual
alias. The accounts created via the
control panel DO NOT have an
associated entry in /etc/passwd.
Any help is much appreciated.
Jeremy

Did you want to create virtual mailboxes or forwarders for these virtual users?
see doc on
virtual_mailbox_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/vmailbox
/etc/postfix/vmailbox

Setting up Azerothcore. Where do I find and how do I edit the realmlist table in Heidi to allow computers on my LAN to join the server?

Edit: so we never obtained the answer, instead we tried it with the server and client on the same PC. This morning I tried logging into the client and it would hang on "authenticating". So I shut everything down and went back to my life for a bit. This evenng I tried again, and now it says account or password incorrect. We tried recreating the accunt and password, same thing. We made a new account and password, same thing. Any help would be appreciated. Both on this new issue and the first one below (because eventually I want us both to be able to play on our own computers). TIA
My son and I have been following the guide. We did fine until we got to the part that says: "Open the acore_auth database and find the realmlist table. You need to edit the address field according to your needs". We have searched through everything in acore_auth in Heidi and we have not been able to find where the realmlist table is, let alone how to edit it. We are using one dedicated computer for the server, and we will join the server via our laptops. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The guide has been very detailed thus far, thank you. My son is almost done with his AS in Computer Programming, with an emphasis on game design, not networking.
Upon further inspection... we discovered our acore_auth database is exmpty. All the Acore_? databases are empty. What did we miss? Any ideas?
You have to edit the table realmlist of the acore_auth database and change the address field with the LAN address of the PC where the server is running:
Reading your question it sounds much that you are trying to run AC on Windows, so I recommend reading the installation guide here https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/installation#azerothcore-classic-setup
Which also includes installation for macOS and Linux if you happen to use them.
In short to populate your database for the first time you need to run your Authserver and Worldserver applications which will automatically import the base and update files into your database. Then you go to acore_auth.realmlist and specify the address field to LAN IP (192.168.x.x) for the host PC to allow other PCs in your network to connect to it.

Powershell - Add mailbox account to Outlook

I have googled tons for this but with no success, maybe I just have the wrong approach?
Problem:
We work with migrating organizations from on premises Exchange to Office 365 and vice versa. As a service we also log in to all user computers and do the initial "add existing mailbox"-steps. Since we are using Autodiscovery-pointers this takes a lot of time. With a bad bandwidth it can take up to 15 min per user.
Our goal:
Create a Powershelscript where we can put the settings that normally being fetched by Autodiscovery and quickly add a new, existing mailbox to the computer so next time they log in they can just start the Outlook application and they are logged in.
I hope I made myself understandable, please ask if anything is unclear.
Thanks in advance!
Edit:
Maybe there is a way to go through the initial Outlook-setup via a PSSession? Then the time that an Autodiscovery takes wouldn't matter since we can do all the setups remote, unatended.

Giving an automatic email reply based on reading the subject line

I have been toying with this idea for few days now.
What I want to do is: I have a powershell script which sends mails mentioning status of some links which I am monitoring.
I wanted to add its functionality. I wanted to add a feature like, when a user sends the mail to a particular email ID with a subject line like "Status", it should send the user, the result of the powershell script.
From my perspective, an IMAP configuration needs to be done in the script. But just wanted opinion if this idea is feasible or not. I have IMAP configured in my organization. I just need to learn how to configure the script with IMAP settings so that the script can send automatic replies after reading the subject line.
IF this is possible from any other technology, then I would like to learn that as well.
EDIT:
Its not a duplicate, because here I want to know pretty basic stuff, like if its possible, and if it is, then what are the technology I need to use to make it possible. Let me know your suggestions.
I saw the duplicate question as well; well it hasn't been properly answered and the links given don't work.
Please help me here.
Thanks in advance!

Open links from newly received emails automatically

is there are program or script or anything that will make my email client/webmail to open webpage links from newly received emails automatically?
If someone knows or can make a add-on for thunderbird or make this to work I don't mind paying. Just I need links that are in emails I receive to be automatically opened in default internet browser tabs.
All I can say is I very very much doubt it. If there ever was one created it would most probably be removed by most download source providers as there is a fairly huge security risk there.
Additionally, aside from the security factor you have a simple load factor to account for. I regularly make newsletters for clients, each with a link to a text version, a online version, a link for the logo and so forth... So if you did have such a plugin you would also open these links, which seams crazy. Additionally, remember the Unsubscribe link for emails, on some you are asked to confirm on others you click(/open), your taken off. Which would be very undesired.
I do understand you probably have a reason X for doing this, like because its a in house email system which creates reports and it does this and does that etc. I think most people here do understand there are sometimes very odd usage cases for things, but I don't think anyone will be able to assist you here, sorry!

Authenticate via POP3 using vPopMail

I'm working on installing vPopMail on CentOS for use with a Qmail / Courier-IMAP mail-server setup. So far, everything is working out well enough. Mail sent to any virtual user I have setup under any virtual domain (assuming MX records are pointed correctly in the domain DNS) I add to vPopMail is routed correctly to the vPopMail ./Maildir/ and is viewable in /home/vpopmail/domains/domain-example.com/user.name/Maildir/new.
The problem I'm having now is telling the pop service to authenticate using vPopMail instead of the ~default~ Qmail / Courier-IMAP authentication method(s).
"You also need to modify your pop server startup line to use the vchkpw program for authentication." (found at http://www.inter7.com/vpopmail/vpopmail.html) is all I can find in any documentation to even give me the clue that that needs to be done.
So, the question:
How do I tell my pop server to authenticate with vPopMail?
Thanks so much in advance! :)
(Feel free to let me know what (if) more info is needed to answer my question..)
Id go ahead and check this out
http://www.inter7.com/vpopmail/install.txt
namely item 12
then go ahead and add those lines to your rc.local file or rc.sysinit
good luck
