One of my apps recently appeared on the "Top Reference" list on iTunes for iPad apps.
Is there a published note on how iTunes calculates this list? Is it sales only, or is it customer ranking, etc?
I believe it is judged be sales since I have seen 3 star apps appear at the top of lists in the App Store. Correct me if I'm wrong, but sales is the factor.

I want to know the number of users who install my application from itunes store, where can I found it?
Note: I don't want Google Analytics, I just want the number of users who install it in their devices.
Otherwise, with android applications, you can see the installation and active installations (the number of users who install the application from play store).
Apple just updated https://itunesconnect.apple.com site you can adjust the date range in the middle of screen (using the slider) or by adjusting the dates on top left corner after navigating to sale and trends screen to see how many downloads you have had.
You can find the number in iTunes Connect.
Login to iTunes Connect.
Sales and Trends
Select the app and you can see daily, weekly and monthly sales/downloads.
However, you won't be able to find out whether they are actively using the application or not.
Bear with me, because I haven't figured out what is going on right now.
Situation : My app got approved and published on AppStore approximately 5 days ago. Since that day I have been tracking my app, but I haven't seen any iAds showing on my 2 devices, although my test iAds was working.
1- I have enabled iAd, it is still enabled.
2- I have all contracts on iTunesConnect "in effect".
3- I am checking up on my iAd Network page within iTunesConnect and I can see small impressions, e-CPM and revenue. (which should mean that someone can see iAds somewhere)
Any ideas on what is going on and how should I solve this issue will be appriciated.
Additional information can be supplied.
Edit: There are question like this one on StackOverFlow but non of them seem to identify the problem and solve the issue.
For all who is having such issues; (guess I should have been looking deeply before I implement)
According to iAd Developer Support Team;
"iAd advertisements are currently being served to apps on the U.S., U.K., Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Japan, and Canada App Stores. For more information and updates on international expansion"
If your app's primary target counrty is not listed above, you might want to look at https://developers.google.com/mobile-ads-sdk/docs/ on how to integrate Google Ads on your app.
Is it possible to have the same identical app on App Store, but under two different developer accounts, and slightly different names?
I need to move an app from one dev account to another, but I would like it uploaded on the new account before removing it from the old one.
Anyone have experience with this?
The two apps will have to have unique and different iTunes Connect names and different Bundle IDs. The only sure way to determine whether or not this is possible is to submit the new app, and see if Apple approves it.
I've seen the same app "Smart Alarm Clock" by Arawella corp being sold both as a free version and as a paid version. They essentially have the same app twice in the app store, just with different icons. If a company that big can get away with that, you can probably too (paid and free version)
Is there a way I can see how many times my iPhone app has been downloaded?
I've found on this forum you can see it under Sales and Trends, but there is no daily report to be found.
Do the stats of a free app come there too? or is it only for apps you have to pay for?
If so, is there a way to find out how many times my free app has been downloaded?
You CAN see daily reports (even for free apps) under Sales and Trends, but those reports are created in the morning. SO, if your app just came out today, you won't see anything under Sales and Trends until tomorrow morning around 8 or 9AM. However, Apple can (and has been known to) take longer than that to release the previous day's report.
There is a iPhone app by Apple to view sales. It will also show free downloads.

On the Sales screen in iTunes Connect, there is a date/year just under the menu bar on the right. Clicking that date will bring up the options for the date range of the report. This enables you to see your downloads or sales for the day/week/month/year selected.
Be sure to specify your desire to see free, paid, or all by clicking the current selection (free, paid, all) located just under the iOS heading at the top of the page.
I dressed up a screenshot to illustrate, but I don't have enough reputation points to post it!
It's posted to G+ instead: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-OMg1J922zm0/UtWYErBSlwI/AAAAAAAAGe8/E87ySSOjWnM/w426-h273/iTunes+Connect+Screenshot.png

Obviously there are many iTunes app stores and many different sections to be featured in, so how do you know if your app is featured in the app store? How would I as an American know that my app is featured in the What's Hot Entertainment section of the Australian store? Is there some central place to check?
http://www.appannie.com tells you exactly how many positions you are featured in and where.
You can sign up for a free account at AppLyzer. They provides free daily monitoring of all the various app stores so you can quickly see your rankings as well as if you're featured in any of them. You may also sign up for pro features, but just for checking if you're featured the free account will do fine.
I signed up myself a few weeks back and was surprized to see that I had recently been featured 3 times in the US store as "What's Hot".
It's a bit long winded .. but you could open iTunes and change the country (click on the flag, bottom right) ...
Once you're switched stores you can check out where you app is, if it's being featured etc, in the chosen country.
Just remember to switch it back when you're done
